    Need guidance, Jim. What's your tip on creating 1 business name by registering it legally but have several brand names underneath it, if you want to create several businesses in different platforms that cater to different audiences or demographics. For example, One business name that sells digital products but sell certain digital products on Etsy and sell print on demand on another platform in the future.

    • @aguythatsrandom
      @aguythatsrandom Год назад

      I'm going through this right now! Three years into my business and now I see I want to be more than what I originally started out with, but what I want to expand to wouldn't relate to the company that I already have. So now I've been brainstorming Parent Company/Holding Company names for literally 2-3 days now (think I'm coming to an end before consulting a lawyer).
      I didn't realize I would want to expand into other avenues 3 years ago, so I can't really say that's my fault. But just having that one name is very limiting for me.
      A tip I would give you is create that parent company name now! Then underneath do this for example:
      Parent Company Name: Ron
      Daughter Company 1: Ron Digital
      Daughter Company 2: Ron Prints
      Daughter Company 3: etc etc
      This is literally what Google has when you search them on wikipedia. You'll see all their companies and for majority of it that used google, then just put the name they are dabbling in afterwards. For example, Google Domain, Google Workspace, Google Fiber. You can also do DBA's as well for each separate one to keep the names separate

    You seriously couldnt figure out why he came up with the name AMAZON? ummmm ok the biggest rainforest in the entire world, the biggest selection of books in the world? and what about half fanciful and then at the same time adding on to the name and letting them know what its about. In my experiences Ive never had a issue with a name in a legal standpoint, maybe i got lucky
