There is a simple strategy that I'm using to do this with only one lv20 charizard. You need 2 x charmeleon + 1 charizard with only fire moves. You gonna use charmeleons to charge the dynamax bar, when it's almost ready to go, switch to charizard, use max moves, go back small, switch back to charmeleon and get some extra charge with anything it has left, go back to charizard and finish the job.
You can do this with other pokemon as well, dubwool, greeedent and even blastoise can be good tanks without any power ups. You can even tm dark/ground fast move for all 3 of these if you wanna be safe as they'll have super effective max moves. Also the switch can be delayed a bit, I've managed to do it at the very beginning of the dynamax animation.
A good point is that you can switch Pokémon as many times and as frequently as you’d like. I’m able to solo these with a decent Charizard and a decent Dubwool and a 3rd crap Pokémon to drop after. Alternate between the Charizard and Dubwool to fill the meter but always make sure to have Charizard in there for the Dynamax Attacks right before the meter fills.
I got a 15-14-15 charmander so evolved it, powered it up to level 40 and maxed out the max flare attack. Gave it blast burn too as this will be my mega. Been soloing beldum with just that 1 charizard.
I have the exact same one I powered it up to 2600 and I solo the Beldum pretty easily there was once I stopped paying attention and had to swap to another mon then once the meter was close swapped my charzard back in and still won
My gameplan on D-Max for now has been to get good Kanto Starters and a good Beldum and wait for December Community Day where the majority of the said Pokemon will get their Comm Day Moves when you evolve them. (Metagross for SURE this year. Charizard and Blastoise maybe coming back from last year seeing as that’s how Niantic kinda did that for last year’s December Comm Day. Venusaur, I just had to suck up and give it an Elite Charged TM for its Legacy Move.)
I took it out after 3 attempts using 2 dynamax charizards with fire spin/ blast burn and a chubnuky with bite crunch. When your pokemon is low, and your meter is full, switch to another mon. When the meter is full again, switch to your lowest hp pokemon, then switch back after dynamaxing. Keep dodging the attacks even if they don't deal as much damage when you dodge. Any low damage is a good thing since your pokemon can take a chunk of damage when you dodge. Keep doing that, and you can solo beldum like me Edit: I got a 2* 10/10/12 beldum from the dynamax raid... but make sure you invest into the dynaxmax moves since I didnt really power up the moves. Took me about 5 mins to complete. That's like soloing 2 5* raids
when beldum first dropped, i was able to beat it with two base-level charizards with max flare level 2, and a blastoise with bite. that worked for the first day or two. then the next day, they got crazy difficult and i couldn't beat any of them. so i upgraded the charizards to level 30 and upgraded their max flares again, we'll see how it goes
I've invested in my 100% Dynamax Bulbasaur which includes evolving, adding an extra move, Elite charge TM and maxing out to lvl 50... I didn't add any max moves to it just yet tho
Living in Jamaica i have about 7 dmax stops nearby but funny enough NO BELDUM ever spawn there lol so I had to travel 1 hour outside of my area to find some and did my first couple today was fun, I invested in 1 charmander but I evolved another. And honestly raiding is easier than I expected yeah you don't really need to power up anything to 50 trust me
Today I got an 100 IV Dynamax Charmander, as I evolve it to Charzard and max the CP to level 40. I needed it in order to battle against Dynamax Beldum.
I am doing a ton of trades for xls, especially for ones i know gigantamax. I lightly powered up the first 3 dynamax (lvl30) they gave us because we got tons of candy that first week. Beldum is a pushover with a super effective max move 3 power . I really hope they let us gigantamax our own pokemon in the future with gmax soup.
Using two decent Charizards one with a powered up attack double fire moves And a Charmander. You can get that Beldum into the yellow before you use your second Charizard. Don't forget dodging helps a lot. I did six Beldum solo no one's in the gym and was able to get a 98% still shining hunting
I haven’t invested nothing but candy and max particles before the Beldum raids spawned to prepare to fight them. I am not paying for anything in coins or stardust for these raids. Niantic is lucky Beldum is one of my favorites or else I wouldn’t touch these. I think it’s wild that people are powering things up to do these (unless RNGesus hands you a hundo).
I mean I think this is smart. Still invest what you get for free, but outside of that, not investing anything is fine as of now. I think with just free things you can be where you need to be when the 5-stars come out.
Eternatus will definitely be released in like tier 5 D max battles. If anything I’d power up anything that can hit it super effective or resist it and level up the max spirit to play a healer role
Everyone pls hold on to you high horses and DO NOT invest any in dynamax right now IT IS NEW addition to the game, Gigantamax form pokemon which is Gmax for short will be only obtainable thru raiding the exact Gmax pokemon, there will be no dynamax-able charmander that can turn to Gmax charizard, we will need to raid Gmax charizard to get Gmax form charizard pls hold on to your valuable resources 🙏
I soloed a beldum in 5 minutes with a 2487 Charizard with fire moves, a 1492 Greedent with dark moves, and a 539 Carmander with fire moves. I don't know if evolving three Charizards uses less resources then just powering up the best one you got, but it sure saved on time.
Just a heads up, you can clear a Beldum dynamax raid solo with two level 30 Charizard with Fire Spin and Fire Blast. This was without any max upgrades.
Is 5 the max number of candy your pet can earn if dropped in a power spot? I find that they earn candy at popular spots (Walmart, Fred Meyers, busy roads like Boniface, Minnesota Drive or Muldoon). RJ Park is a great spot.
I'm not a fan of the d-max system. Not being able to use the pokemon we've spent years catching and building is really annoying. Fortunately I got a hundo d-max beldum which I have now maxed level 50, but I now have 3 level 50 metagross which feels like a waste of star dust
you probably will be able to use the old pokemon eventually. It will cost money (or a decent amount of poke coins) but it probably will enter the game at some point
I somehow improved my charizards moves damage wise but somehow lost my second attempt quicker,. It’s just gonna be another shadow raid type gimmick. Only difference is all your previous good Pokemon you’ve spend years building up is now basically useless with their new update.
I would. I have a feeling the gigantamax raids (when they come out) will only have you use your dynamax pokemon only. I’m doing a couple raids a day (especially beldums) and maxing out their max moves.
I believe you are correct. To me, people who are truly invested in the game (not saying money so even F2P) should try to do as much as possible at least with the free particles each day. G-max pokemon or D-Max exclusive will come out and will be the only way to get those pokemon. Urshifu is one that comes to mind will be a big get down the road.
i do mine with a charizard, venosour , greendet .. no upgrades no level up just base cp after evolving them.. solo in an empty raid where no one left anything.. its ez
I evolved my best charmander and then powered it up to 2500cp. If I find a beldum with 2 or 3 buddy attackers there I can solo with just that one charizard. Don't even need the other mons. I did max out attack and guard not spirit
i had a level 40 charizard 15/15/14 i used to take down beldums. took me about 2 minutes. i wanted to max my charizard to level 50 to make the beldum raids go by quicker. well, it didnt make a difference. it still takes me about 2 minutes to take down a beldum and the damage i do is about the same. i dont see a difference. and yes. ive done a lot of beldum raids at both level 40 and level 50 charizard. like 25 each. ive done well over 50 beldum raids since its release. i do no recommend powering up past level 40. i dont see any difference at all between level 40 and 50 charizard. save the XL candy and stardust.
hey btw you shouldnt use a elite charged tm on beldum yet because since there was a community day classic this year at the christmas one like every year youll be able to get meator mash again😊
I haven't got any good iv dynamax pokemon. I've been tapping the extra charge on the screen like a madman. Then I was trying to swipe it it up. I thought something was wrong with my phone screen. I did not realize I was supposed to swipe over it to get it. I don't like that it the battle is time consuming.
I dont know why I keep doing beldums since I got a 98% IV shiny at my 2nd try, might aswell do the kanto starters so I get a 96% IV+ one, I like this dynamax thing its dynamic
I have 98%-96% beldum they didn’t hit too hard on first 2 hit… and was easy to get… But I have 2 beldum’s I caught today that hits for 3x the damage I got hit with the 96-98%er and had my Charmeleon cooked about 4 and a half iron heads..
The outcome of me investing in this event to try for a shiny beldum would determine if i continue to invest or not into dynamax. So far nearly 40 max battles, 0 shiny.
I've bought wayyy too many MP packs, eitherway so far I've gotten a hundo venusaur and a shiny charizard (2nd dynamax battle ever I did) and a shiny dynamax metagross today
Mp system is very bad i think because 1 tier 250 3 tier 400 5 tier probably 700 to 800 Daily limit is 800 to 1000 And you have to power up pokemon moves for high tier dynamax battle so its definitely worse than raid battles Hope it get better or some changes
The lack of decent rewards don't justify the difficulty and effort it takes, and you really can't farm Dynamax after you defeat a boss. Oh yea, greedent can put a dent on Beldum. I refuse to rebuild 2 or 3 beldums or Blastoise because Niantic can't bother to implement dynamax and gigantamax on the Pokémon we have. It's already a nightmare getting any water Pokémon in my area.
Gmax Pokémon are going to be exactly the same as Dmax Pokémon, I can almost guarantee it because in the main series, a single Pokémon can be either one or the other but they can’t be both. Bet on it.
from what i see, it's just another free way to get 3 star mons. raids are easy at least so I can go for 1 or 2 poke's of each type to max out their dynamax moves. i really enjoy that their dynamax move is using their fast moves typing
Lol i just learned about the swiping over it earlier today. I heard about it in the facebook groups. But my dumbass was trying to actually swipe the energy 😂

I’m not super hyped about these new raids. Gmax was always a knockoff mega evolution to me. At least give us some pokecoins or incubators for defending them or something.
yeah fire not beating steel makes dynamax raids not worth the hassle on this one for me. i'll just skip out on any and all future dynamax raids from here on out. if this is what the 3 stars look like then i def dont want to be part of this dynamax shit. a single charizard should be able to kill a beldum regardless of star rating. but leave it to niantic to fuck everything up once again. its just honestly not worth the time or effort to do these for me. i would rather stop playing all together than to allow a beldum to beat a charizard.
It’s funny all these pro players struggling with beldum I’ve been soloing him since first day available with 1 charazard literally even at half health *he is level 40 with maxed attack
I've been doing 1-2 dynamax raids every day but that's it. I haven't been investing anything in them because I just don't see the value right now.
Id invest in something. Theyres most likely going to be dynamax exclusive pokemon, so look into G-Max pokemon and invest in their counters
I just got a hundo beldum so im definetly investing that for Max Battles
Ive been the same way. Especially when it takes 100 candy per power up.
Jealous 😢@@gamercon97

Not hard if you evolve to Charizard with all fire attacks. I can do them with 2 Zards and Charmander to leave behind with no helpers in the battle.

This how indo it. 2 charizards, base level (dont neee to power up) and have 2 fire moves. Over heat works just fine.
