looooooool i can tell its fake just by looking. V.V;;; I'm saying this because I want to educate you about just how... wrong... this actually is.
That sort of wear and tear is usually the result of undissolved fertilizer that crusted on, or salts that may or may not be in your potting soil. It means you're giving your plants too much fertilizer and as a gardener that uses those pots all the time, honestly I don't find it desirable. I scrub my terracotta pots at least twice a year with dishsoap and water and urge everyone who does container gardens to do the same because it helps slow or prevent the spread of plant diseases and pests. To me I'd be scrubbing like hell to get it off thinking the pot could be carrying a plant disease. Likewise, I wouldn't use a mossy pot for my garden, I'd break it up with a hammer for drainage. Moss could be undermining the structural integrity of the pot itself! Its NOT desirable on your pots at all!!!!
And sealant!?!? 😱NAUGHTY!!!!!! YOU'RE RUNING THE POT BY SEALING IT!!!!! The reason you USE terracotta pots in the first place is because the porousness increases root growth in plants like basil, rosemary, mint, and cacti. You WANT the pot to be porous! That's the point of using terracotta!!!!! To me, these are instructions on how to ruin a perfectly good pot and tell all your neighbors that you don't take care of your equipment like you should!!!!!!
