Firstly welcome to Ireland. We are stronger than we think. So many women are making life changes today. Wheather that's moving to Spain, buying a wee patch of land, or travelling solo. It's fantastic, and the support is there if you look. Trust your intuition, it won't let you down. Blessings from Co. Meath. ❤
Amazing 👏 well done! I am approaching 60 and am considering moving to Ireland with my greyhound and have friends here...Thanks for sharing your challenges and feelings. What a remarkable person you are! I love Ireland too and each time I come here I love it more! ❤
You are made of sturdy stuff - it’s great to see a woman who’s about my age, tackling their situation - and making it work in her favor. Changing everything in your life is not a walk in the park. It takes courage to step off into space and know that the angels will catch you before you hit bottom. Good for you! 8 years ago my husband and I decided to change our lives - we left NYC and moved into a derelict school house in western Ireland. I was 60…. We’ve never looked back. This life is not for everyone - but it belongs to us, and is as we have made it. It’s great to see you, and I will certainly follow along as you continue your own road. Thanks for letting me peek over your shoulder.
Wow! Yours is such an inspirational story. I can't wait to learn more. Thank you for stopping by today. After I feed my family, I will look through your videos to learn more. I am impressed!!!
You drove up the lane and seen the house and said Yes im home!!great journey, life is for living and you are living it.simple things we take for granted in every day life but this changes when you take a jump like you did.I love mayo and the west coast of Ireland. Take care and enjoy the gift of life.
I bought my house also in Mayo because I felt sorry for it 😄 it had been to auction 5 times with no no bids . Best thing i ever did . love it here felt like coming home from the first day here camping out in the one habitable room. Not to bad for me as only moved from co Armagh . So was able to move in gradually .
I was born in Sligo and moved to London aged 10 in 1989 and i'm married here now. I've always had a hook in me trying to pull me back there. Best wishes living there. It's the edge of the world there. Something about that makes the west coast so special.
This was so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and stories. I have been planning a similar journey for the last few years and too scared to jump. I'm all ready to go..... I can relate to almost everything you said. ❤
Great chat! Love your authenticity! & openess, I have already learned so much from you. Plus you are so brave to take it on and so far from your family & support system. Bet you'll find a new partner & job where u are now too though. Good luck with the progress. 😊

I'm so happy for you and your dogs! I'm 73, female, and hope to move from California to Oregon soon to be with my family. Oregon is better for me because it has more open spaces and costs less than California! ❤❤
Just go in and have a chat to your local vet when you get here. Some only offer certain services so you need to make sure your covered for emergencies or at least know where to go. March is a good time to move here. Best of luck
Just starting to learn that I have Scottish roots. Grandfather and Great Grands born in Scotland. Do you think it is in your blood? I live in the US and long to be there! I love your place. So tranquil and peaceful. I am 52 and know the importance of what you are doing. Keep at it.
I have a long term project which I’m hoping to achieve which will only improve the land, the amount of land is relative to this. It’s a long story and will share some time. Thank you
Making the move, myself, next year. Although not sure where yet, Ireland or Portugal. Hardest part will be leaving children and grandchildren but I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time. Your channel just popped up on my feed so I will be following along 😊
Good on ya, it will take a while to get used to the rugged windy rainy wildness of the west of Ireland, it's much wilder than where you were down south in England. Unfortunately Ireland is getting the frog boiled alive, just like every other country on Earth, here in the US, its beyond bad and on the way to getting much worse. Our occult central controllers, are pushing inflation way up and everything is costly, on the way to a transition from dead $ fiat to centralised CBDC trap. Looks like they allowed Brexit as a smoke screen to explain the decline of the UK economy/property crash, they will blame 2020/BREXIT/allied US foreign policy, for the carnage coming over the next 5/10 years. The EU is just behind, but appears that whilst it will be very badly hit, not quite as bad as UK, so you did well to get out when you did. It doesn't matter when the euro value of your farmstead drops, it's yours/your livelihood, keep costs down, by planting/farming as much as you can. God bless and Good luck.
@Ciaradexy It is great that people are buying these houses in the west of Ireland and fixing them up. The people in the west are very happy to see new people moving in. Especially hard working people like this lady.😊
As a Mayo native ... l really admire your perseverance and love of the land. God bless you. ❤

You have to jump if it’s your decision and there is no one else trying to push you because they can’t jump. Take care and best of luck.

Castlebar Animal hospital is fabulous. Companion animal practice. Also Paul Cummins in Ballinrobe, small and large animal practice.

Your channel just popped up. Great story. I admire you doing this on your own. Did you say 20 acres? Why did you need so much land?
I have a long term project which I’m hoping to achieve which will only improve the land, the amount of land is relative to this. It’s a long story and will share some time. Thank you

Do you have a po box so we can send you and the dogs stuff?

Just found your channel.
Just wondering do you have to pay big Property tax on the land?
The information you need is on the government website. Listing threshold etc.
Idyllic cant beat the old cottage for a home

Why is Ireland being colonised by Brits again?
Yea.. a few Brits... but mostly by Somalians and Sub Saharan people, and they are promised a free gaff
Sell a terraced house in Londonstan and buy a beautiful cottage in Ireland - bank the hundreds of thousands left over and wait for your pension !!
