I LOVED THIS MOVIE! We watched it twice over the weekend on streaming and everyone in our family enjoyed it. Josh Hartnett was perfect for this role! It was his subtle eye twitch and smile that made it so convincing. Loved it to the very end. I learned about Saleka after watching the movie. That is really her music and I can't get over that was really her singing and playing piano in the movie. What a talent! Great work! Chef kiss to the TV at the ending.

Honestly looking forward to watching this. I also I kinda agree with M. Night's point about how most concerts in movies are shot. With the exception of gorilla style, a lot of concerts in films range from looking okay to this feels rather off.
The fact that we have wes Anderson,M.night shamalyin ,and Quinton tarantino is make film industry so exciting and diverse i love the fact that they have their creative freedom to do what they like and we get to enjoy it .

IKR! I came out of the movie singing ‘there’s a ghost in my house ‘ ..which is the piano warmup from Raven to a riveting scene 🎬! Enjoyed this movie . Much like the 90’s suspense /mystery/murder thrillers on tv . So glad it wasn’t a mega bloody mass body part gross out blockbuster

I like Josh and he would make a great Hitchhiker character in Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie. The movie was watchable but it was a weak plot. I can't believe anyone would invest money in this stupid script. Like i said if you shut of your brain its not to bad but they should have made it bloody if it was gonna be so weak in other areas.

Saw this today. It was a lot better than I expected based on the reviews critics were giving it. I'd give it like a 7.2/10. Some of the characters' actions didn't make sense, but other than that the film was really good.
I also didn't like how that rude host ignored her at the end by saying "M. Night Shyalaman always a pleasure... Josh" completely ignoring Night's daughter. So rude to mis gender her & then not even thank her during closing interview tbh.

The problem with an M. Night Shyamalan movie is. . .HIS FIRST MOVIE WAS A MASTERPIECE! With that said, "Trap" was far from a failure. IMO, the top 3 things about the movie were, 1. discovering Saleka Night Shyamalan! I'm buying that music! I loved every single song she sang; 2. the return of Josh Hartnett! Was that supposed to be a dad bod when he took his shirt off? Josh is like almost 50 years old. He could give Channing Tatum a run for his money as the next Magic Mike! 3. I love surprise casting. It was a hoot seeing Hayley Mills. As an African American, Sonya Massey shown being murdered by a cop in her own kitchen after calling the police to her home because she thought an intruder was outside her house, was devastating to watch. So, in the movie, when a serial killer is tased by 4 different cops, allowed to fiddle with a bicycle, then put in the back of a police van ALONE. . .I just thought. . .must be nice to have white privilege. Anyway, I digress. I'm glad that I saw it. It's worth the price of admission. I look forward to the next M. Night Shyamalan movie!
