Which vr headset its the best of all time?
quest 3!!!
e
Quest 3 of course
quest 3 is awesome but the valve index was great for its time too
For gameing and Tracking Vale index win
Even Meta Quest 3 still have to use vale tracking 3 and index controller
Rift S!!!!, my opinion lmfao
I had an index and sold it to get a quest 2 when it came out, now im using a quest 3 and the only two things im still missing about the index are the knuckles and the speakers! Besides that i wouldn't go back to the index at all, it was heavy, bulky, cable bound and the resolution and its lenses/displays compared to the quest 3 pancakes are outdated trash. Perfect setup for me at the moment would be the quest 3 combined with the index knuckles
Thank you that’s really helpful. Is it possible to pair the index’s knuckles with the quest headset?
I got a quest two but never played it because I was disgusted by the resolution, even though I had the oculus link and the bells and whistles
Was the index better than the quest two at least
yeah I agree on the point you make man
@papafizzz sorry I saw your comment just now , yeah I think it would still be possible as you could aswell bind them with the quest 2 but you will need some special usb dongles for that and also the light houses
They make grips that do the same thing but it won't track your fingers
I really hope the controllers for the second Valve headset get some upgrades so that they're less fragile and don't get stick drift. I still want finger tracking though, I LOVE it. I also hope that the headset has pancake lenses along with a better resolution. That would be the perfect headset for me.
I hope so too. but valve is known for letting us wait for a long timeee.
Forgot to mention that you can get a wireless adapter for the index so you aren’t cable bound.
true but that makes the price even higher then it already is don't you think?
@@VRelity Plus it doesnt work very well. Currently as far as i know the only front runner for a wireless adapter is Nofio and they are still not easily available. Still in early development and just now delivering Kickstarter packs while also under performing. So its not a complete solution yet.
The Quest 3 controller gets lost A LOT when your hand is idle hanging near your waist.
that is true tracking is still far from perfect
If you're super into VR games: Valve Index or HTC
If you only want a VR headset for a few games here or there: Meta Quest 3
I personally used to have some HTC vr headsets but slowly stepped away from it. I think for pcvr the valve index is awesome but to old for the tech and price. I hope you enjoyed the video though
@VRelity it most certainly did! I've been looking into VR gaming, but I'm not one that wants to drop over $1000 into it. The price difference between the HTC Vive and the Meta Quest 3 had me skeptical at first as someone who's new to VR gaming. I was like, "Okay, but why is this one so cheap compared to other ones?" But your video certainly helped me put my worries to the side! I'm definitely gonna get a meta quest 3, hopefully sometime soon, lol
I hope the index 2 comes soon
I’m predicting It will come out whenever AMD Zen 5 comes out.
If for example Zen 5 comes out in Q2. Then we should see the index 2 in Q3 2024.
If zen 5 comes out in Q3. The we should see index 2 in Q4 2024.
Just basically Get AMD release their new 9000 processors as the Index 2 is confirmed to use an AMD APU.
In terms the index 2 is basically going to be a hybrid headset like the quest 3.
@@AnonymousUser-ww6ns index 2 will come out in half life 3 (hope fully not)
Both Headsets work for different people perfectly imo. Sure, Index doesn't let you take it anywhere, but I have no friends who would go anywhere but their room with their headset, and I am of the same volition. For me, the Index seems a much better investment of money, albeit a lot more cost-wise. I already have a beefy PC, and I wouldn't ask someone who just "wants to try it out" to spend 2000+ dollars on a PC and headset that is admittedly getting older.
I don't mind the bulk or wire, especially since you can get pulley systems to keep the cord above you at all time and out of the way of the action, and augmented reality is just something that doesn't interest me unless it's essentially a pair of glasses on my face, something very light.
For people who have similar tastes, and have the money/setup, I personally would say to invest in PCVR, since Valve's software allows for light-modding, deeper tinkering with its software, and of course, the special controllers which sorta steal the show. If I could have the controllers with my old headset, I would've likely bought them first, headset later. (Also while this doesn't pretain to the headsets themselves, I don't like Facebook)
Thanks for the awesome comment. What is your favourite vr headset at the moment?
I had a PC first. My first VR headset was a rift cv1 and I really liked it but now I'm trying out index
@@marydeceptishroom9351 niceeee
Not really you can still have a headset that’s undoubtedly better which the quest 3 is but if you like valve and like spending money then I guess the index is for you
@@melodic1941pcvr doesn’t die & will have better performance if you have a decent setup already. I’d sacrifice a little resolution for those reasons. Not to mention if wires bother you, there are wireless adapters. No discredit to the Quest 3, it’s a great headset, but it’s not undoubtedly better, they both have their use cases. I don’t have either, I have a HTC Vive. I’m hoping Valve is taking notes and implementing them into the “Index 2”
I like the quests resolution and the indexs knuckles for pc gaming. Dont care about mixed reality. Wish there was a best of both worlds or the index would go on sale at some point
just buy a used index you can get a used one for around 500, just make sure you contact the selling making sure the index is in perfect condition, scuff marks on the headset dont matter its just looks won't impact the feel.
Yeah I love the knuckle controllers of the index.
It’s incredible the Index is still arguably the best after 5 years. It is similarly incredible that the price hasn’t dropped one penny in those 5 years.
both incredible indead XD. Which headset do you prefer though ?
@@VRelity I haven't tried Quest 3, so couldn't say.
I recently got the Valve kit (with lighthouse) on sale for $500. It can take full advantage of my 4090. The last quest I had, required my Facebook account and all kinds of other BS, couldn't really connect to my PC and take full advantage of my graphics card and high end pc. I haven't gotten the quest3, but I might and have the best of it all - mobility when I want it, and a power grind when I want it.
that is a good deal
@@VRelityThanks! It was used on eBay, and as luck would have it, it was in excellent condition.
Language.
I have quest 3 and use air link for mobility and link cable to take full advantage of pc vr graphics
To be honest I wouldn’t buy an Index at full price. It’s 5 years old and is in its twilight years.
However at a price of around $500 I would do it as it still offers decent features such as finger tracking.
But yeah Zen 5 form AMd might release in Q2 2024 and if that happens then we will get the index 2 in Q3 2024. The reason is because index 2 is a hybrid headset like the quest 3 and will use a Zen 5 Amd APU.
But yeah I’m right now praying for AMD to release their 9000 series processors.
Also if you look the fake Value Prism. You can get an ideal for what specs it may have along with possible pricing.
is it Just me or the Valve VR kit is now 1433$ on Amazon ?? .. If someone can tell me why since this tech came out in 2018.
It’s like that because of resellers if you get the index off of steam it’s $1000 no shipping
yeah its crazy expensive
Dont get it of amazon tho, is safer threw steam. And my friend got scammed of amazon because he bought of amazon for 1k and it said "full kit" and it only came with the headset
i say the index i honestly feel that wired will always be superior to anything wireless. i feel this way because the blatancy is always less with anything wired and data is a bit more secure over wired then wireless but maybe I'm just being bias i have no idea. i have tried wireless vr b4 a tpcast on my rift cv1 but the experience was so bad sure wireless is more convenient but not everything needs to be. also the base stations have far superior tracking the inside out tracking cant work well if u put your hand behind your head. also meta has lost my trust after screwing over the rift cv1 ppl with that facebook account requirement bs, i know it was taken back but still the damage was already done.
I think rift compared to quest 3 is also a big difference though
as a person thats used all quest headsets except for the pro and has been using the quest 3 since after a week it came out, i cant stand the quest headsets, its slowed down overtime, the accesories cost nearly an arm and a leg (or im just broke), it runs games just like a quest 2 does because nothing is optimised for the quest 3, the passthrough is basically the same thing as quest 2s passthrough but with colour, etc. if you have the budget and time, go for the valve index
I understand what you mean but personally i feel like quest 3 is a big upgrade from quest 2. while not all games have the advantage of the newer hard wear, there are some that have a big quality upgrade and even some that are only available on quest 3 in the first place. The passthrough besides the colour also has much more possibilities regarding mixed reality which i personally think will only grow in the near future. That said though what is your favourite vr game of all time?
You have a price of 500 and 1000 dollars,In my country,Quest 3 is 30000 money and valve index is 53000.😭
that is crazy.
In dollars ?? What country ?
Also you have a average monthly income of 25000 dollars. In my country,We also have an 25000 average income. So we can’t get a vr headset with a monthly income. But I still love my country bc it has free lifetime hospital service including surgeries and the medicines.
which one is good for skyrim?
pcvr
Oh by the way the quest 3 can do what the index controls can do and more as the quest 3 tracks your hands and conrtolers at all times it's just very under untlized at the moment.
true but knuckles can track each individual finger while quest 3 only your thumb index and middle finger, next to that is also stay attached to your hand compared to meta quest 3 controller
Index controllers are the best rn, point blank no question.
What game is at 4:58?
its called stride fates. i hope that helps?
Ima say thanks for this guy.
Thanks my dude 🙏@VRelity
@@Loftiii no problem haha
Your basically god mode if you both rock a quest 3 and a valve index.
What about a quest pro with valve index controllers and base stations?
yessss
@@Memtex quest pro is bad
@@GavinKoth not really it’s the best pcvr headset rn being better than the index and others
If ur a pc player def index but stand def quest 3 and if ur getting index and don’t have a good pc ur screwed
yup
I'm about to find out if my PC explodes or not
📍4:18
huh ?
uhm
i would argue psvr2 is going to be the best pcvr headset when compatibility is established. the only loss is finger tracking on index but personally the finger tracking annoys me i like to have a good grip on my controllers
Honestly I really think it might be the ability to use Steam Link on the PS5.
But who knows anything can happen.
Honestly I would prefer to buy PCVR2 in plug it in my PC (no PS5 required)
@@AnonymousUser-ww6ns it seems like it’s going to connect to pc as I believe they recently updated the firmware to allow it to run on Nvidia GPUs.
@zenna really that is new information. Well that’s great then.
Honestly on the day that it receives Full PCVR support I will buy it over the Quest 3. I have a strong pc that can handle it anyways. Also those OLED displays and eye tracking will be nice in VRC.
Meta kind of made me angry with their support and policy’s.
I would expected better form them
I've heard some negative things about the PSVR2 headset though like small sweet spot and the headstrap easily moving around if you move around a lot? Still i'd be interested in it just to have a wired PCVR headset that isn't too expensive and the OLED lenses.
and Quest 3 have some wirelles stuff, but battery is not that great...playing without cable=nothing impressive
i cant choose wich one :D im much more scared from Zuckk data grabbing like from older Valve index :D
i think it might also depend on what games you paly a lot
@@VRelity true true :) maybe i wait like year :D i was expecting Valve to realease new index, but possibly that not gonna happen :/
@@matejkuka797 it might be a long time yeah although I wish it was soon
Does the Quest 3 need you to have Facebook?
No it does require you to have a meta account though
@@VRelity Thanks for replying, I see that includes Instagram so I guess I'm good to go then
@@jeroenvdw awesome enjoy man
Bof vr head sets!
not sure i understand?
Obvious a Facebook ad!
Brother I wish it was but it's not it is my personal opinion and I hope you still enjoyed the video. Stay awesome
Yea let facebook brick my VR headset becasue I posted somewhere that men should not be in women's rest rooms.
dam yeah its rough outside right now
