You are the first reviewer of one of these emergency radios to state how long it takes to charge it using the small solar panel. Two days is actually a lot quicker than I would have guessed, I was thinking more like 4½ to 5 days. Thank you from your newest subscriber.
i know i'm a year late..but i've had this for many many months..and i turn it on every other day to hear the weather, i go weeks without charging it..never went dead on me..i only charge it once every month, like i do with all my rechargeables, just to keep them charged in case
I need to charge my cell phone. I just got the esky out of the box. Do I need to hand crank the esky before charging my cell? Confused as the steps from getting this out of the box the first time to using it to charge a phone. Thanks
@@ItsRealyReall I mean if you’re bored on a trip or a storm or heat cut out power (happens a lot here in summer in Australia) I could imagine the hand crank would be very useful
bought this last year, now trying to charge it, battery does not charge even after being plugged in f overnight, radio does work when attached to power source but battery no longer charges
I think you’re able to really easily replace the lithium ion battery on these types of radio. There should be a screw on the bottom where you can undo a door which will reveal a battery connected to a connector clip. As for the radio situation, that’s very strange

im buying this
Is the battery included?
Yes
when you don't use it for a while does the charge hold?
Barely. But that’s one of the reasons I’m glad this has a crank.

Do you have to hand crank when new? Thank you
You just have to hand crank if there are no other power options, such as no charge in the battery

That's what I did. :) I just sat there and cranked for under a minute, it charged for two or so minutes, then I kept cranking.

"Just 1000 mAh"
But others are just 350 mAh
1000 mAh PLUS the power of your arm to keep it going if you’re desperate for a full charge
