- Finally after almost 2 years of designing and building , I am revealing our completed Pool House @HappyHauteHome. I designed the space myself. The pool house has two attached pergolas, one on each side. The design of the pool house is very symmetrical. The columns of the pool house are brick and it has a brick gas fireplace.The pool house also has a full bathroom with shower and changing room with washer and dryer. In addition, an outdoor kitchen with ice maker, 48" gas grill, 4 refrigerators, built in trash and recycling and sink along with custom cabinetry are key features to our space. Beautiful and relaxing space. Weeds poke up through weed cloth regardless of bark, mulch or rock. Removing weeds is a full time job……but I refuse to give in 😉
You are so right Shelley. Even when we use pre emergent, they still pop up. Some areas of the country are worse than others and our particular area is bad. I refuse to give in too!

It's amazing how your pool/spa/pool house, complete with TV and fireplace, and grill all line up in the backyard.
I was envisioning the same layout just this week, even down to the shape of the pool and orientation of the steps.
My only wonderment is how all that pool house stuff will hold up in inclement weather. I'm in Southern AZ, and the monsoon storms are absolutely fierce.

HI Eric, while we don't have monsoons, we do get very harsh weather and our temps range from -10 to 100. The pool house is holding up very well, but you may want to cover the kitchen area if you are concerned about crazy weather. We bring the furniture inside during the winter but things left uncovered do take a beating. Thanks for visiting.

Very minimal and tasteful… Love everything… Lol @11:27. I 100% concur. For the sake of aesthetic, some sacrifices are crucial when it comes to decorating… The chandelier tied in beautifully with the tv on the wall and the fireplace, lending to an even more cozy and relaxing space. Also perfect call going with White oak for the fireplace mantle, as opposed to the pine…
Did I mention in the video that was the second mantel we put up, the first one did not look good at all. Yes sacrifices, the second was quite expensive as compared to the first. Many builders will advise against an outdoor chandy due to wind, but it has not been a problem with our design. Thank you for visiting.

What material did you use on your cabinets? I love the look but felt like wood wouldn't work getting wet, in the elements. Yours are exposed.
Yes our cabinets are outside grade, real wood would not work
Will the Hydrangus cause the seating area to be full of bees?
Not at all. I haven't noticed bee activity at all around the patio. Not all hydrangea varieties attract bees. Limelight hydrangea flowers are sterile which is of no use to bees so if they do land, they usually move onto another flower such as endless summer hydrangeas which have bright colors and are attractive to pollinators.

Hi, the finish is Riverrok in a medium blue color

Hi, The pavers are 3 different sizes, 24x36, 12x12 and 24x24. The color is beige, cream and gray.
