  • Metropark Station along the Northeast Corridor opened in 1971, and is owned by NJT, with many features of the station sporting NJT branding colors and design choices that make the station stand out. The platforms are big enough to hold any full consist of trains that actively operate on the Northeast Corridor. This station is one of the more major stops along the corridor, as not only New Jersey Transit stops here, but multiple Amtrak services and even the Acela Express makes a stop here, although the Acela Express will only serve the station depending on what side and what time of day it is; otherwise, either of the middle two tracks between the local service tracks may be used for Acela Express sets to pass through. These tracks also may be used for any Amtrak services that may be longer distance, or have fewer stops than something like the Keystone Service or Northeast Regional, both of which stop at this station alongside all of NJT's local services. #newjerseytransit #shorts

Last car behind the locomotive is a former Comet IV car; all are now in the process of being converted to coaches.

Yep, it was - fun fact too, I actually rode one of these coaches on the way back to New York, from Rahway (transferred).
