He is the reason the 2017 Astros will always make me upset. He never got his ring Dre was my favorite dodger of those days and one of my all time favorites
He was one of the nicest players I’ve ever met. His 1st picture day my grandma called him over and told him he would be a star and dodger for life, at the time he was a nobody. He never forgot her and made an effort to find her at every picture day, meet and greet, and signing, he even knew when we missed an event. We got lucky to see him one final time after his ceremony and on his way out of the stadium, he said how happy he was to see her that night. 100% the nicest thing about the Dodgers in my life
Man those early to mid 2010 dodgers teams were my childhood my second favorite player was either behind only Clayton Kershaw. Always came through when you needed him too and ended up a dodgers lifer and legend. Just sucks we couldn’t finish the job in 2017 for him 🥲

I guess I never realized it but Andre was definitely one of my favorite players. He's a guy that nobody ever really talks about but he was always a staple of my childhood. He was one of the new Boys of Summer, at least to me. It's a shame that he didn't get to win that World Series because he definitely deserved it. We miss you, Andre. You were always one of the most reliable guys and always seemed very genuine.
Eithier is a local superstar to me. He played in a league called the NECBL on a team called the swamp bats that was super close to my house growing up. It was really cool to see him go up through the farm system and become a solid player
One of the biggest failures I think the Dodgers ever done in my eyes was failing to give Andre a ring. I really loved Ethier. He was my favorite player growing up and it was an absolute joy watching him play his entire MLB career at Dodgers Stadium. He may never get into the Hall of Fame but yea you’re right. He’ll always be a Dodgers legend here.
@@viper6525D brother I’ll say this and I’ve said it since it happened. I’m 38 and was 3 in 88’ all the wait till’ next year that haunted my every moment of Dodger fandom left on 10/27/20. Yes there were teams I wish would’ve won or certain players I wish would’ve won a ring here but it didn’t happen and I made my peace with it. The WS 2020 is the happiest I’ve ever been as a fan. Besides if we didnt win, then we'd just have everyone say "haha ya couldnt even win a covid cup" so stupid.
This dodgers team defines me of my early childhood during elementary school. Ethier was my favorite player growing up, and i’m so happy to see him getting talked about
Thanks for the vid! Lot of memories growing up with ethier. I started watching in 2006, so my entire childhood, he was on the team. Happy that he was able to be in the world series with us in '17, a shame that the asterisks had to take away his chance for a ring
Don’t forget Russell Martin and James loney 😢 may not have been the best core in all of baseball at the time but was a good set of players at the time when the dodgers weren’t so financially quipped
Darin Erstad deserves some love for being underrated. Great hitter, starter for the WS winning Angels, and (if I I remember correctly) the first player to win and Gold Glove in both the outfield and infield.
I appreciate you guys using this platform to give underrated players their flowers. As a Mariners fan, I'd like to see y'all give the same to Dan Wilson. He's not a Hall of Famer either, but he was an important, consistent part of all of those late-'90s, early-'00s contenders, and we M's fans love him dearly.
I will always stand by Charlie Culberson. Such a fascinating player. At one point in his career he had less than 10 homers, and yet 3 of them were walk offs. Such a cool guy and Dansby's twin as well.
Even though I wasn’t Dodgers fan, I have Andre rookie card and I roof for him, I was upset when dodgers didn’t allow him keep on playing wish he was able play until dodgers got their ring. But he’ll be forever a Dodgers legend
Andre Ethier was one of my favorite Dodgers ever growing up. I'm glad is crazy clutch ability is finally getting some recognition. It was fun to watch.
Ah man I still remember that 2008 season. I remember going to Chavez Ravine the day after we acquired Manny Ramirez and I remember when we won the division before a game I believe due to a Dback loss. The bullpen came out and started throwing balls into the stands, I almost got one but my date got in the way. Man I miss that team, and I still hate the Phillies.
I have a suggestion! Do Wade Miley. He’s had a very eclectic career progression that people don’t really give a lot of credit to him for. He’s been a part of a few memorable feats like the fake pitcher stunt in the 2018 NLCS, a no-hitter in the 2021 season, and an afterthought free agency signing for arguably the greatest team of this millennium, the 2019 Astros. Also it’s been wild to see him signed at age 36 to return to the Brewers and he’s put together a productive season and been their only signing this offseason that has panned out for them lol
Please cover David Wrights career . He was truly a talent in the sport. Some notable moments you can cover are his WBC tear that earned him the nickname "Captain America", defensive highlights- especially his bare hand catch in San Diego, World Series Home Run at Citi Field in the first game the stadium ever held after return from injury-riddled season, Walk-off Hit against Mariano Rivera, homer in his first at bat of his first all star game appearance, leader in all time Mets hits, and his goodbye. There are plenty of other moments you can cover. He is really underrated and really only Mets fans know about him, he really was special and had so much love and passion for the sport.
He is under-appreciated by Los Angeles and Dodgers fans. A key part of the backbone of the Dodgers for his whole career, surviving many different changes in the franchise from player trades and management and coach changes. One of LA's GOATs
I’ve said it before but goddamnit Mark Bellhorn deserves a video. Guy was the true deserving MVP of the 2004 World Series, and while he only played two full seasons for the Cubs in 02 and the Red Sox in 04, they were GREAT seasons.
Keeping in mind that they have blown a lot of leads this year, you should do a video about the Marlins come from behind wins this year (and losses depending on how the year pans out).
Tino Martinez, another guy I'd consider a king of clutch but he is really underrated. Not many people talk about him other than him being a part of the yankees dynasty but I'd be nice for someone to real dive into his career, and he wasn't a bad player to say the least.
Gary Sheffield doesn't get the recognition he deserves imo. He was one of the best hitters during his career run, with an ops+ of 140, over 500hr and 300ish more walks than strikeouts.
