- After watching several videos that showed how NIVEA Skin Firming & Smoothing concentrated Serum made such a difference on upper and lower eye bags, I went and promptly bought the wrong NIVEA product by mistake!!

For everyone's knowledge, Nivea no longer carries the serum. They suggest using the Gel Cream as it has the same level of Q10. I heard back from the manufacturer directly. So hopefully vloggers will keep talking about the gel cream body one.

Anne-Marie put me on game to the Nivea serum... which I couldn't find... but I just grabbed some of the Nivea Firming gel-cream and applied it to my (developing) double chin, neck and decolletage area. I swear I detect a difference! ♥

I did do the same thing but I have been using on my neck while I wait for the other one to arrive. Like you I love the feel of my skin in that area now. By the way I am 74.

I'm sure you know this already, but Ann Marie also got the gel cream by mistake after the concentrate and found it also seemed to work on eyes but probably more slowly than the concentrate. She did a video on it. X
I used the Nevea skin firming and in 2 days, truth, really 2days, my wrinkles under my eyes were smooth !!!!! there was no way this happened so fast. I'm 71, I only have the wrinkles under my eyes, the rest of my face has no wrinkles at all. I'm swearing by this stuff forever !!! Bought it in Shoprite for about 8 dollars and change. Best 8 bucks that I ever spent

If you don’t have fat there but you have the grooves instead I don’t think you should use anything with carnitine because it supposedly melts fat. I wouldn’t use it on your face unless you want to melt fat.
Hi Julie, I have both products and have used them for quite a while. I had never used for around the eyes but did see Anne's video and may start using the serum to lift the eye! I love the tube and agree, it makes the skin so soft and healthy looking. I use it in conjunction with my body brush and love the results. Looks like your "Nivea Mistake" turned out to be a Nivea win!!

I looked everywhere and couldn't find the Nivea Serum. I bought the Nivea Skin Firming & Toning Gel-Cream instead and I totally agree it's a wonderful product.
We can use all over our body.
Don't use the Nivea cellulite cream under eyes. Works too well, make my under eye hollow.
I've had this gel for some time now. I love it. It's light weight on the skin. Has a light fragrance and yes I do use it on my face & under eyes.

I also loved Ann Marie's video but I could not find the serum. I found the Nivia Firming Cellulite Gell with L-Carnitine. It wasn't what she recommended but I tried it on my eyes and on my entire face. It is amazing! It has given my facial skin it's firmness back and has geatly softened the harsh wrinkles on my checks, when I laugh. It has toned and reduced the wrinkles on my eyes, my forehead, my entire face, chin and greatly reduced the wrinkles on my neck! I swear it has also slightly plumped up my lips. I saw an immediate effect the first day. I apply it morning and night. Again, I'm talking about the Nivia Cellulite Gell. Use it ladies! And it has given firmness and softness back to the skin on my tummy, knees, thighs and butt. I love this product. Make sure you get the one with L-Carnitine.

I can’t buy that anymore. Do you know they might changed name of the serum, so what is the new name? I want to get one for under my eye. I heard that different name but same product.

Maybe is amazing it's probably the best skin cream and face stuff I've ever used and it's so cheap and I'm 45 years old

Hi Julie, I actually found you on Instagram and saw that you have a RUclips channel, I subbed to both and am looking forward to getting to know you through your videos. I have a channel as well, I will turn 50 next year. I haven’t tried the Nivea cream yet, but plan to, there are many varieties so it’s easy to pick up the incorrect product. Great video! I have been searching for this product since seeing a different video on it a few weeks ago...unfortunately I don't think it's available in this exact form in Canada :(
I've looked in 2 of our major drugstores (more than one location of one of the stores), WalMart, and several websites, and now today, I've searched Amazon Canada to no avail. I could order it from an American site, but we get dinged with "import charges" nowadays and they don't tell you how much that will be until it actually goes through Canada Customs Agency (frustrating!).
I have always had really good skin; I was lucky enough to have been advised at age 15 to use moisturizer & sunscreen daily, so I have been -- but in the last 2 years, stress has started taking a toll no matter how much stuff I use. With age 48 looming, I'm feeling very self-conscious about the suitcases I'm carrying under my eyes. I was using 2 AWESOME Avon products, one being the Anew Ultimate Eye Contour, which has an all-around eye cream, then a serum to apply over top, and the other one was from their Clinical line called Dual Eye Lift, with an upper-eye gel, and under-eye cream, but mine are almost empty and I'm not up for dropping almost $80 on new ones, so I was hoping to find something else to try.

Hi Erin! They have discontinued the concentrated serum and it is increasingly more difficult to find. Unfortunately, I haven't found any options to link at this point. Beware of putting carnitine on your face . I bought a Nivea night cream ( especially for the face ) with L-creatine and carnitine in it and it took most of the fat out of my cheeks 😧 permanently . Very upset about that because I had good fat in my cheeks ! So am now using facial flex to at least make the muscles look fuller in that area now
I wish I knew how to share my pictures with you I am not a beauty blogger but I follow them the larger bottle in your hand I have been using for 3 months and I'm going to tell you I have taken 10 years off of my neck and face it truly is wild how much it is changed my wrinkles I also use Retin-A I will continue to buy this absolutely one of the true products that works I do use it on my face in small amounts it is absolutely amazing

I’m glad I found your video, I made the same mistake and bought the wrong one, I realized it when I got home and took it out of the box. I guess I will try it on my neck and chest area as a special treatment for that area. I will have to go online and purchase the concentrated one as I can’t find it at any store.
Rosa Alba hi! I think a lot of us did! Unfortunately the manufacturer has discontinued the serum. Last I heard it could be found online at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Let's hope that Nivea starts producing it again!

Amazon still has it under Firming Goodby Cellulite 75 ml (2.5 ounce) serum for about $25. It comes from Germany. It is the same ingredients as the discontinued one in the concentrated form

Be very careful with this product I put it on my neck and had an awful reaction, itchy for days on end then tight dry flaking skin ... only organic coconut oil helped it recover!

Louise Topfer I had the same!! My skin was red, flaky and very itchy!! I also had a reaction on my eyelids. I never react to anything so this surprised me a lot. Somehow, I am glad I am not the only one 😉
Nuelle has a non-toxic version of this made with a ton of essential oils, coq10, and l-carnitine. Called cellulite cream. Might be a great option.

Its because of the amount of alcohol deter.
It's the 2nd ingredient in it. Which is very irritating and can dry out your skin and even cause breakouts..

I checked all links for the serum.....would you believe it's being sold on Ebay for $150.00!!!! Crazy!!! Hope that Nivea sees these comments and starts to produce it again...until then I'll be trying the gel-cream I guess!

I used the whole bottle on my bags, have not changed anything. I saw her video as well, used all of it, and no it doesn't work, so sad that it didn't do anything to my bags.

Guess what? The Serum does not hurt your eyes. I used it for several months even just under my brows and never had a problem. I don't believe that either of these products will hurt your skin, that's why I am going to give the gel a try. My skin is very sensitive, so if there is a problem it will show up
rapidly and I will simply stop using it. the problem is that online at any rate the Serum is over a hundred dollars. To heck with that.

I was a little distraught by missing the opportunity to try the serum so I wrote Nivea lol...I asked if they had left over stock and suggested if they sell it again, it was guaranteed to sell out. They suggested a different product with similar results that I ALSO couldn't find in stores :(

I made the same mistake, but, I had Q10 and l-carnitine left over some some face cream I made, so added them to some of the gel I had put in an airless pump jar. It worked great, so now I’m going to try to formulate my own eye gel cream. It’s so much fun having skincare as a hobby

If you look at the ingredients comparing these two it would indicate the amounts of q10 and l caretine are actually higher in the gel because the are higher up on the list....interesting.
lol. I did the same mistake and used the lotion on my eyes and my neck and my eyes look fabulous! I’ll continue using the lotion. Great mistake turned out great. I’m doing an experiment right now to put the lotion on my deeper face wrinkles. So will see!

I too made the same mistake. There is one more product in the same line, the Skin Firming and Smoothing Lotion which I have been using all over. The skin under my arms was starting to get spongy and the lotion firmed that skin right up!

Nivea has discontinued the Skin Firming & Smoothing Concentrated Serum, I've searched all over the internet, it's not available anywhere that I can tell; Amazon, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Wallmart, Walgreens etc.... Any ideas? Oh yeah someone is selling it on ebay for $97 orginal cost less than $12!!!

I bought the gel as well and used it all over my trouble areas, especially my eyes and mouth. This isn't as concentrated but i can already see a huge difference in my lines and wrinkles and on my thighs! I couldn't believe it. Im going to get the concentrated serum as soon as its back in stock!

The company has discontinued the serum concentrate. When I called they said DO NOT use it on the face or neck.
I bought it also and use on my upper legs bottom arms and stomach and love it.

OMG! I did the exact same thing. I had a gastric sleeve done, so I have tons of sagging skin... I don’t see a difference, but hey, since I bought it... will continue using it. Will be buying the consentrate on payday... does it work for you? You didn’t really say if you see a difference around your eyes

I'd like to try it, but just hope it's unscented. So many products have perfume in them that I react to.

You cant get the Skin Firming & Smoothing concentrated serum any longer. Nivea discontinued it (I'm lucky I have a bottle, and it is great, but cant buy anymore) 😓 Try the GOLD BOND neck & chest firming cream. I use it around my eyes and I really see a difference. I'll try the other Nivea one though too.

When I bought mine off eBay I compared it to the RUclips video so no mistake was made yay for me. Lol
I just watched Ann Marie and since the skin firming and toning (US version) is not sold most places except for about $200 on Ebay or is out of stock and possibly discontinued, Ann Marie did an update video encouraging subscribers to buy the gel to be used as a replacement, if they don't want to get the European version.

Veronique ... I’m now scared to use it on my face after having that reaction, after all it’s not meant for the face and I can’t even buy it in Canada ... that makes me nervous as our regulations are much tighter to protect the public ... I bought it from Amazon and paid $$$ for shipping.
Louise Topfer Canada has ridiculous regulations. Here we cannot get the one with carnitine that particular ingredient has been pulled off and put back on the shelf so many times it makes my head spin grrrrr

Hi Debbie! It makes your skin so smooth. I'm still not sure how effective the concentrated serum is around my eyes, but I've had no bad reactions. I think it may be helping a little with the puffiness. I'm going to keep using for awhile. I hope it works for you!
I absolutely love Nivea! Especially that gel, it honestly works. I use it twice a day. I get hospitalized a lot, and they always tell me how good I smell even when I'm in there awhile, sick as a dog lol. I've been using it for a couple of years, and the nurses always tell me I literally have tough sling lol. Now I want to try that serum!
