There is definitely something spectacular about a good looking building. But what if the decisions behind that look help the building with issues of durability and water management? Follow along with Steve as he walks you thru some of those very decisions and the solutions he and the rest of the team developed. He will discuss some of his rules of thumb he uses to develop his designs. He will walk you thru on how to limit the challenges buildings will endure throughout their life and pose some of his typical solutions. All this…..and BEAUTY TOO!! Enjoy the video.

Hell yeah to the 3’ overhangs. Steve is a god among architects, a group used to designs for only 40 years instead of 200

    Steve,
Beautiful project and I love the overhangs. I normally like the overhangs for solar but you have me seeing the beauty for looks and my water control layer. I wish I knew of your 4x plus when I designed this house. One eastern window on my house i really messed up that one :-)
I would love to have a Big Red discussion on the details to make larger overhangs stronger coastal and hurricane type winds.
    Cheers,
    Eric
