Before becoming Presbyterian, I was a Oneness Pentecostal. Here’s the order of worship (completely unbiased perspective):
    - Sing an upbeat song. If at any time the Spirit “begins to move”, abandon all other plans including the preaching of the word
    - Announcements
    - More upbeat songs to try to get the Spirit moving
    - Sermon (scripture optional), yell a lot in “tongues” to try to get the Spirit moving. Deny the Trinity at least once; bonus points for any other heresy you can sneak in.
    - Somber Song + Altar call
    - No formal dismissal. People leave when they feel prayed out.
Sunday morning altar call was a bit shorter to beat the lunch crowd, but these would last for like 3-4 hours on Sunday evenings.

Great video, I was just wondering/lamenting about how my church (Free Church of Scotland) only hold communion services every 2 months. I agree with Calvin and Luther in that we should do it every Sunday. It appears to me that this is what the early church did.
Our services tend to follow this order:
    Call to worship
    Psalm/Hymn
    Prayer
    Reading (short)
    Psalm/hymn
Prayer - Confession of Sin & Intercessions
    Psalm/hymn
Reading (that the sermon will be based on)
    Sermon
    Psalm/hymn
    Benediction

    Our services follow this order;
    invocation (always form the Psalms)
    prayer
    worship (2 songs)
    reading of the law,
    pastoral prayer
    offering
    worship (2 songs)
    reading of the sermon scripture
    elder prays over preaching pastor
    sermon
    response in worship (1 song)
    mission/missionary update & prayer
    benediction
we participate in the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of every month

Member of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. This is what our services look like
Call to Worship (From scripture, normally the Psalms)
    Hymn (Sometimes a Psalm)
Prayer of Adoration and Confession (sometimes concluding with Lord’s Prayer)
    Bible Reading
    Children’s Address
    Hymn (Normally a Children’s hymn)
    Prayer of Intercession
    Bible Reading
    Hymn
    Sermon
    Prayer
    Hymn
    Benediction
Very obviously influenced by Knox and the Church of Scotland at large

At my church we begin with singing then break for church announcements then two more songs, then a reading of Scripture, followed by a fourth song. Then an elder reads the text for the service and leads the church in a prayer. Then we have the sermon followed by a prayer. On weeks we celebrate the Lord’s supper, we then do reading from 1 Corinthians 11, followed by a warning, then the elements are passed and we sing a song. We then take the elements together, sing a final song, then our pastor gives a benediction

I attend a PCA church and this is the outline of service: Reflection, Call To Worship, Prayer of Adoration, Hymns of Adoration, Confession of Sin, Silent Confession of Sin, Hymn of God's Mercy, Confession of Faith(1-2 questions of WCF/Heidelberg/Belgic), Old Testament Reading, Offerings, Doxology, Pastoral Prayer, Sermon, Hymn of Response and finally Benediction.

My Church follow a similiar line of liturgy
Call to Worship (typically from a Psalm or Epistle)
    Hymn (two to three)
    Prayer of Thanksgiving
    Lord's Prayer
    Hymn
    Scripture reading (typically OT)
    Prayer of Adoration
    Creed
    Scripture reading and Confession
Hymn (Children leave for Sunday School)
    Sermon
    Hymn (usually 2)
    Benediction
We have the Lord's Supper every other week on an evening service. Its shorter and mainly revolve around praying for different things, short sermon and the Eucharist. The Pastor typically reads out the words of institution and then elements are passed around in silence. Its interesting how close it is to these fellas worship, personally I would like to have the Lord's Supper every service but generally a nice liturgy.

I am a Pentecostal pastor. We start with a call to worship that usually contains scripture reading. Followed by singing, a mixture of contemporary and hymns. We do communion once a month. It follows after worship with a time of confession, reading from a Gospel and blessing the elements. Next would be Preaching most often Expository. Followed by the Benedition. Depending on the service, we have an altar call - a time to be prayed for by an Elder either after the singing or preaching. In the past we often recited the Apostles Creed. Probably need to work that back in

I want a Reformed Baptist Church, unfortunately I live in a place where there are none.
All I have is a non-Denominational Church. Our order of worship (if you can call it that) looks like this:
    - some thought from the pastor on some text of Scripture at the beginning.
    - prayer
    - worship songs (all contemporary)
    - Corporate reading of a Psalm
    - prayer before the sermon
    - Reading of the Scripture passage
    - sermon
    - prayer and reflection before the Lord's Supper
    - Lord's Supper with reading from 1 Corinthians 11
    - final worship song (contemporary)
    - prayer
    - Announcements
    - small groups for 'fellowship'

I’m from Wisconsin. The Catholic and Lutheran services are identical. This is for the old LCA and American Lutherans. They merged in the mid 70s and are now the ELCA Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We also have Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. And also the Missouri Synod Lutherans. In the 2000s, the ELCA voted to have gay priests. Some Lutherans said Not Happening and broke off. They formed the North American Lutheran Church. All these Lutheran churches have identical liturgies to the Catholic Church. In the 60s and 70s, charismatic and Ecumenical groups were popular. My opinion is that Lutherans changed the liturgy to become One World Religion. They used to have the Nunc Dominus and The Magnificat in the liturgy, but no more. The services are vastly different from what they were in 1965 when I was a kid. The worship order is similar to John Calvin’s. I asked a Lutheran pastor why it changed. He told me it was to become more like Luther’s service, but I’m suspicious of the Ecumenical movement at the same time. You are right. In the 1960s, there were no microphones and sound systems. Pastors practiced throwing their voices in seminary so all could hear. The high ceilings on the old churches are designed for amplification. It’s not for music but for the hearing of the Word. We parochial school kids were told to speak loudly so even the mom in the back row with the crying baby could hear us. Hope this isn’t too long and boring.

Very interesting video. So basically there's not much differences in worship style from today.
Here in this place, the ‘Presbyterian Church’ was formerly known as ‘Welsh Calvinistic Methodist Church’
Sometimes it's so confusing to understand how ‘different committees’ work, how many are there etc. 😅
If possible Can you do a video on these?
    - Presbyterian Church Structure
    - its constitution
    - Different Committees and branches
    - Different Congregations
    - Synods

Calvin and Knox would not have had instrumental accompaniment to singing. As I understand it, reformed singing tended to be a cappella (from the chapel).

I miss going to church and wish I could have a good church to go to, I want a church that would have the word of Yahweh, have the apostles creed. Have the older style worship.

I was surprised to see a lack of corporate confession and absolution in the Lutheran liturgy. I wonder if private confession and absolution were still robust enough in the Lutheran church at that time to cause it to seem unnecessary in corporate worship.

A "band" and have everyone stand and that's practically all they did the entire time with maybe 15-20 minutes of a pastor talking somewhere in-between then it was time to go home. I can't stand it, so I quit going. Absolutely awful. Absolutely disgusting feeling and it turned me off from religion completely. Too early in the morning for that loud shit.

It’s nice how the Reformed order of worship doesn’t pin everything on the preacher. There’s so much scripture, prayer, and gospel proclamation embedded in it that any service can survive a clunker sermon.
