So did you buy anything in the process of building the access panel or did you use only stuff you have, Just wondering because I am about to drywall my pantry that has a waterline in it. The people that fixed the waterline before we owned the house just drilled a hole through the stairs so it was less work for them. But I am sick of looking at a nasty pantry so I am drywalling half of it with the other half used for a storage spot. But I am just trying to figure out if I should just drywall it and add a access panel later which is probably what I will do if I have to I will just cut the spot for the access panel later if I run into problems with the waterlines the shut off is not even in the pantry the tards put it in the middle of the line which is something I would never do. I always try putting my shutoffs one end of the line you done more than what most people would have done to a access panel

not too bad bro ... the most important thing is that you have that on-off valve and that you can access it

Good video would have notched the trim out in the hinge side to give it a cleaner look and move that trim in closer if possible

Should have made the cut out a littler smaller allowing room for the outlet you would still have access to the plumbing. You can always move the out let over not a big deal. Move the outlet to the left towards the next stud.

This door has to be this big to get a single valve in the middle?

I wanted to give myself a little extra room. But it isn’t necessary. Thanks for watching!

Yes you should decorate all sides of the door panel so as to even up the moisture intake during the seasons. This way the panel should suffer less from warping as will the use of 3 hinges rather than just 2. Yes more work certainly but once the door racks there ain't no way in hell to correct it.

Love all the tips, but using a tripod makes watching any DYI video less of being on a roller coaster ride, but thanks anyway.
