Well both modes look amazing... But the transformation was a bit difficult. This was actually the first time I ran into an issue while transforming any of my MP figures. The issue was those hips pieces that have to be rotated downward for vehicle mode. You mentioned they were tight, unfortunately one of mine was far too tight. Whoever assembled mine tightened one screw so tight he stripped the head. So it was frozen in place and unable to be unscrewed. Luckily there was a secondary small screw that attached the hinge to the body, so I removed that. Now I just need to reach out to FT for a replacement part. He's in vehicle mode and he looks amazing but that piece is missing which is a bummer.

Xtransbot Motormaster is bigger than mp 10 and if i remember correctly FT Motormaster was too but for some reason when both are standing next to the limb bots both FT and Xtransbot limb bots look the same size even though FT are taller than Xtransbot. Hey Ben what do you think of Xtransbot not putting the trailer and the combiners part with their Motormaster is just the truck a great looking figure by the way

the stunticons are about shoulder height with megatron in the cartoon (with motormaster being bigger), so FT have the correct bot mode size imo. its up to personal opinion on what you want in your collection ofc, but i think for cartoon accuracy FT can't be beaten.

Totally agree with your scale comments Ben. I don't have any masterpiece scale autobot cars because their too small in bit mode. The cons just tower over them and they look rediculous. Was holding out for some more oversized bots from the likes of wj (mpp10 still one of my favourite figures) but here's hoping this larger scale of carbots takes off for autobots too, because I would definitely then be all in....

Yes, FansToys are currently producing full combiners of both Menasor and Superion, however, despite both Motormaster and Silverbolt being their first releases for each team, the current word is that all the parts necessary to combine them into their full gestault modes will be released later down the line.

I agree Takara’s car bots are too small, but I also feel the Fanstoys car bots are too big. Besides, does anyone really want to re-buy all of their car bots?
Also, why did Fanstoys go with a pearlescent blue against the “cartoon” off-white? If people are wanting a cartoon esthetic, why not use toon paint all around?
