The inconvenience of worrying about rent. The inconvenience of being chained to some job you don't like, but can't leave on a whim because you need the money. The inconvenience of going shopping and thinking 'Can I afford xyz or should I look for a cheaper/second hand alternative?'. The inconvenience of when your car breaks, your roof leaks or your heater dies, and you can't afford to have it fixed immediately. 'Poor' people have to live frugally and be smart with how they spend money. If you have more money than you can reasonably spend in the rest of your lifetime, you can quit thinking about all these little inconveniences. Instead, you just take the easier (and more expensive) option to resolve your inconveniences.

I could never understand why someone could possibly be rich and miserable at the same time. On top of having the power to help people, they have the freedom to travel wherever they so much desire, obtain limitless amount of knowledge to actually be put to us. They have the freedom to pursue a life of creativity with little to no worries of their electricity suddenly being shutdown or their methods of safety and transportation being taken away. Their life is full of excitement, thrill, adventure, freedom. I do not see what is so miserable about touching grass overseas, it's not like they've lived in isolation for decades at a time. Wealth comes from within. The only thing excess wealth on the outside does is make you realize how empty and hollow it is. If you have all material and women you want, nothing feels special any more and you lose purpose. When you're challenged in life and have limits you have to make sacrifices which naturally breed a purpose. This creates satisfaction and in the end joy. But when there is no challenge and only rewards there's a lack of meaning in life. Take dopamine detox. When you fast and only drink water for 3 days, on the 4th day plain white rice will taste like a meal from a michelin star restaurant. In that moment you will feel "rich" as your senses will explode in pleasure. But if you eat the best food in the world everyday, it loses its value and you instantly take it for granted. This type of behavior is the exact opposite of rich. It's a "broke" mindset. It's all in perspective.

I'm having a bad year; SBUX is down by $26k, HD is down by $35k, Draft Kings is down by $6k, NIO is down by $15K and ABML is down by $8K. I don’t ask for much, all I want is to eat better foods, and enjoy more outings with my friends and family, which almost always comes at a significant enough cost. These additional things are out of reach for me, I just can’t afford the little extras that make life feel more enjoyable/meaningful. I don’t need or want an extravagant life by any means, I live simple, budget my money carefully and don’t create unnecessary debt for myself. I think whether money and success will make you happy depends a lot on how your life experiences have shaped your perspective. If you're lucky and were surrounded by wealthy people, had connections, things seemed to fall into place, and money came easily, then it probably won't make you happy. But if you weren't lucky and had no successful people in your life, had no connections, struggled to make money, and ultimately experienced nothing but failure, then money will absolutely make you happy. He pretty much proves it when he casually says @7:40 "Start working for a large company." As if we're all lucky enough to be able to get hired by a large company. If you get hired by a large company for a corporate position, you are lucky. Simple as that. The most basic, bottom tier, easy step for a lucky person is something that an unlucky person can't even realistically imagine.
Not rich, but I retired from writing software at 42 with enough to never worry about bills again and able to buy some toys like a motorcycle and jet ski. I've been living a cafe free life for the last 4 years and I've never been happier in my life. Every day I sleep in, maybe I'll work on some projects around the house or go play with my toys. After stressful 20 years of working in office, being able to not work feels like heaven. I can imagine what it's like to have enough to buy much nicer toys and travel. While I would love to do that, it's a absolutely not needed. Get to a place where you can retire way earlier and I promise the doors to happiness will open right the hell up.
I feel like people aspire to be rich because it’s sounds real, compared to being satisfied with life, being rich is something that you can sort of grasp at, you have the money you own to look at
I guess its to do with attachment, sometimes people feel like a relationship will save them and they cant live without, only for them to realise it wasn’t what they thought. In the end the richest people don’t form strong attachments to money, rather the process of making it is something thats self regulatory.

Money can't buy happiness, love, friendship, respect or loyalty. The only thing money can buy is (physical) comfort. The most accurate way I've found to articulate this is that money can take away inconvenience. If you try to use money for something else, it will come back to bite you in the ass.
The inconvenience of worrying about rent. The inconvenience of being chained to some job you don't like, but can't leave on a whim because you need the money. The inconvenience of going shopping and thinking 'Can I afford xyz or should I look for a cheaper/second hand alternative?'. The inconvenience of when your car breaks, your roof leaks or your heater dies, and you can't afford to have it fixed immediately.
'Poor' people have to live frugally and be smart with how they spend money. If you have more money than you can reasonably spend in the rest of your lifetime, you can quit thinking about all these little inconveniences. Instead, you just take the easier (and more expensive) option to resolve your inconveniences.

I will say this Save , Invest and Be Frugal. It’s not important when you start but what you achieve in the end that counts!! I’ve been investing for long and will say comfortably that it is the best decision I’ve ever made.
The platform (RUclips) has been a great help, but I don't think it's enough, since most people don't easily understand what they watch, but they learn quickly when they have someone to guide them. And the idea of hiring a professional has been a great experience for me as it has helped shape my finances over the years, thanks to this my retirement has been great!! Wealth comes from within. The only thing excess wealth on the outside does is make you realize how empty and hollow it is. If you have all material and women you want, nothing feels special any more and you lose purpose. When you're challenged in life and have limits you have to make sacrifices which naturally breed a purpose. This creates satisfaction and in the end joy. But when there is no challenge and only rewards there's a lack of meaning in life. Take dopamine detox. When you fast and only drink water for 3 days, on the 4th day plain white rice will taste like a meal from a michelin star restaurant. In that moment you will feel "rich" as your senses will explode in pleasure. But if you eat the best food in the world everyday, it loses its value and you instantly take it for granted. This type of behavior is the exact opposite of rich. It's a "broke" mindset. It's all in perspective.

It is really good that you do. I know a lot of people who have made a lot from the stock market. But you need to spend a lot of time studying the market if you want to be a pro, or you use a stock advisor who really knows what they are doing.
For real, people underestimate how much they can rake in from the stock market. Started with $120k just before the pandemic hit. Many people's portfolios tanked, but I rode through with my financial advisor, and even made more than $86k within just five months of starting, and it's been an awesome ride since then.

@@SuperPenguin5495 I should’ve worded it better I sound homeless and broke💀 I have a solid career but I just don’t make enough to eat steaks/chicken meals every meal. Or atleast feels like I can’t. Maybe I can, but than I wouldn’t have as much for retirement, house savings, emergency etc. I kinda prioritize saving over eating healthy. I’m not fat so it’s not like the shitty food I eat does anything, I’m actually underweight, but my anxiety tweaks more about money than it does eating.

I hear ya. I too make a living that generates enough for me to get all my bills paid and mortgage covered. But it’s only enough to cover the very basic necessities.
I don’t ask for much, all I want is to eat better foods, and enjoy more outings with my friends and family, which almost always comes at a significant enough cost. These additional things are out of reach for me, I just can’t afford the little extras that make life feel more enjoyable/meaningful.
I don’t need or want an extravagant life by any means, I live simple, budget my money carefully and don’t create unnecessary debt for myself.
And yet I still can’t keep up with what I would consider the simple pleasures in life. Frustrating.

I think whether money and success will make you happy depends a lot on how your life experiences have shaped your perspective.
If you're lucky and were surrounded by wealthy people, had connections, things seemed to fall into place, and money came easily, then it probably won't make you happy.
But if you weren't lucky and had no successful people in your life, had no connections, struggled to make money, and ultimately experienced nothing but failure, then money will absolutely make you happy.
He pretty much proves it when he casually says @7:40 "Start working for a large company." As if we're all lucky enough to be able to get hired by a large company. If you get hired by a large company for a corporate position, you are lucky. Simple as that.

Not rich, but I retired from writing software at 42 with enough to never worry about bills again and able to buy some toys like a motorcycle and jet ski. I've been living a cafe free life for the last 4 years and I've never been happier in my life. Every day I sleep in, maybe I'll work on some projects around the house or go play with my toys. After stressful 20 years of working in office, being able to not work feels like heaven. I can imagine what it's like to have enough to buy much nicer toys and travel. While I would love to do that, it's a absolutely not needed. Get to a place where you can retire way earlier and I promise the doors to happiness will open right the hell up.

I feel like people aspire to be rich because it’s sounds real, compared to being satisfied with life, being rich is something that you can sort of grasp at, you have the money you own to look at
I guess its to do with attachment, sometimes people feel like a relationship will save them and they cant live without, only for them to realise it wasn’t what they thought. In the end the richest people don’t form strong attachments to money, rather the process of making it is something thats self regulatory.

This was nice to hear it let me kinda chill out. my product is getting developed and has a laundry list of issues, investors have been asking for a sample since last week. Banging my head on a brick wall is starting to look like a decent alternative.
I want to be rich because I don't want to be trapped by poverty. My family is pretty broke always have been I've seen how it affects them and I refuse to be like them. I want the freedom to do what I want and money is a tool I can use to get that freedom
