The interviewer is REALLY good, amazing how she got so much information out of Alanis, also she was very prepared for this talk. We don't see that quality of interview today. I'm impressed.
I have heard of but don't know Alanis before 1995 being from the UK but watching this is surreal. She looks so young here. In this video she reminds me of Elizabeth Shue from around the same time.
I can't believe how much her voice changed! This sounds like an entirely different person. It's just insane!? She sounds great here. Almost like she had some kind of a voice stroke? Even though I love her new music past this point, her voice is completely different!
Completely changed her image. She had different people working with her for Jagged Little Pill. I remember her at this time in 92 and when she reappeared in 95, I wasn't too impressed. Not impressed with crass lyrics. Maybe it was for the guys, I don't know.
@@deborahalfonso270 I get what you’re saying I’m a guy who likes Alanis’s first 2 albums over her supposed popular albums I like alternative rock music but it’s only my 3rd favorite genre
This is just too real! lol... Her "psychic prediction of the day" is that she would meet somebody performing at the hockey games... Um... enter Dave Coulier. And also a little ditty called "You Oughta Know."
Here: Let's forget about "You Can't Do That on Television". After Jagged Little Pill: "Bury EVERYTHING!" I say, don't bite the hand that feeds Alanis and her handlers.
I like her 90s pop stuff too but we can’t make her go back to pop music As long as her forgotten pop songs are readily available on the internet then I’m ok
Change *is* never a waste of time. 3 years later....she changed the game completely.
Maturity & wisdom beyond her years.

The host did such a great job and stayed positive and respectful throughout the interview
I don't remember her looking so lovely. Talented, very.
Boy, a lot changed between this and 1995. I would not have known this was her.
Well...she made a guy who pissed her off then the rest is history.

great to watch this, i miss the 90's
Change is never a waste of time Nice ❤️song😇
This is anazing- yup, she kept changing and growing
Man, she was really really pretty.
Correction: IS
Still is
I love the interview and the possible positive message Influence that this sends of other people👏😇
She’s so infectiously positive, wow!
love to see the younger alanis, beautiful!
Great interview love this.
Her speaking voice was a bit nasal when she was 16. She's sweet, smart and talented.
18**
Good performance to send to other people and that song Change😇its never too late
People can change
Alanis is a revolutionary
The voice and lyrics words❤️
Love this so much!
The music track❤️
The is a good message to send to other people 😇👍
Wow, from elevator music to the cutting edge. What a transformation.
honestly this entire album is fantastic. not "elevator" music at all.
It so sad that I can easily sing her first 2 albums but whenever I try to sing jagged little pill and onwards I always struggle lol

Empathy and Understanding👏🙏👍
the same person, her essence it´s the same
Big difference between here and her first album “Jagged little pill “!
JLP was her third record.
@@bladerunner1b and her best!

She's always had that aura
BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!
her little voice. she’s a baby.
This is just too real! lol... Her "psychic prediction of the day" is that she would meet somebody performing at the hockey games... Um... enter Dave Coulier. And also a little ditty called "You Oughta Know."
That's a rumor - it actually isn't about Dave Coulier, but okay.
Reminds me of Elizabeth shue
It is kind of sad too
She should always wear her hair styled in a fringe (bangs).
Did she ever make a music video for the single she performs here: “Change Is Never A Waste Of Time”?
Unfortunately, no. Off this album, only An Emotion Away and No Apologies were given videos.
@@yourfairykingand also real world that got her fired

I say, don't bite the hand that feeds Alanis and her handlers.
And her head grew two sizes that day.
She would wind up working with one of Michael Jackson’s producers which is cool and prescient
It sounded like the crowd was booing her when she was singing the National Anthem
Why did she stop wearing makeup? 😁
so go g to a little backing so awkward lol
How old was she ? And the interviewer is joking about men ogling her ?
She was 18. Relax
A shame she didnt stay with this style instead of the hateful tones we were brutally subjected to in the 90s.
If you didn't like what she was doing in the 90s, but still like her voice and such, you should check out her work in 2008, 2012 and 2020.
SO CALLED CHAOS, UNDER RUG SWEPT and HAVOC AND BRIGHT LIGHTS are the perfect albums for you then

Hateful? It was honesty. And what could be interpreted as hateful in 'head over feet' or 'heart of the house', for example? ❤️
@@eleanor4759 'you oughtta know' was honestly hateful.
My ears are bleeding... very bad
