This was fun, watched both yours and your wife's videos. We just left Scalea after a 3 week stay and miss it already... back in California now. The blue sea, the pizza, the fruit, the slow pace. The prices! Breakfast at bars is one of my favorite things. You just don't get thoes fresh pasteries here. The coffee is a whole other level too.
How fun watching you guys you make me not only miss Italy but Scalea. I loved the food there. winter is quiet and fun. Gina in Upstate New York USA moving to Italy and portugal. I absolutely loved Volare that sicilian restaurant. I ate there 3 times oh my the food was amazing
@@RStellaMeola Yes I am aware of that. Again, I was under the impression that coperto would be charged for eating in; at that particular restaurant. I didn't know that it would be waved for small amounts of food and or drink.

We always get charged coperto for dining in at Vularie.... Also we've been charged 3 Euro at some places in Scalea...

@vincent4810 he didn't get charged "coperto" at Vularie Siciliani maybe because it was just an arancini and beer. He did pay "coperto" for his dinner

@@OurUnspoiledItaly I'd say time of day or just being nice. We just left Scalea and we ate dinner there twice( this trip ) and got charged coperto.
