Bob the drag queen was a complete annoyance. And, I have to agree with you: didn’t like the Madame X album or the concert. I thought her costumes on this were just awkward and bulky looking. The show just seemed sloppy. Could have done without the Tolkisha and Beyoncé garbage . If it is that age is catching up with her, it’s understandable. But, I’d rather see her go out and a high note like Tina Turner than a whimper where we all say “she can’t do it like she used t
The reason she can’t do it like she used to it because of all of the filler she’s had injected into her body. I also suspect she’s on some sort of substance now, but it’s not age. Tina Turner was very energetic at that age that do you really think you can inject all of that for material into your body and not have it hurt? That’s why she had all of the problems with the last tour. She always had the body of an athlete and if she still kept on top of her fitness she still would it’s the plastic surgery no one wants to talk about that or maybe no one realizes that but I do and that is the problem and I think it’s very sad because she has disfigured her self. She basically ruined herself in an attempt to look young. I think she would’ve been much better off with a few wrinkles because if you’re reading this Madonna, it’s OK to exit not losing your value just because you’re older you don’t have to compete with the young bitches honey you’re a legend and honestly I don’t give a fuck what she looks like I think it’s very bizarre for a 60 something year old woman to look like she’s in her 20s. They do seem to have toned down some of the plastic surgery on her face, though. She doesn’t look quite as much like Madame the puppet as she was for a while.
Second show, she was late! It's Madonna! 😅 The show ended with Rain. The curfew on Sunday is at 10.30 and they let her performing until 11pm! She had to cut the last part of the show.
I think she would do different songs/tracklist in different countries. If I was her I'd tailor the concert to the big hits in the different countries. For example, she's had 63 uk top ten singles so could get a story arc from them and uk fans would be familiar and happy. Then do the same in the US with her 38 top tens. Then the same in the other countries as the tour travels. Obviously there will be globally recognised hits like Holiday, Prayer etc that will always be played on tours as they're universally known wherever you are in the world. Unfortunately an artist like Madonna won't be able to fit all her hits into a 2 hour show so realistically some songs/fan favourites are going to be left out. But from what I've seen online the concert looks impressive, she looks great and appears to be enjoying herself.
Was there for opening night so just to give a different perspective of the show overall. I’ve been to many a gig over the years but this was the first pop concert I’ve been to. Wouldn’t say I was a die hard Madonna fan but seeing as this was billed as a greatest hits tour me and my girlfriend decided to try for a ticket. Wouldn’t fault the technical aspects of the show everything is impressive from the dancers to the costumes the lights and the fact that Madonna at 65 is still on stage I gotta tip my hat she really is one of the last remaining true legends. However overall this was not the show I was expecting. I was expecting a live band Madonna to be interacting with the crowd and for the crowd themselves to be up dancing. I saw blur earlier this year and was up in the gods but everyone was up and singing along. But opening night it felt subdued in our section most people sat throughout the entire show. The audience for this show going into the arena seemed to be women of a certain age that were dressed as classic 80s Madonna so I would be interested to know what they felt afterwards as there’s a lot of omissions and a few obscure tracks. Of course over a 40 year career there’s always going to be songs left off and yeah the technical issues did stop the moment. Part of me felt like the show was gonna be cancelled at that point. Burning up sounded awful why play that and not one of the her big hits from that era that more people know. I was expecting more of the lines of Elton John at Glastonbury were it was just hit after hit. But this show has way to many interludes (I wonder how long Madonna was on stage for) the MJ stuff I’m not sure about. Here in the UK we’ve just had a Jimmy Savile drama on TV so that segment felt….well I won’t go there, plus again she’s not on stage for this part. And the ending was confusing. again I’ve been to rock gigs were the band play an encore they bow to the audience and thank the audience. But there’s nothing like that, she just goes down the stage and the lights come on. Overall totally underwhelming the atmosphere and vibe of the crowd felt weird but hey I can say I saw a legend live
Hi Steve! I have only had access to print/online reviews for the show here in the States, but they echo many of the things, positive and/or constructive, that you mention. It sounds like she does not have “Borderline” in the set, which would be cool if I were able to attend a show, as it was the first Madonna song I heard and had me hooked way back when! But when you have a catalogue like hers, it’s got to be hard to choose. And to hear that she is performing “Bad Girl” is amazing - one of my favorite Madonna tracks of all. Cheers!
I noticed something the outfit if you see a up close picture has the harness seen in the rehearsal video where she was hanging and spinning. Maybe a error happened in the finale because why would she wear the buckles and straps for nothing
I was fairly near the back but got a great ambience from up high. Sadly the large in house monitors weren’t used and we just relied on Madonna’s stage projection screens which were fairly obscured by the lighting rigs. That said had an amazing time. I was highly satisfied with the song choices and the snippets of songs.. The technical difficulties were only really explained after the filler monologue and people just thought this was part of the show although I heard some fans getting a little restless and wanting more songs. So was pleased that the next song came on pheeew ! But she did ask before burning up if we could hear her ok but it was apparent something wasn’t right by the time she sung the song. No one noticed if she was late in fact I presumed the show started early at 8.45 and many fans were rushing to their seats so obviously i wasn’t alone thinking this! I was at my seat hours early anyway. The bat jacket was made to the original spec so I ordered an xl which fits more like M-L knowing my pioneer jacket is L but more like S in reality ! Where’s the party was there so too Angel intro and also I heard Express yourself intro too at some point toward the end. Overall she sounded great and sounded live throughout she looked great and danced actually more than I was expecting. What a night!! Do you know if there’s a live stream tonight ??

What are you on about- a facelift 10 years ago & injectables wouldn't affect her body at all.
Because of the curfew they have to adjust or shorten the show & it's the 1st night I guess the following weeks they will improve more.
Yes but the Curfew is not a Secret.

She should have cut some of the middle section & kept the end.
I saw her in 2012 impressed whit the stage and show can't imagine see her show again 💔
I'm happy to remember her at her peak.

This is the review she is getting.

I didn't notice Borderline was missing.
The stage is made for halls and not outside arenas like Swift or Beyonce have. The stage is amazing so is the high tech!
It's small & basic. Stop Stanning.
small ?? wtf bro half of the floor is covered by the stage can you stop your hate ? @@stevearts85
Madonna esta muy guapa, alsa que toma y olé.

Little Star would been an amazing opening song also. 🌟🌟🌟
How, it's about Lola. Not us or her. No one cares about Lola.
@stevearts85 😂😂😂😂 no we don't.
She has no apparent talent or any interesting characteristics besides the Womb she was carried in.

No idea- it's a bit Random there are some social media groups asking people to stream to them.
If there was a miraculous Australian leg doubt it but would you go to the show
I don't know. There have been somethings on in another city I didn't go to- nothing locally that I wanted to go to.
I don't like you, always negative remarks about Madonna.. Y do u even react to her.. Just unfollow her.
