It was brilliance bringing Pino's main theme back into the mix for the end credits after the rousing conclusion. It wrapped the 'opera' of the whole film up nicely into a circle.
I was only 17 when my ex ex girlfriend wanted to watch this movie, I told her it’s not for the faith of heart, Actually I warned her, she blamed me for her nightmares after this scene . I told her, but she had to learn for herself.
Never understood the ending of Carrie, it makes her out to be the villain or a monster, with the hand coming out of the ground and the Carrie white burn in hell marker when she was the victim, and why does the house collapse in on itself when the mother dies?
The ending was all a nightmare that Sue was having because she was traumatized from what happened that night at the prom. She says in the sequel that 73 people had died that night, and she was so shaken up from it that she was sent to a mental hospital for a long time afterwards. And the house collapses because Carrie felt so guilty over killing her mother (even though it was in self-defense) that the emotion was too much, which made her powers spiral out of control. Hope this clears it up.
I loved ( Sue Snell ) character , she has a beautiful , soft soul . And surely ( Pino Donaggio ) is a great composser .
H liked Sue’s character

The Flute soli was a beautiful composition and so very well played.
when she grabs her hand is by far the best part of this movie( the music !!!!!!!! )
I was 10 years old, when I watched that movie. This scene brought me sleepless nights for weeks.
Omg I totally agree
Yo salté de la butaca del cine en 1979 cuando la ví, tenia 14 años.
that was actually sissy raising her hand from the ground like that, so that's badass i think i loved it
And by far on of the scariest moments in the movie a well
The flute soli part is beautiful.

This version of the track should have been in the official soundtrack. Such a tragic and horrific piece of music.

This movie scared the hell out of me as a 7 year old
Cuando agarro su mano casi me dio un infarto jajajaj, muy bien ambientada la escena
You can hear Pino Donaggio's Carrie music in Snake in the Eagle's Shadow(1978) when Jackie Chan's character gets beaten up.
which part?
