Me and my husband went there in Aug 2021..it was awesome..I got chills, and shirt tugged and at the end I heard a child who I know was following us through the tour..got awesome pics also..I'd love to go back at night
Beautiful location in a beautiful state, I lived in here for 2 years and wish I could go back everyday. I actually visited this town randomly one day and stumbled upon Trans-Alghenny, the asylum was unbeknownst to me until I did research and now seeing how popular it actually is, is truly amazing. It is MUCH bigger than you could imagine, quite beautiful. My fiance and I drove around the whole property in disbelief, had we known the origins behind it at the time we would've been even more amazed.
Taylor Phillips no way?! That’s so awesome! I hope to go again as well! We had such a great night. I want to bring along some of my friends who are afraid hahah! They’d make it so funny 😂👍🏻
What app are you using? Is it free and does it work? I just asking because I am going in Aug. with my mom. I want to tell the ghost there I had a learning disability when I was young and my parents could have shipped me off to that place like alot of family members did to there kin for stupid reasons. I was born in 1977.
i live very close to here and yes it’s very haunted and back in the early 1900’s men could just drop off there wife and have her put there for just having her period or a headache. it was very insane and i recommend not to go there alone.
My great grandmother gave birth to my great uncle there but she was moved after it shut down she died a when I was 2 or 3 and I'm now 14 but the weird thing is she died in my mom's arms when she was giving great grandma a bath
Arctic_fox 87 it’s pretty dark in most places so I definitely recommend bringing a flashlight and a backup (we used headlights). But some places are lit more. We had a full moon so it was a bit more light than usual
I had no idea that people had beds in the hallway and 2 people per twin size bed. 😣 I keep thinking since there was so many patients that some of them would be able to escape the torture. I dont know how the doctors knew where everyone was. When the building was so over crowded. They forgot about people wouldn't they be able to get away from the doctors when ever they were close. I keep thinking they could of sneaked food to try to survive. 😫😖😭
I love that place I did the 4 floor tour a had a door open on the very top floor no one else saw it because I was in the back my friend my take me to the paranormal tour with her I hope she does o love it there I also been the the moundsville penitentiary I want to do the paranormal tour there one day
I'm just watching Mrs Soffel starring Mel Gibson and the first part of the film has them as inmates here awaiting their death sentences. As soon as I saw the arched windows I recognised it from many investigations I've seen such as Ghost Adventures.
In 1878 there was a story of a mentally unstabled guy who jumped down the stair well and survived 4 flights of stairs And broke his hip, arms, back, chest, Later on in 1934 he was murderd in the aylum by the workers EDIT: i was here for vacation
He resided in the attic (top floor) on the far left of the building (if you’re standing outside facing its front). He has a setup in his room’s closet that is his “comfort zone” and he loves to play tricks on people, booze, gamble and smoke. If you move his chair, he apparently gets very angry and acts out. We didn’t test it - didn’t want an angry spirit after me. Haha

Cool. Great job ladies..
The ball in Ashlyn’s room is a cat toy. There is paw prints and fish on the ball.
And she said CAT! Spooky😋
Taylor Phillips that’s what I thought! Glad I’m not the only one! So weird 👻😛🤙🏻
Mindy Rose Michaels My cat has the same ball😂 I was like, that looks so familiar! Love the insane asylum, we stay over night every year!!

I went there for a tour...it was definitely cool I wasn't that scared by it but I went there during the day
Now were you guys alone in the building until 5 am or were there other groups there with you all night?
When she said find her, maybe she meant lily? Cause there is a little girl called Lily who stayed there
Which App is she using on her phone - it’s like a ghost finder, and they can communicate through the App to her with words
Is it, like really dark in there at night? Because I’m about to do the overnight tour, and I’m kinda freaked out.

Elizabeth Hair that’s so cool!! And yes, it’s definitely been featured on ghost adventures before ☺️👍🏻
yeah... i probably shouldn't be watching this at 3:30AM
TheBigonner 😂 right?! I couldn’t edit it alone at night lol
I work the haunted house there! My first year was 2019, so if you went through that, I might have spooked ya!
I live just up the street from it!
Going next October. Haven’t done one since I went to a former satanic church. That messed me up. No I didn’t record it but I did have scratches.
My mom said she might take my best friend and I here in May or June, I'm so excited!!
your name is very concerning
@@loviebunny Yeah, but I went there lol

Which spirit is Jimmy James? Haven’t heard of him

Mindy Rose Michaels Ooh, so it’s definitely not the same spirit as Big Jim??
Zach asked if it is a malevolent Spirit to grab your hand.
