I'm up here in the PNW. It can get down to zero easily. After 2 winters of freezing, decided to finally do this. Time will tell, but great work. Got mine installed no issues. Yay. One has to love working above your head, some form of ancient torture I think. Thanks much.
Thank you, sir!! I ordered this to replace my old Brisk Air unit of 38 years on my Allegro. Got the new Dometic unit installed and started to work on installing the "Lectric" heat (it was spelled that way on my original Brisk Air!!) and found your video! Thanks again!!
I'm picking up a Kodiak Cub 177RB tomorrow and the salesman said they don't install the heat option. I'm glad now, because after watching your video, I know this is something I can clearly do myself - super easy upgrade. Thank you so much for posting this. Awesome!!!
mine says low fan where yours says optional Heat. but the right knob has cold and heat indicators. same units does this work on all models mine looks like yours.
Great videos. They helped me decide to pickup the same camper. Do you have any trouble making the table into a bed? Those are pretty standard straight forward designs but I can't get the cushions to fit. They are to wide. I'm not sure it will get any better after break in.
This is the one I used: www.amazon.com/dp/B00EWX3Y2C This videos shows the install process for a Dometic Heater Kit (3314998) for use in AC units B57915, B59516, 457915, 459516, 540315, 540316, 640312, and 640315.
Ed great video. I bought a 2020 Mallard M185 because you’re video’s made it look like a great fit for me. Can you tell me how to light the gas furnace? Is it located under the refrigerator? Thank you for all of you’re content!
Mine self lights by turning on the thermostat and lowering the temperature. I did replace my thermostat as the original one had a tough switch and I was worried about it getting broken off. ruclips.net/video/6tA0xnnvpb4/видео.html

Thank you... I was trying to find out why the heat source did work. You have to buy the kit

Thank you for this video. Easy install, took less than 20 minutes.
You certainly showed me how easy the procedure is. I saw a heater element on Amazon for $84. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome video. Very easy to understand how part is installed.
Much appreciated - gave me the confidence to add one quickly

Nice video, Ed! Thanks so much for a clear, concise explanation.
Great walk through on installation. Thanks
Yet another GREAT video Ed...thanks so much. I’m learning a lot about how to improve my camper.
Thanks for sharing this video. Helped me out alot.
Awesome dude! Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!!
AHH YESS THE DAHMTECH, much better than the dometic version
LOL. Yes, we've all had our challenges with how things are pronounced but he did deliver!
I will definitely be doing this. Thanks
this was super helpful, thank you
Very helpful video, thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much! Where do you order one and how much is the unit??
mine says low fan where yours says optional Heat. but the right knob has cold and heat indicators. same units does this work on all models mine looks like yours.

So what does the “black setting” do
VERY WELL DONE ! THANK,S PATRICK.P
Very helpful, thanks!

It gets a bit better. I usually the side one last, and that keeps them from popping up.
Can u run this ac on low; or does it have to be on max ac? For condensation?
No speed setting when on Optional Heat. But you can use the various speeds for fan or cool modes. For AC, yes, you can run on low.
Can you tell me what model a/c this is?
Thanks for the video! Seems simple enough. FYI - it’s pronounced doe-me-tic 😉
Had me cracking up
Can u give me the link where i can buy the heater coil? Thanks for this video.

Thanks for the video, but your Amazon link doesn't work anymore
i just checked it, it worked for me. if it still doesn't, search for "Dometic Heater Kit (3314998)"
@@EdwardCzajka thanks don't know why it won't work for me thanks again for the part number
I just installed one. The heater sucks. It barely gets warm. A small space heater does a much better job.
Can you repost the link or part number? I know it's an old thread but worth a shot.

I was not surprised that you had to buy an upgrade for the heat to work, but I was surprised that it only cost me $70 an Amazon.
Do you still do this? I have a question about this.
This was an install on my own trailer. What question do you have?

it looks like it would restrict the outlet a lot, so when used for cooling the AC would not cool as good with this installed.
