Thanks for keeping it all Ford I hate it when people ls swap a Mustang it’s nice to see a mean Ford engine in such a nice car bet it would fly on the quarter mile
Austin, congratulations on using ingenuity using off the shelf items to achieve a very fast car. No bling approach to reach a goal speaks volumes about you. Anybody can throw a catalog at a project, however you have used what’s on hand. Tell us more about mods to the heads, valve train, and cam selection. Thank you looking forward to future videos.
I would really enjoy to see how you wired the engine, ignition, switch panel and starter circuit. Im tearing my 85 down this winter and rewiring the engine bay is a must!
if you're truly budget and just doing a race car, you may find companies that sell trailer and tractor rewiring kits to farmers may have something, otherwise hit your local circle track and see where they buy a basic system.
Hello Austin I think you will have a good channel here people like budget builds , I always see budget builds being 10,000 dollars on RUclips so I'm happy to see someone like you bringing budget builds back down to earth, this is what I do on my channel we run factory parts , I subbed hope that helps and I'll try and give you a shout out on my channel also good luck and thanks for posting oh by the way I had to laugh when I saw the number 777 on your window that's the number we run on our cars also I use that number because it's God's number, take care God bless
You have nice really nice budget combo. It’s my go to choice. I have 2 carburetor foxbodys running gtp explorer engines. Similar to yours. Really fun cars. bcam and trick flow springs really wake them up. I definitely agree with single plain intake. Midrange torque surges. Also I’m running bbk 1 5/8 long tubes on one of the cars. 2 cylinders needed 90 degree boots
Welcome to the Channel. There's a REALLY big following on RUclips for Budget Builds, especially Foxes. I can afford to build anything I want, but I just love the low-buck/factory parts approach. Couldn't give a rip about 3sec Pro Mods.
Hey Austin I like how your Mustang idles I had an 85 stang with a Comp Cam .512 lift 270 duration camshaft it had a similar rumpity rump to it's idle Can you clue me in as to those specs and what was done to the.cylinder heads Inquiring minds want to know ?
Welcome to RUclips. My channel is based on my 90Lx ive dubbed as The Poverty Fox. Super budget.. I look forward to future content. What cam is in the car?
Question I have a chance to get mountaineer engine from a salvage, and I already have 5.0 that was given to me that I have tore down to the short block.the walls look good in the cylinder. I was thinking about just buying an overhaul kit instead of getting the salvage yard motor that has 80,0000.00 miles.i want to make a budget race car as yours.would recommend me overhauling what I already have or buying the salvage motor.
if your 5.0 has roller lifters and forged pistons, and an overhaul kit costs about the same as the salvage engine, rebuild what you have and put on the GT40P heads.
keep up the good work
Perfect 👍
I have a 16 yr old son and we're building a 68' stang, and a 95'. Great video, 👍 peace.

Love it. Old school back in the day stuff.

I would absolutely get it if it’s a good deal! And just freshen it up with some new bearings and you should have you a good motor!
