Thanks for the laughs ... forever loved ❤ x
Thank you for your wonderful life Barry. Enjoy your well earned rest 👍
Thank you so much for this
Brilliant, sharp, fast, absolutely brilliant.
I always forget Dame Edna is a character of Barry Humphries & get totally absorbed in her life as a woman who’s like an eccentric friend of my Mum..😂
An ABSOLUTE genius. One of those characters you just accepted “real”. Dame Edna lived and breathed and had the best put downs ever. One of a kind representing the kind of humour that wouldn’t be permitted now. Wonderful Edna / Barry thank you for your genius and the tears of pure joy and laughter you caused to be shed. A wicked commentator on celebrity and the banality of fame. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is like a guide on how to do innuendos and double entendres with absolute perfection!!
Beguiling!! Unforgettable! 🤩
Edna was so sharp here she was really honing her skills as a brutal woman who could wipe the floor with any of her peers
9:46 "Trussed-me-up-like-a-blessed-chicken". Unforgettable
RIP Dame Edna😢😢😢
Extraordinary abilities. "Spooky!"
:) Edna - "I have a nuclear disarming honesty" !!! rotfl
Arena does the most interesting interviews.
Was this actually broadcast in 1979?
Redge... Caress my knobs will you dahling!?! Tweak my little knobs!!
I’d love a box of Nivea creme assortment
13:04 priceless! Poor Valmei
There is a Whirlpool commercial (only showed in Australia) of Dame Edna sponsoring Whirlpool. Check it out, it’s hilarious. She checks out Kenny’s room.
I remember very well women like this as a boy. Barry has them down pat.
Is there anyway to see the whole of Edna`s visit to Stratford on Avon?
The BBC probably threw the excess footage in the bin 40 years ago.
@@ppotter Many thanks for your swift reply. The programme was my favourite Edna Everidge show with Ann Hathaway`s cottage etc. I`ll never forget the half-timbered car. I`m so sorry that the BBC probably binned this as it stayed in my memory for so long. I did see Dame Edna live at the Prince of Wales theatre for her Edvard Munch tour. On another level, I share Barry Humphries` love of the music of Kurt Weill. Sky Arts did a wondeful documentary on this.
@@robertcarrington1738 I'm only guessing, of course, re the BBC stuff... I remember that documentary on Weill. He also recorded several shows (a series possibly) for Radio 2 on Weill and that era, which you may wish to track down. I could listen to him for hours, in whatever guise.
No I dont think this is above a superstar... oh heres a little tinted person hahahahah
