What an amazing trip I had with my friend Mike. There is just nothing better than hitting the open road and seeing what can be found along the way. I hope you enjoyed another installment of this ongoing series and I can't wait to bring you much more. Thank you everyone!
This is beautiful and sad at the same time. Your filming helps us feel the wind, smell the earth and summer wild greens. The lonely abandoned churches and homes create visions of former lives of extreme simplicity, hard work, and struggles, along with love, sacrifice, and beauty.
I try to let the sounds and visuals of the places I visit tell a lot of the story so the viewer really gets a feel of being there as much as I can. Thanks!
All of this footage is truly beautiful, in a solemn but also not dark way. The first church on the plain reminds me of Al Purdy's poem, "Wilderness Gothic". Thank you for your creative work and your heart to explore in a genuine, non-sensationalizing way. I really do feel like I can appreciate these places vicariously through your videos. 😊
Absolutely amazing!! Just sad to imagine that after some years to come that many of these places will be flat and gone forever! Marvelous thing you are doing to get out and see and document these fantastic memories for all to see in future generations here on YT!! Marvelous stuff!!
There are already 3 or 4 places I can think of that I have explored over the past few years that are now already gone. Thanks for stopping by. Always appreciate it!
Hi Wade. Thank you for bringing us along and sharing these Great Finds. Stay Safe on your Travels and May you find more buildings so you can tell their stories.
Nice to visit all these old buildings. For their age some are doing ok. without these videos most of us would never see these places from yesterday. thanks for the Explore.
That wood stove in the church shows how well things were made back then AND not only made in Ottawa but the steel/iron was also made in Canada. Pretty few and far between nowadays if anything like that.
That first church is still in pretty good shape considering the number of years it's been unused. The IOOF over the door of the school can also stand for "Independent Order of Foresters" a financial company that sells insurance. That old car is a great find. Thanks for the video, really enjoyed it.
My mother was raised in some pretty desolate places in eastern Montana, USA, just South of the Canadian border. I remember her telling me how much she hated the wind. I never understood this because I was raised in very different terrain. Your explorations have brought home to me what she was talking about. I get it now. Thanks, also, for showing the cemeteries! I can't explain why I appreciate that, but I do. :)
@@ExploringwithWade And I appreciate you spending your time taking me to see things I would never see otherwise. LOL I'm a terrible traveler. Be safe out there!
Also all of these churches in fields are really giving off the Far Cry 5 vibe (which, despite the dark plot, is this lonesome kind of beautiful, with similar music too)
I absolutely love your content. I have watched every single video. If you’re ever in northern BC, I would love to collaborate or meet you and your lovely wife.
@@ExploringwithWade Understood. That sucks, they’re an indie Canadian band that broke up decades go. You should be fine. The reason I mentioned it is because it is a beautiful song that I have loved for years. And video captured that beauty I like anything visual I have ever seen. Thank you for making this video. Took me back 30 years to 1994 when I moved to Saskatoon to go to U of S and the first think I did was drive to the county and find an old, abandoned church is Saskatchewan to enjoy a smoke. Your video brings that imprint to life. Cheers man. Keep on with the videos. You’re doing excellent work. Rueben
I think the Saskatchewan government and corporations really didn't like people living out in those rural areas. The one other problem is every man for himself attitude and that's why you find abandoned homes with everything still in them. Now we have tent cities nearly in every community across Canada.

Oh yea, for sure you don't see things built like that much anymore.
Liked and shared! 🙂

Glad you like them! I will be making more for sure. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing these backroads buildings with us. There is some very interesting and unique architecture out there on the backroads!
Glad you enjoyed it! Take care.
Love your videos as i get to see Saskatchewan. Never hear much about it. Excellent video. Stay safe

Beautiful video
Thank you so much.
Hi there Wade,
I am originally from Sask, so love seeing your videos, which bring many memories of growing up there. Where are you located?
Thanks for watching! I live in Alberta.
beautiful 🤩

Thanks for watching! I hope to do more exploring in BC in the future for sure. Thanks for the support.
So many beautiful churches fallen into disrepair and now abandoned😢
Yes it is unfortunate. I couldn't believe how many there are.
Dude. How could you not play the Rheostatics song ‘A church in Saskatchewan’ for the into. It’s perfect.
I have to pick songs I have the rights for.

It so strange that people up and leave with clothes in the closet ,some of the buildings in saskatechewan are so nice to see
It always makes you wonder what happened and what the story is.

Could you please give me an exect location of this church ?
I’ve been watching too much backrooms content, you can guess how I red that last word and had to wonder wtf is going on.
