Simple demonstration on how to use the pause features in Bambu slicer to be able to insert things into 3d prints, mid print. It's easier than you think.
Good question. In this case, it wasn't an issue. Haven't had to deal with that yet but if I did, I would probably dab a little super glue on the bottom of the magnet. Then let it dry before resuming the print.
I'm about to insert some 100 x 10 x 3 mm magnets, very (very very very) strong. You don't need glue as the bed is magnetic, the magnet will try to stick on it. But I'll buy a stainless steel nozzle so it won't try to catch it.@@justinmcclung
Presumably you are putting zero infill? I think if a box has all 4 sides enclosed like that, and you have any infill, it will not give you the space...
@@justinmcclung I've seen another video on the subject where the person went into the Devices tab and just clicked on the play arrow at the bottom where the line is showing print progress.
No, it works every first time after a reboot, second time makes issues... I am fighting with BambuLab Support for months now as they are unfortunatly not smart enough to check for an issue that does not happen every time but only every second. I provided a video, testfiles, multiple rounds of logs, github issues where others have the same issue, not sure what else to do...
No, I have sent several rounds of logs to bambu, a full video documenting it, print files, links to the github issues and all. But they are unfortunately not able to understand that they need to run it more than 1 time to replicate 🫣😭 Ticket still open, I am still trying
Perfect tutorial. Concise and super well explained
Thanks for watching!
Thank you! Just got my x1c 3 weeks ago. Coming from ender 3 s1 it’s so much easier to pause and resume
Thank you 🙏
Glad I could help. Have fun with your new printer!
Thank you so much, this was very helpful!
Thank you for watching.
How do you make sure the magnet doesn't grab onto the hardened steel nozzle?

It happened to me. Better don't do this.
You forgot to mention that you need to use a support blocker where the magnet will be, or no supports when slicing.
My model didn't need supports so I didn't think to mention that in the slicing. Good point though.
Thanks

No. You design a void where the magnet will go. The rest of the model will be whatever infill you specify.
Thank you for the video.
Any reason to add a slice after the pause? Would pause alone fail?
No a pause should work but you would have to pay very close attention. This method, you don't.
what's about the max amount of time it can be paused for?
That is a good question. I am not sure. I have had my Bambu paused overnight and it still seemed to work out fine.
Anyone else having the issue where it say only pause instead of having a resume button? What firmwares are you running?
I haven't myself. I am running 01.07.02.00 on the X1 Carbon and 00.00.06.40 on my AMS.

were you able to resolve this? I'm having the same issue
