Exactly what I was looking for after many failed searches. Seeing the proper way to play it is only half the battle for my learning brain, but this video is succinct, well presented, and wastes no time on getting to the core of this iconic song. In time and with lots of practice my hand movement will become more in tune naturally to this.
How is this not the top tutorial for this song?? Thank you, man. The main lick that everyone teaches was the only part I figured out on my own. I needed the other stuff that doesnt stand out so much.
Great lesson! Thank you. Everyone teaches the intro riff, but hardly anyone covers the rest of the song, and I'm pretty sure nobody else has covered it that accurately. My hat is off to you Sir!
I saw some recent Joe Walsh videos floating around, and figured I'd learn this song. However, I was lazy and didn't want to do it by tab, so I looked it up, watched a few videos and stumbled onto yours. Dude, the super easy format you lay it out in and not wasting time, and I got this down about as quick as the video was over. Great teaching style and video. Thanks a bunch.
I have been playing this song for years. This is by far the best lesson I’ve seen. Great job. Listen to the live version Eagles live from the Forum for a great way to play this song. Thanks mate👍👍👀🎸
I trans pose this and play it in the key. Of E. Cause I caint sing that high plus I play acustic. So I give it a bluesy sound. With more clean sound. However I never have been able to get that first riff changed over so this might help,,,
@@RealRockGuitar Sorry. My mother was born and raised in South Africa, but I still get South African and New Zealand accents mixed up unless it is a longer conversation. Cheers from Canada.

Totally agree!
Exactly!
That Strat! What a beauty! Great tutorial! Thanks for your time putting it together!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
By the way that Strat looks very nice
finally someone that teaches it correctly!
So many "how to play" videos speak to those who are just raw beginners.
As an intermediate player, this is perfect! Thank you!
Cheers Rob! Glad you found it useful.
This is the very best I’ve ever seen I have a question can you 15:04 show how to solo the main solo to peaseful easy feeling
Your solos are excellent any chance you may do the main solo to peasefull Easley feeling
I listened. I learned. I played and I loved it all. Thank you so very much mate. You are THE BEST!!!
Thanks Greg. Glad to have been able to help.

That guitar is so sick! What year model is it? Have you put all that wear on the frets? This is what a relic should look like1
Hi Tom. It's a 1978. Yes all the wear is natural. Just a few playing hours on it! 🤣
I really enjoyed watching this video. This lesson is easy to follow. Nice strat
Thanks! :)

Good tutorial, style, playing and presentation. Appreciate the effort. Great song. Thanks from Texas, USA.

Great lesson, it's going to take me a "few" times. TY
I like the recap at the end. I also like the way you are slightly aggravated to have to spoon feed this to everyone.
Thanks! 😄

Wow! Thanks so much for this! I have struggled with this since I first heard it. I get it now! Awesome tutorial.
Cheers Alan! ✌

Awesome man... great lesson.... the riff @13:00 is simple to fret, but the timing is extremely challenging. Thanks for a great video.

I don't know if it's a cultural thing, but anytime I hear a kiwi accent in a tutorial, I know I'm in good hands, hahaha.
:)
Kool sounds just like the record
Dude you nailed it!
It sounds badass on a stratocaster
Nice job…thanks!
You are the Aussie Joe Walsh! Thanks for this video!
Haha. Kiwi! 😉

Thanks man!
I have suscribed. Thanks. Very good
Great man!
Thanks!
Great lesson. You prefer high action or does it just look high on camera?
Thanks! Yes the action isn't super low. Makes it easier for bending.
Great job thanks
Cheers John
Excellent! Now where’s the rest of the song? You need part 2.
Do you want the solo's?
One look at that guitar and I KNEW this guy is a PLAYER.
Very nice

Thanks Georgia! Great to hear from you. Hope you're well. :)

@@RealRockGuitar what is the other guitar part? Harmony third/fifth or octave?
It's an octave, played starting at fret 12 on the D string.
I thought this guy was Bumblefoot for a sec.
The South African Joe Walsh.
