Mods that help you find other characters are so helpful! Wandering all over the map can take so much play time.
I like that these are quality of life mods & not cheaty. These might even be something that the Dev could put in the game in the future. I'll be downloading these tonight to my game.

Nice video!..... I play a lot of Ark and I couldn't live without mods in that game haha. For Dinkum I'm gonna hold off for a while and ride the early access wave to see where we go, I'm loving this game :)
There's a tips for picking up things without using the auto pick up, you can just hold right click right when you like chop trees or break some rocks, it will automatically goes to your inventory the moment it dropped before touching the ground, pretty much auto pick up

Badgers Automated Production is the name of the mod.
About this mod
Automated Production allows you to place full stacks of processable items into machines. The machine will then process these automatically leaving you free to do other tasks

If you use a keyboard and mouse there is an auto pickup built into the game. Just hold the right mouse click and run over the items it picks everything up automatically and if you hold it as you break rocks it puts everything in your inventory automatically
OMG craft from storage is so good... I wish I was using mods, but I'm not. Hopefully the dev will add some of these things eventually.

Anyone know how to get mods to work on the steam deck? I've downloaded all the BepinEx files but when I run the game, I'm not getting the plugins or config folders to generate?!? Any help would be awesome! I really want the peaceful mining mod (gamer anxiety here ;))

Does the auto pick up mod pick everything in the world up, like seashells & logs. I hesitated using that mod because it seems like it would fill your inventory with everything laying on the ground as you run around.
No, it will not. If you click the shell or log, then you would pick it up
Sadly the crafting from storage mod isn't working anymore. Just started playing I would love that mod to work. The others are working great though

A chest mod would be great. You can hold a helicopter and motobike in your pocket but you can't pick up a chest with one feather in it.....
so umm the autopick up mod won't let me plant trees and such throw the item down but before i can bury it it picks it up
So I actually looked at the mod in You can actually disable the auto pick up by pressing f2 so never mind

Hi new player here. I noticed you farming and whenever I farm it seems some of my crops die or disappear while other live. I thought maybe because I walked on them, but I just noticed in this video you trampled all over your crops. Can anyone tell me if you can step on crops and if you can why certain crops that are in season are dying despite being watered while others arent? Any advice would be appreciated.
Birds destroy crops at will if you don't have a scarecrow. They can be crafted with a melon or a pumpkin. It's probably 2 months too late, but others might need that info.
theres a glitch with auto pick up you cant toss stuff to bury it just picks it right back up so id turn that one off if you want to plant trees etc
I wouldn't say a glitch. Working as intended lol. But yeah, it's annoying. Takes a lot of effort to even give other people things 😂
I'm taking that one off.
@@TheKang You can press P (default key) to disable the auto pickup and press P again to enable it back. Useful when you are trying to plant trees and stuffs ;)

i don't understand the auto pick up, its NOT that hard to keep your finger on the right button as you chop trees or mine rocks.
Saw another mod video for Better Vanilla that has a few of these modes already in it just a heads up.
With auto pick up you cant plant trees because if you drop the seed it picks it up again.
You can disable it with the hotkey whenever you need to, the hotkey should be 'p' whenever you're playing

@@peachesg2291 Did they change the auto-pickup hotkey? Haven't played in a while and I remembered it being 'P'
@@DankoGT86 Not sure if they changed it. P didn't work for me. So I looked up and read their info on Nexus about it. It said F2, and it worked! I just went in the game and tried the P again, and it didn't do anything.
What about when we play multiplayer? It's on my char or my world

So I deleted everything and reinstalled and now it works 🤷🏼♀️ maybe try again. Weird

I guess mods aren't officially supported by the developer are they? There's no Steam support either! I wish it were because downloading mods from a third party site can be so sketchy sometimes. That's how it was with Minecraft and the various different mods and mod packs!
I feel ya, but NexusMods is a pretty trusted site when it comes to those things! Been around for awhile!
The game is in Early access the developer stated he wants to support mods but doesn't feel like it should be his focus before the game has reached its release milestone 1.0.0
@@paris7903 Exactly what I was gonna say haha.... people need to just chill. If you read the Steam forums for this game sadly it's mostly whinging n complaining, nobody's actually giving constructive feedback. It's Early Access FFS haha.
Dinkum better vanilla mod has the pick up, tool tip, donation, slow time and a few other all bundled into one. It’s all quality of life.
I've installed "better vanilla" Mod and made some changes in cfg file, time x5, map zooming, stacking bugs, etc.
Then I went to mines and it's been a long daaaaay when I collected 4 or 5 rubies and full inventory of valuable items (I earned 1.5kk)
But the next day I woke up and my map was in "x" Which I used to mark dungeons, and other minor bugs
The mines were empty 🤯 there were some monsters but no rubies
So I think I broke smth and turned the mod in cfg file, but
Many functions still work and idk maybe I should delete these files to get back to normal or id leave it bc I like longer day but I don't like bugs (the journal on esc button doesn't often opens, some lags appear and my laptop noises nm it's old but good)
P. S. The next day I started finding rubies again so I think I'll leave it for now but be careful with it
