  • Dawn Morse of Core Elements Training demonstrates foundation Petrissage Massage Techniques to the back of the leg.
These techniques are excellent for reducing muscular tension to the leg and they act as an introductory movements within a wider massage treatment. A key feature of all petrissage techniques is the transverse stretch, which is great for reducing tension and increasing mobility within the muscle tissue.
These are examples of the techniques covered in Core Elements accredited, Level 3 Sports Massage Certificate course, which is available as a face to face, and bended learning course, at our training center in Swindon, Wiltshire (UK).
Core Elements Training delivers a range of accredited Sports Massage and Sports Therapy based qualifications and short courses.
To find out about Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5 accredited Sports Massage and Clinical Therapy qualifications and CPD short courses in modalities such as #Manual #Therapy and #Joint #Mobilisations and #Dry #Cupping #Therapy and #Kinesiology #Taping please visit:

Thank you for this information, it's helpful also in the aspect of being more communicative with clients. These massage terms has always got me & schooling has been a bit difficult because of that. So these shorter videos has done wonders for my attention span to really soak in these techniques to sound more professional to clients.
