dan was secretly tapping into the satsui no hado in its purest form since he was never trained and is just learning it himself.

Well, if you believe the Udon comics. He briefly tapped into the satsuino but tripped over a backpack
He was technically obsessed with revenge killing Sagat, so the seeds were kinda there.
"Gouken stopped training Dan once he acknowledged the ulterior reasons Dan has in his mind." He was going for the satsui no hadou naturally, because he wanted revenge on sagat.
Only the strongest characters can throw 1 handed fireballs.
And Dan is the one true King of the hado!

These animations may have similar poses, but they aren't copied. They're totally different animations.
You can pause the video on certain poses and clearly see arms, knees, legs, etc. in different positions.
One thing SF5 is very consistent about is not reusing animation keyframes from SF4.

That's pretty clear already. No one is claiming that the animations have literally been copy-pasted from SF4.

@@Emezie they aren’t saying it’s a total copy, just that Kage’s aura and move set are pretty similar to Dan which makes him a weak character in contrast to ex sf4 evil ryu who was probably considered the best top2 with Oni. People were expecting him as some alternative to Akuma and what they get is an “Evil Daned” Ryu.

Well, SFV is a joke so…
I mean, Kage uses the same fighting style that Dan attempts to replicate. Naturally, they are going to look similar. Ryu, Gouken, Oni, Kage, E.Ryu, Sakura and Ken all look very similar in the way that they fight. This isn’t exactly some kind of groundbreaking revelation.
The thing here is that we are comparing the living embodiment of the Satsui no Hado with Dan, the fact that they have so many similarities is funny

It's proven false now that Dan is IN Street fighter 5.
The theory isn't that Kage was made to replace Dan, it's that Kage and Dan share a moveset, which they very much do.
