    I wish she’d post more content. The latest stuff by others is subpar.

    Thank you for this very helpful video! How does the function of this foot compare to #86, the ruffler?

    I really enjoy watching your videos. I have a lot of feet for my machine but I didn’t have a way to know how to use them. I have one question, are the gathers adjustable after it is sewn just like when you do it by hand? Can’t wait to visit your store this spring and summer!

      The gathers are sewn in so trying to adjust them afterward is not a good option. Just do your test runs to get the amount of gathers you need by making adjustments to the stitch width, stitch length and needle tension. Thank you for watching and hope to see you in the spring.

    This foot looks great! I have the ruffler foot #86 already. Do you think I need this gathering foot #16 also?

      @ginasberninasewingcenter2375  3 года назад +1

      I use the #16gathering foot on the lighter weight fabrics such as batiste when I want a more gathered look. I think you would enjoy having it. Thanks so much for watching. Kathy

    I will try this foot on single layer silk chiffon. Does the stabilizer go above and below the fabric, or on one side only? Thanks.

    • @ginasberninasewingcenter2375
      @ginasberninasewingcenter2375  3 года назад +1

      To gather the fabric you should not need the stabilizer. That would prevent the gathering.

      @@ginasberninasewingcenter2375 This fabric is so very thin. Some people at heirloom sewing suggested and aqua from OESD. Thank you for your reply!

      I have never needed a stabilizer. I do however give myself a seam allowance of around .75 to 1 inch. I use a small microtec size 70 needle with light weight thread. I have gathered lots of silk chiffon but by all means, if you experience any difficulties with it, try the stabilizer.
