Can you call Resident Evil 3 a successful remake if it failed to fix any of the issues with the original and cut out a third of the content and gameplay? In some ways the remake is worse than the original, and I'm not even referring to the outfit change. Watch the video to find out what I'm talking about.

Me: *aims at Nikolai's head*
Game: "Did you say shoulder?"
That's nothing I shot him in the bollocks and it still hit his shoulder
@@currymonster6516 Haha I did the same thing, being the mature adult that I am :P
• Lünar Ciłent • I didn’t even aim at him and it still hit his shoulder.
the same thing literally happens in CoD: Modern Warfare 2 where you can yeet the knife either at Shepherd's chest or arm but it always lands on his left eye
that's what happens when the aiming mechanic is control by nokia.
Nemesis' job isn't to eliminate Jill, it's to grab her and throw her to the ground so she can run away.
Dude I swear I saw your comment before 😂
How porny
Lol
*Nemesis: Picks up Jill* "Dammit jill, How many times have I gotta tell ya? You gotta go THAT way! I swear if I weren't here you'd NEVER finish a single stage......"
I see you everywhere lol
You missed the fact that Umbrella created Nemesis, to kill stars members, to hide the fact it was Umbrellas fault, then proceeds to make weapon boxes for Nemesis with the umbrella logo written all over it!!
Umbrella was about to wipe the entire city with a missile. I wouldn't think of that as a problem. In fact I see it as a great opportunity to go all out with those toys for Nemi.
@@ignaciojzam Yeah, deploying the Nemesis, UBCS, etc was for testing the bio tech and data collection. With a side goal of vengeance against the stars. The nuke was always the way to cover everything up.
@@avernvrey7422 Exactly
That's a pretty good idea ig, but
Wasn't nemesis created as a bio weapon and hunting stars was for test data?
"Jill has done very little packing." I'll be the first to admit, I don't start packing until the day before I move out of a place. It just do be like that sometimes.
Not to mention packing would have drawn the suspicion of those spying on her...
Maybe she lives in bnb 😅
Pablo Vicente Lol Some of these “sins” aren’t sins at all.
Worked for a moving company for almost 10 years in college; can confirm most people start packing the morning of lol
residentjess considering Jill is supposed to be a member of S.T.A.R.S., a group that is supposed to be elite, I would imagine she would be more aware of what is going on around her. The fact that she was so unaware of her surroundings that she didn’t consolidate her supplies, barricade her apartment, and start planning to move if her apartment got overrun or compromised, seems to be a character mismatch. What kind of elite group has someone so grossly incompetent at planning for survival in a situation that is quickly deteriorating in the worst way?
Take a shot everytime Nemesis has a chance to kill Jill, but doesn't. You won't survive.
Gotta love grabbing her by the head, not crushing it like a grape, tossing her like a rag doll, and then slowly, slooooooooowly, aiming the flame thrower........ And then not pulling the trigger until she's out of range. Fuck this game.
@@alastor8091 Yeah that scene was really damn weird
Toasty Danny yes because you’d want the game to end 5 minutes after starting it
Honestly, original Nemesis actually tried to kill Jill. He'd toss her too, but then immediately try to grab ya to finish her off with the same tentacle attack he used to kill Brad.
I died a lot in RE3 1999. Barely died in the remake. Even Mr. X was a more worthy opponent.
You'll start seeing STARS
You missed a few sins:
1) No Barry Burton cameo.
2) Nemesis Stage 2 looks like a Xenomorph juiced on steroids.
3) Nemesis Stage 3 looks like the love child of a Xenomorph queen and the Thing from the 1982 film.
4) no Mercenaries mode.
I agree with all that and add one more:
5) No Dino Crisis's "Regina" Costume
The last sin in the video is actually somewhat false, if you don't shoot Nicholai you can get a "secret" death
Also Jill's "So long, RC" line weirdly trivializes her motivation to help the UBCS in the first place, making the nuking of a whole city just a passing event
Lets be fair the whole game was mercenary mode just a mindless shooter
Resistance is the mercenaries mode of this remake
how about in the opening section when Jill closes the apartment door on nemesis and he actually couldn't get through it.
That door is made of vibranium
He thought it was a red door from lfd
malik green He thought must be a safe room...
I caught that too
I kept saying that several times when she closed a door or barricaded a path. I also find it funny how Nemesis always knows where she is and somehow can't kill her.
Chris: I can punch boulders!
Jill: Hold my rail gun
This needs to be made into a meme.
Don't forget claire lifts boulders too
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yes
Jill's borrowing Chris roids
Jill must have a titanium skeleton cause her legs should of blown out and went flying into a wall after she fired the rail gun due to the recoil being able to break the ground under her.
"this is day one of the Outbreak"
Actually, it's day 6. The Outbreak on Raccoon City started on September 22nd. Jill begins her escape on September 28th.
This makes even less sense in the plot. Why is Jill only now freaking out about the surge of zombies. This was a problem in Re2, as the outbreak had been going on for a week and was only being talked about on conspiracy radio shows. It doesnt make sense why Jill and everyone is so freaked out. Nemesis makes sense, it's a new a scary threat only tailored to her, but she should have known about this outbreak
Jirian Mori I don’t know about everything else, but I know that the reason only niche conspiracy places were talking abt it was because umbrella as well as the government we’re both trying and succeeding to cover up the incident as it was happening
@@bigboy4137 In the beginning of RE3, news stations were talking about the virus, and the CDC got involved, why wasn't the city evacuated, or evactuatING by then?

I expected a sin like: Even though Jill hears Brad extremely distressed and she already went through a lot of shit, his call barely alarms her at all. She's like "wait I gotta get my purse and my hat and I meet you at the bar in 20 minutes".
I always assumed she was going to say something like, "All right. Let me grab my keys." or "Let me grab my gun.".
@@adamgarris7224 Also, this is Brad we’re talking about. He’s known for panicking.
Man, that call last 9 SECONDS... and I am sure Jill was about to grab his gun.
@@Kwatcher100I know Brad's a bitchass pussy but no way would he on a daily basis call Jill in a distressed tone and yell "Hey get the fuck outta there cause there's a buncha zomhies!"
That last struggle with Nikolai angers me so much. Jill is the only one with a gun and Carlos has him in a choke hold, they are literally in zero danger. Jill could simply walk right up to them and shoot Nikolai in the head. Or Carlos could just let go and move to the side and then Jill could shoot him, it makes no sense.
you made the scene look much worse 😂
Lol
All the muscles can't choke out a little traitor.
If you miss on inferno you have to fight Nemesis again. There's no way to save
Carlos could done have the rear naked choke. Easiest choke one of the first one that you learn in military lol....mercenary who doesnt know how to perform it
They also cut 1/3 of the herbs, this remake doesn't even have blue ones.
And gave the green herbs a similar role, but just as abortion medicine for when the Brain Deimos rule34 Jill, in just ONE 10 minutes portion of the game.
Its cause there's no poison so not really any need for blue herbs
I'm glad though, getting poisoned was annoying and didn't really add anything to the game neither did the blue herbs
@@strepsillover9112 annoyance and extra challenge
@@xxvaltielxx1789 In RE2 Remake, the only ennemy that had the potential to poison you were the G-adults (I'm not counting 4th survivor and Ghost survivor as they are not the main game) and there is a "staggering" 7-8 of them in the entire game, all of them being entirely and easily avoidable and exclusively in the sewers.
I got "parasite" more than I got poisoned overall. And it's far more annoying to go through my green herb supply, especially on nightmare/inferno difficulty, than MAYBE using 1 blue herb. The only way to avoid using a green herb is to do the entire Deimos section while being "parasited" and leave (which is ludicrously hard/suicidal at anything higher than standard since you're slowed down to a crawl and can't run, and lose health over-time).
02:45 After Nemesis bursts trough the wall like Kool Aid man, Jill closes the door thinking it will make any diference (ding)
What's worse is the fact that it kinda does make a difference because after she closes the door nemesis doesn't get through until she gets further up that hallway Even though we just seen this fool bust through a damn wall.
Issue Sin 39:
Nemesis is the most durable Resident Evil character?
Leon Kennedy (especially RE6) uses train crashes as an alarm clock when he wakes up!
16:32 Carlos is an Umbrella trained mercenary, couldn’t he have broken Nicholai’s neck once he got him in a chokehold? I feel like he would have had CQC training for something like that.
Nikolai was squirming too much
Yeah, Carlos should have taken Nicholai to the ground and give him a good old rear neck choke.
Aki Oca “your CQC is sloppy come see me later for a lesson you won’t forget.” -Big Boss
Assassino275 Fair point, but couldn’t Carlos have kicked out the back of Nicholai’s leg and took him out then?
You do know umbrella only has one competent agent good at kill people can fight back.
“Dr Bard is overstating his usefulness” If Umbrella was killing all of the researchers to prevent a leak, and now Umbrella military team is on the way to rescue you...wouldn’t you ?
The funniest thing about the car in Jack's garage was that it was Ethan's car. If Ethan had taken his keys with him, the car would have never ended up in the garage. The fight could have ended up very different
Yoooo I never thought of that good peep!
ofc not, they will empty his pockets
Jill asked how is it that no one in the hospital ever noticed this? My kind sir I've worked 10 years at a place, and they're spots I've never ever been to. Never seen at all, not because I wasn't allowed in that area. Just had no reason to go, so it's possible hospitals are huge! I can understand a small business worker saying this, but when you work for a place the size of 5 warehouses, you CANNOT see it all or have any reason to. You stay where your job is.
not to mention there is files that say that it is a secret room that nurses aren't allowed in , i'm sure doctors knew because they worked for umbrella
I work in a massive manufacturing plant (almost 1000 employees) and other than the very first day I started when the new employees took a tour, I've never been inside certain departments since. I've been there 15 years now.
You... you must be a very very boring person
it my be my inner kid saying this, but whenever I enter a workplace, a school, or any building, I explore it to shit in order not to get bored.
Especially if it's a place I'll be revisiting daily. I really wanna know all exits and shortcuts, and how to access the roof and shit, not because it might be useful, but because it interests me.
and I doubt that there wouldn't be at least 1 person like me in an entire hospital like the one in-game
There actually were people who noticed the secret labs but they were taken as test subjects.
@@Neo2266. wow you must be very very fun in party huh?
You're actually the one who's a boring person, not him. People can have their own interests, they don't have to share your interest. Calling others that have different interest as boring people is very rude.
Besides, if we go by your logic, let say there really is a biological weapon being secretly developed in your hospital you're working at, you wouldn't get allowed to get there. Even if you manage to find the secret lab, you wouldn't be alive telling the story about it either way.
"Mikhail and Viktor are both firstnames"
Actualy in Belarus this is a common thing to use first name as a surname. So i guess both Mikhail Viktor and Sergei Vladimir were both from there. That or Capcom didn't really cared at that point.
Capcom prolly didn’t care, have u seen the name of most resident evil characters
It's BADLY directed, cuts lots of content, completely misses the tone, it's too expensive for what it is... Was made quickly, uninspiredly, without respect for the original nor the fans, for a cash grab... Such a waste! Sad we got this “remake” for RE3 and we likely won't get anything better for a decade or maybe ever. No need of a remake seeing this, tho, the original will always be much better, so... Even more puzzling coming from the same company that made the best remake ever (RE1)!

May I remind you that this is the series that had you shoot a bug woman with a lightning/plasma gun, a climax where three people have a gun and fist fight in a volcano without immediately dying and a city built in the middle of the sea being burned down thanks to a satellite focusing sunlight directly on it. Resident Evil has always been incredibly stupid like that. That's part of the charm.
@@grantmoore8228 It's weird how RE fans forget the series has never been gritty jumpscare fests like 7, and always had a ton of campy fun.

That had me screaming.
He almost does if the 3rd person mode is at all accurate weapon-size wise. The ballista in Eternal is about as big if not thicker than the railgun here, the barrel just isn't quite as long.
But its true
The miniskirt makes sense over the lara croft 2019 cosplay since Jill was unaware of the virus and that's just her casual wear.
Actually no. In the original, she was fully aware of the outbreak and decided to escape the city, which is why she had her gun with her. You can see this in the intro. It wasn't a casual outfit, it was a costume she chose to wear for her "last escape", so a sleeveless top and a skirt is the most impractical choice a special forces soldier would choose.
In the remake it would make more sense since she was just chilling in her appartment, if it weren't because very few women wear tight leather mini skirts unless they are going to a party or a date.
That Jill-getting-shot-by-rocket-but-not-dying scene is straight up bullshit
In the original it took TWO direct hits with the rocket launcher to kill you if your health was full: it's the very idea of putting a weaponized enemy in a RE game that is flawed to begin with.
Because she's a strong female character
@Claire Redfield or the laser of the rocket shouldn't be locking too hard on the character during gameplay becoz it looks weird lol
Yoooo my bf wouldn't stop going on about it while I played LMFAO

Capcom clearly rushed the game and people are still making excuses.
How is a 4 year development cycle rushing? Modern gamers have no idea how long it takes to make games I guess. Plus if people love this game so what? They are entitled to their opinion just like you.
We get it. You prefer endless fetch quests to give you a fake sense of actual playtime. Anybody that played the original knew this was going to be a shorter experience than other RE's. Plus we already knew months beforehand that Mercenaries was going to be removed for Project Resistance, so that would shorten the replayability. But, people will still make excuses to hate on a game because they can't think for themselves and just parrot what others say.
I don't think Capcom particularly rushed this game (atleast purposefully) though I imagine that was a small element likely so they could capitalise on the success of RE:2. However I think the Development team behind this one was just less capable overall. Whilst I have no evidence It seems as though they were failing to hit deadlines and had no real cohesive plot or solid foundation for this game which is why so many assets, sounds, a.i and more were re used and so much more was cut. Likely so they could accelerate dev time in a bid to make it profitable after losing so much to an inexperienced team.
Ryan Venter No, not fetch quests. Actual value for money would be nice. It's a €60 game. I'd like to see a AAA developer reflect that price tag. To let that go unchecked means that Capcom will think it's fine to do this, which it isn't. The complaints are valid. The game has key areas cut and lots of plot holes, more than even the original. It's laziness and I don't get why people are defending a multi million dollar company, as if they're paying your bills. They did a bad job. The game is way too short and the post game content is non existent. That's not OK for a full priced game.
If that was the case, i wound not be mad. But the game was 3 years in development... so i don't know what the fuck happened
No Sin should be missed:
Jill's redesign is a ripoff of Lara Croft.

Or maybe Claire Redfield s
So no other woman (or man for that matter) can wear a tank top and jeans? I guess Mike from Until Dawn must have ripped off Lara's outfit as well.
@@JohnPerry27 Come on, it literally looks like Capcom just swiped Lara's character model from the newer Tomb Raider games and put it on Jill.
It's also very similar to Claires from the 2 Remake. The only difference is the colour scheme.

Just when u think when a game company has finally redeemed itself by releasing a well finished product after all the nonsense we have seen in the last five ten years,it goes on to betray that trust by doing a cash grab.
Actually if you look into Capcom’s history, they always put at least one cash grab between 2 good games. That is why I dumped Capcom games for good. They treat customers like how I treat my lab frogs.

Bernard Delos Santos I mean it’s packed, with zombies
@@banyamano010 but mostly cops, not much civilians. lol
Better advice would be to ask everyone to evacuate to that parking garage from the beginning of RE3 and which, by the way, is right in front of police station. Garage has multiple levels, so it could accommodate plenty of people and you can proceed to evacuate them in groups by helicopter from the rooftop. Also, the building itself contains only one entry point and it could be easily defended against any enemy (that is, unless Nemesis shows up, but he is ordered to chase after S.T.A.R.S members, not civilians).
To take shelter*. There was no evacuation plan in place for Raccoon City. UBCS’ “plan” was an excuse to deploy soldiers into a BOW infested area so Umbrella could gather combat data.

Yeah, except Nemesis stole all the toilet paper 😂😂
At 7:09 let me correct you, in original Nemesis did not show up randomly. Whenever you started a NG+ in classic RE3N Nemesis shows up at the exact same moments of Raccoon City pursuing Jill whether it's the R.P.D, Raccoon City, in the R.P.D Office, etc and yes, in classic he was also scripted as well as the same events triggered him. Ppl seem to have the misconception tht the Classic Nemesis wasnt scripted but he was, even in the choice events he was scripted whether you run or fight him. The only difference is that they added more forms of him, which couldnt be done back then due to system and file size and on top of tht RE3N was never actually planned to be an RE3 game at all back in the day.
Original Nemesis was scripted, but his encounters in the original were more organic to the gameplay.
Plus original Nemesis actually was scary as they set him up to be an organic Terminator who won't stop until all STARS are dead. This is shown by him killing Brad.
Remake Nemesis is neutered, he doesn't get a single STARS kill. Poor Nemesis.
Oh my fucking god.....look at that. Someone who is smart.
@@Gruntvc u also dont get why ppl are comparing to the original (even if they get info wrong from either watching a person original blind playthrough or never played the classic) it's a remake not a remaster like the original RE. I do like how they did Nemesis and the new Form 2nd and Form 2nd-B (With the tentacle) I do wish for more chase sequences of those form then his base form, woulda been more intense imo.
I did wonder back then when u play as Carlos and return with the vaccine "Wait Nemesis? Why are chasing Carlos? He's not S.T.A.R.S. lol"
@@correllroyhdatitsbest3492 RE1 got a proper remake while RE2 and 3 both got higher definition retellings of their respective stories
not the same thing
I think in RE3 there were scripted events but there were also placed in a way that depending on how you want to tackle the objective, nemesis would be sent after you since there were multiple routes to get the progression going. This gave the impression of randomness and in certain large areas allowed nemesis to chase after the player giving some tension.
No one is gonna call out Jill’s “bitch can’t even swim” comment when you watched Nemesis do literally everything else and just stop to make a phone call? That part killed me.
Nemesis is a bio-weapon, not a man in his 50's. It could just have not been designed or tested for water operations. Besides, Nemi did't fly or drive a car to state "literally everything."
In the original game...
1) The rail gun wasn't developed by Umbrella. It belonged to the US Army who sent it in along with a squadron of Delta Force. Delta Force was sent in to obtain the G-Virus and the Rail Cannon (named The Demon Sword of Paracelsus) was dropped in to fight against any G mutations they encountered. They were ambushed by 5 T-103 tyrants (5 Mr. Xs) sent by Sergei to wiped them out. Both parties killed the other and the Rail Cannon went unused until Jill, who had once trained with the Delta Force used it to kill Nemesis
Edit: The loss of a Delta Force team was what caused anti-biohazard training in the USSTRATCOM (where Leon & Krauser worked) as well as the formation of FBC from RERevelations
2) Carlos and Jill learned oof the missile strike only after the missile had already launched. Carlos saw the missile on radar systems in the Disposal Plant's Tower and that's how they found out. They were saved by Barry Burton coming to pick up Jill after Nicolai stole the last helicopter.
3) Nicolai served directly under an Umbrella executive named Sergei Vladimir and, under Sergei's orders joined the UBCS as a secret Monitor too, alongside other Monitors, collect Combat Data from the Outbreak and kill any survivors they may come across as well as other UBCS members. Nicolai decides to kill off other Monitors to increase his paycheck. While never officially confirmed that Nicolai survived the outbreak, Capcom has hinted and it is generally accepted that he did survive.
Edit: 4) The outbreak started on the night of the 25th. This game opening takes place on the night of the 28th which means Jill was ignorant for THREE DAYS! In the OG she was trapped in her apartment by chaos during the early hours and when she attempted to escape she was overwhelmed and hid in Dario's warehouse until the 27th.
All of this (except #2) is talked about in other games as well as other different media but all in the RE continuity. ALL of this is removed in the remake.
*sigh* how many sins is that worth? I'm gonna say at least 12 in total.

Another sin: After Jill apologizes to Carlos, he tells her that she rescued him first. Carlos is calling back to an event that never happened.
@Aidan Ward That still happened after Carlos saved Jill. He saved Jill when they first met and again just before this scene.

@@artemisfowl1862 but hes sinned every other Resident Evil cliche so far, why not add this one?

You missed 2 sins. When Carlos rescues Jill, and he informs her that he's part of the U.B.C.S., Jill exclaims that Umbrella is the one that caused all of this, trying to convince Carlos that his employer isn't a good company. The sin is that Jill doesn't ask Carlos why Umbrella, a PHARMACEUTICAL company, would even have a paramilitary faction.
The second sin, you covered-up the dialogue with another sin, happens when Jill thanks Carlos for saving her, and Carlos replies that she saved him first. That is highly incorrect, since Carlos first rescued her from Nemesis with a rocket launcher, then they introduced themselves.
Edit: Do people not read the conversation before they post a comment? Jill knows that Umbrella has its own paramilitary/security force. I was saying she should have asked Carlos that question because he didn’t know that Umbrella, the corporation he worked for, was manufacturing B.O.W.s, so having him start to wonder why a pharmaceutical company needed its own private army would help him to realize that Umbrella wasn’t the good company it pretended to be.
Carlos refers to when Nemesis was gonna enter the subway, Jill lead him somewhere else to secure him and the civilians
Right but he still saved jll first before that
I think after Jill discovering Umbrella has secret underground facilities and the ability to issue B.O.Ws after specific people having a paramilitary team would just be par for the course
MrMusty Well, Jill already knew that Umbrella was manufacturing B.O.W.s after the "mansion incident" in RE1, so Umbrella having it's own paramilitary group doesn't surprise her. But at the beginning of the game, Carlos has no idea what Umbrella has been up to. To him, Umbrella is just a pharmaceutical company, and his employer. That would be like finding out that Bayer has it's own paramilitary group. They just make aspirin, so why on Earth would they need a paramilitary group?
the first one's a stretch.. but I noticed the second one you mentioned during my first playthrough, and it bugs me every time I hear it
4:47 It's my guess that the Mikhail chose to rescue civilians; the actual orders were to eliminate them (anyone escaping the city would whistleblow umbrella). This is the reason why they had no proper plan to get civilians out of the city.
This decision is also why the higher ups of umbrella sent the T-103's to do what the UBCS wouldn't as tyrants aren't clouded by human morality.
The general rundown in the original was they sent a platoon in to save civilians. That's what all the regular mercenaries like Carlos and Mikhail thought they were there for. There were a given number of supervisors, like Nikolai, who had all the necessary info on what to expect and were to gather combat data to understand how effective they were. Everyone else were just guinea pigs.
Upon gathering as much data as possible they were to ring the bell at the clock tower to signal a rescue chopper and get out. And a chopper did come in the original, but was shot down by Nemesis. Presumably, if any civilians were actually picked up, or even just one of the regular mercenaries, they'd interrogate them to see if they knew the truth of the outbreak or who was behind it, and then decide whether to execute them or just let them go.
Keep in mind that just because there was an uncontainable outbreak doesn't necessarily mean they'll know Umbrella was behind it. It gives them good PR if some clueless civilians talk about the rescue. I mean, they sent in an entire military unit to save people. How could they be the bad guys?
Though that in itself is a little strange. Why would a pharmaceutical company have a military unit on standby?
Olly Pinoy67 idk, if you have to make rationalizations on the behalf of the plot, isn't that just bad writeing?
My dad introduced me to RE when it first came out on the PS1. He watched the first encounter with Nemesis and kept questioning why he didn't kill Jill the multiple chances he had, lmao.
Maybe cause he was programmed by Umbrella to make her suffer before he kills her? A little imagination can go a long way you know.

The biggest sin was not having Shinji Mikami work on the RE remakes. I noticed when he is not working on it the quality of the game drops. That's the problem
To date, while I enjoyed RE2 Remake 2019, Resident Evil 1 Remake 2002 is the best one. Losing the original creator has greatly affected this franchise negatively.
Heck, Shinji Mikami actually got the 1999 original team to add content to RE3, content completely cut by this hack outsourced team.
@ichaelis then he need to do that and capcom need to stop remaking resident evil games
@ichaelis TEW is cliched tropey, trash.
The Evil Within kind of disproved the Mikami myth. It was an alright game but hardly a masterpiece.
@@Sifer2 Well first impression is "Ah Mikami san at work again, smells alot of RE" the settings and subtle hints to RE are there, I liked it but was frustrating at 1st playthrough, but after that NG+ are fun as hell, that is because now theres more balanced in weapons and ammo, at start you are limited and the sneaking arent the best in the game.

@Guile Solomon Honestly, I don't want them to remake Code Veronica. The last time they touched that storyline they made Darkside Chronicles. The presentation of events and a couple characters in that game was flat out fucking terrible.
Guile Solomon mercenaries wasn’t the best thing about re3 people only played it for Infinite stuff anyway

silverblade357 because at least dark side told us a story that made more sense than what re2 remake did
15:52 the fact that this isn’t where they put “You want stars? I’ll give you stars!” Is probably my biggest problem with the game
I think the bigger issue is that the place they put the line actually brings her badass points DOWN. Half the Let's players I've watched play through the game get whacked by Nemesis mid-line. If it's not set up so she can always get the full line out then what's the point? And considering it's a run away scene and not a battle scene the line doesn't even have any relevance.
Yes! The ultimate sin of this remake

10:46 original MGL was first produced around 1983, the MGL GL name is funny tho
No, the original 6 shot 40mm Grenade Launcher of the 80's was the Arwen.
The much more modern one featured here is the MilCor.
While it still looks similar, with the same big revolver style, 6 shot cylinder..
They are decades apart.
Even the M4 rifles were not yet the standard in 1998. The CAR-15 was around since Vietnam, as were both the M203 for it, & the M-79 (thumper/wombat gun), both in 40mm, and single shot.
The M-79 was Claire's heavy Armament in RE2. As she was rediculously denied the Magnum, regardless of which character playthrough & scenario you chose to go first with.
Even despite it being used at such rediculously close quarters, that real 40mm grenades don't even arm, (they have a built in failsafe that permanently duds them, if they dont achieve a set distance of rifled flight from the barrel) to avoid killing or fragging oneself with a danger close grenade shot.
Like virtually every 40mm shot, in every RE game, always is..
Anyway, my point is no game, from any developer, is ever that spot-on with weapons.
And we all know it.

@@bjlewis5431Not the standard, sure. But M4s were absolutely around and widely known of in 1998.
I think the only sin I disagree with is Nemesis being melt in acid. It's made pretty clear that the acid destroyed the body but not the parasite controlling Nemesis like a brain. Nemesis can only be truly killed once the parasite is gone. The parasite then managed to control the melted chunks of meat and the acid around them to become Nemesis phase 3. Jill then puts the rail gun into Nemesis' mouth to obliterate the parasite directly, so Nemesis can't rearrange his body. Apart from that, I *think* I agree with all the other ones, but then again, I'm good at suspending my disbelief, so I don't really care.
5:09 to be fair UBCS are not exactly Umbrellas A teams. That’s USS. But semantics lol
This, they're just hiring expendable goons for combat data. You can read Murphy's journal and find out they just picked him out of prison.
If Umbrella really wants shit done, they send in HUNK. If they really REALLY want shit done, they send in TOFU.
Except that UBCS is just like the USS, barring that USS are just glorified guards with only small teams doing anything like what Hunk did.
UBCS were expendable assets, there was no true mission to save survivors, just to acquire combat data for umbrella to see armed individuals fight b.o.w's.
When the outbreak occurred, they released b.o.w's galore into raccoon city plus the zombies already there.
You would have realised pretty quick that getting out the helicopter was the biggest mistake you made.
What bugs me about the game is the corpses of dead U.S S. Soldiers. Im pretty sure they're supposed to be UBCS. They either got lazy or mixed up on who was who.
Gee, I wonder why the woman with PTSD who's hopped up on sleeping pills to stop the nightmares, was watched from her apartment by Umbrella goons, was betrayed by a teammate she trusted who secretly worked at Umbrella and is currently being chased by a B.O.W sent by the corporation would be aggressive and rude towards Mercs who gladly work for the company?
it would make sense if she didnt treat nemesis or any other enemy as a nuisance rather that threats which completely contrasts from the opening. Her being angry at them was done way better in the original since they justify it by saying they are just hired guns trying to save people even when they dont know they will survive themselves
@@scottjefferson4048 well she does treat Nemisis with mockery the longer he chases her while during the beginning she's piss terrified of him. Yea. There isn't anything I would change about the original RE3. In fact the huge map was great. The game felt like it was unfolding over and over. In fact I recently watched a WALK THRU WALLS MOD video of RE3REMAKE, and it is obvious that the game was going to be like the original, but I don't know what happened. Honestly, I bet the design programmers are actually furious.
In the original RE 3, Nemesis didn't appear randomly... It was depending in your previous actions...

There is a lot of copy/paste in this series. Look at the number of bosses that break through walls, the number of helicopter crashes, and final cut scenes of a massive explosion that is meant to end the virus's spread there is in this series.
6:11 I think they expanded a bit on Nikolai's story in Operation Racoon City, where he was basically a liability and on the run from umbrella and being inadvertedly chased around the city by the wolf pack....speaking of which that would have been a nice cameo to put in this game.
didn’t they just name that Chris’s new squad in RE8?

A missed sin: Even if you don't pick up the Grenade Launcher or if you don't have ammo for it, the cutscene will show Jill finishing Nemesis off with it.
5:18 I think this is more Jill not trusting UBCS. She was dissing Mikhail the whole conversation clearly not caring that he was hurt. At the end of the conversation, she says she is helping the citizens and not UBCS.
We know and it very clear since it was basically the scene and lyrics saying that. But the way she shes portayed here is dislikeable as a character.
Yeah she comes off as this hardened bitch with no sympathy and that's supposed to make her appear a strong female lead, I guess. Since when is being an asshole, regardless of gender, supposed to be a positive thing? Meh.
@@take7upyours822 in most cases I'd agree, but it kind of makes sense to me that Jill would act this way. So I could see why she was being initially hostile to some Umbrella mercenaries at first and then gradually accepting them and realizing she can trust them.
Not trusting someone, fine. Being a supreme bitch because apparently every female character needs to be an abrasive bitch needs to change. Even more, if shes going to be said hardened bitch, she should be far more abrasive to literally everyone then. Make the PTSD real and not selective once someone saves you and you suddenly start liking them. She feels like a male action protagonist in a female body and it does not work.
@@archmagosbarrett1955 whoa calm down. She's not a bitch at all, to me. That's just who Jill is. She comes from a hardened background. The only girl to make STARS until Rebecca comes along...but she has to be tough because she's a cop.
As far as them not hearing about it, when Leon pulls up his car is quiet so probably not listening to a radio, and any bike I’ve owned didn’t have a radio. The furthest the news seemed to cover was the trucker listening to a call in on a radio
I recall they sent a message to Leon to not go to RC but Leon decides to anyways. So it's more of the fact Leon wanted to help out but didn't know things were already out of control long ago.
The outbreak not being public knowledge makes even less sense in the remakes. The original implied that communications had been cut and the city had been quarantined. Claire made the impulsive ride to Raccoon City because the phone lines had been cut and she had already been unable to reach Chris. I always imagined the National Guard was turning people away and Leon/Claire just got unlucky.
I want to also imagine the radio line was cut off because umbrella doesn’t want news spreading too far
But wouldn't a virus that turned people into cannibals and killed tens of thousands in days not be national news? I think that's what the sin is. I found that weird too. The original set it up that it happened so fast that people couldn't even report on it in time. This opening conflicts with the game itself. If these news reports show rioting (why would people riot anyway), then how has Jill who lives in RC, not seen or heard it? How did she not hear all those cars pile up, or police set up road blocks? Or yano just the chaos a viral outbreak like that would cause?
It was, like everything in this game, a lazy decision that makes little sense.
G Doe resident evil 3 was not the greatest in the series anyways as it literally existed as a mini game to start that I finished the original in 1.5 hours with the right skills
So, is nobody adressing the fact that something died on top of Carlos' head?

I understand dude. I agree with most of your complaints. Playing through Hard mode was fun though & Nightmare difficulty seems interesting at the start. I'm not sure what Inferno mode entails?
5:27 why would Jill be nice to a group associated with the company that has caused this outbreak and the mansion incident. Hell, they are lucky shes even helping them.
To be fair all encounters she 's had with Umbrella in this game up to this point has been nothing but people trying to help her or the city. That should count for something.
@@lunamptv it was one with carlos saving her, which I totally understand but shes probably being cautious of this group cause let's remember... their disguise is a friendly pharmaceutical company. So shes probably just keeping her guard up. later she admits to carlos that she was wrong and thanks him. He even understands why she was apprehensive.
She flat out says she is doing it for the Civilian's not for the UBCS.
@@Sifer2 yes, exactly. They are lucky in the sense that their whole team ( I know many are dead or Injured ) has to basically rely on her, one person to turn the power back on. If it weren't for the survivors she may not have and honestly it would make sense. If you read the notes shes literally being stalked by Umbrella, afraid shes going to be silenced, hopped up on pills, having nightmares, lost half her coworkers and probably friends in the mansion incident, has to deal with another outbreak that's way worse in scale compared to the mansion, and now her city is becoming infected .... so yeah I'm sure hearing that this man who saved her is working for Umbrella is a little offputting at first and definitely a shock. Like of you would be nice in this situation that's fine, but it's also realistic that Jill may be distrusting. Everyone has a different personality, I like the new personality.
in OG3 she also said the same thing to Carlos.
"Umbrella? THEYRE' the ones who caused all of this in the first place!" - Jill, in the restaurant to Carlos 1999
"Jill was unaware of the virus despite the many broadcasts about it"
The game literally starts with her waking up
I wanna say I agree, But it looked like its been happening for atleast a day or two, Theres fire everywhere, Car crashes, and even a horde of zombies right when you leave. Even if it all happened in a day, You should take notice or have someone call you for checkup like Brad did.
It's day six of the outbreak when Jill wakes up. Must have been a hell of a nap!
They said "Wake up, sheeple!" and Jill listened.
Another sin: during the final encounter with Nicholai, Carlos tackles him from behind...WHERE WAS HIS RIFLE? THE SAME RIFLE HE CARRIED THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE GAME AND NOW HE JUST SO HAPPENS TO LOSE?
You know you lose all your weapons in a cut scene.
Another sin: after Nicholai leaves the mechanic garage he disappears into thin air
aRUARIAN-MUSIK that’s what I’m saying.. why was nobody talking about that!?!
Plot took it.
@@shaesullivan That’s why you should never be in cut scenes
The only thing that disappointed me was cutting out nemesis killing Brad.
Nemesis sucks in this game in-universe wise, in original there were only two STARS members left, Nemesis killed Brad, thus succeeding 50% of his objective, in this he cannot manage to even kill one of the member, so his whole existence is just a super failed objective.
DofyDudes even worse they let a basic zombie take the kill it's not like they even had a "better" fate for Brad
@@nnightkingj kinda made me wonder what's the point sending Nemesis down in the first place huh ? In original it can be also explained as for Nicholai to collect data for Umbrella. But in this Nicholai work against Umbrella, so his data collecting is only his own doing to get even more money.
I wasn't disappointed by this game at all, loved it from start to finish, but to each their own I guess.
Q's Views You probably never played the original that’s why.
Actually there was decent video conferencing tech during the 1990s that was done over cable lines directly rather than the Internet. But it would've been done on dedicated video conferencing stations with CRT televisions, not on computer screens.
I have a theory about why Nemesis went after Jill instead of finishing off Brad. Think about it, they also wanted combat data, Brad wouldn't exactly put up that much of a fight now would he? I think Umbrella changed his orders to go after Jill instead, it's mentioned in a file she was investigating their activities so it would make sense.
It also explains why he plays with her instead of finishing her off on the spot, besides plot armor. I think Nemesis loves to play with his food. The more he combats her, the more he learns until the very end when he probably ends up just getting angry and tries his all to end her. That's my theory!
Then just make that a story point. It's that easy. That's my major issue with this game. So many easy fixes and they just didn't bother.
why the fuck would you need combat data, if you have a perfect situation for Nemesis? this is what he's useful for, give him the arsenal he needs and he could kill half the city if he actually tried
a machine gun would take care of the Jill problem in seconds, the rocket launcher should do that as well.
You don't need no combat data for future missions, if this is already the most important mission, where Nemesis could fucking dominate every lifeform in the city easily
@@watchmehope6560 It's not just Nemesis that's playing with food. Mr X back then in Resident Evil 2 also was toying with Leon and Claire. Mr X can indeed run like Nemesis (Confirmed by wiki and the animated movies), why do you think he chooses to instead leisurely walk after them instead? It's a fun game to him as well
@@Irgoe Because you need to be told everything explicitly?
Hello from Japan! I have never played RE:3, but I did want Capcom to remake Resident Evil 3 more original-based (including and reflecting third-person angle, live selections, and even horrifying crimson heads) against the so-called trend toward current Resident Evil(I do like Resident Evil 4, though). Such contradiction considered, who is with me? I hope two things to sum up and that are Capcom will re remake Resident Evil 3 like resident evil on GameCube and my English is understandable to people here at least. Thank you for reading my comment.
What?!!
You aren't alone, dude. They also praised how realistic the game is. RE4 is not realistic and it was a fun game, different from the og formula but fun.
@@leogendary133 The modern day obsession with realism is a sickness of the industry.
@@fevermario thank god, someone else who isn't blinded by that, games are meant to be fun not reflect the real world. It's the same with movies, especially 80'/90's horor and action movies, they are fun to watch because of the campyness and most of the time nonsense.
Nemesis is just the covid patrol and heard that jill was trying to leave during quarantine
So 2 things to take away from watching this video: The game is very underwhelming and not thought through and the guy talking us through it is clearly the life of a party
