One thing i noted is that in Chapter 2 when Adam died, Johnny's surprise was dull and inhuman, while when Kenshi gets brutally blinded (not killed) Johnny cried to him in a more natural, horrified and also genuine way. That means, Johnny Cage IS a terrible actor.
To be fair.. There's a difference between getting brutally hurt in real life (ironic because it's a video game) and dying in a movie. Of course an actor has to be genuine to look realistic but still.

My in canon universe reason for why Goro is shorter is when Liu Kang was remaking the timeline, he saw a small glimpse of Mortal Kombat Warner Brothers Universe. Then he saw your tier list on Scorpion’s revenge and battle of the realms and thought “Oh s-t, Goro is busted!!!!!” And was scared that if Goro were to somehow go back to the ways of his original timeline, then Goro would have bodied everyone. But in doing so, some unfortunate sacrifices were made, some very *CRITICAL* mistakes Also question, what is that card pack you have in “The Finger Cam Rant”
@@dylansharp8471 Because Goro’s issues aren’t as bad in comparison to Shao. Dude went from being the big bad of the series to just a minion for Shang Tsung and Quan Chi. While I do prefer Shang Tsung character and moveset wise, I also like and respect Shao as the series big bad, and was disappointed by him in MK1. It doesn’t help that he was given horns that look terrible on half his other costumes, especially the Union of Light costume.

The fact that the Sento conspiracy lasted nearly 33% of this video, is very telling of how SonicHaXD's mind is deteriorating by NetherRealm's quality storymode.
I can't believe you didn't bring up the fact that one of the ingredients for Shang Tsung's cure is Kytinn larvae. I couldn't help but laugh at that part while hoping that it was Devorah's children.

I really liked how they bamboozled us with trailers We saw a scene in Shang's laboratory with normal Mileena and Kenshi with 2 eyes We had a scene in Forest with blinded Kenshi (which many people predicted that Mileena will be the cause of it) and I at least assumed Mileena went full Tarkat and then we had the Parade scene when we saw normal Mileena with blinded Kenshi Back then we didn't know that she could control his disease with injections

I was diving into Unreal Engine 5 Sequencer recently and I've learned the concept of Spawnable Actors. If you make a Sequence (e.g.: cutscene or a single camera shot inside a cutscene as a part of larger sequence), actors marked as Spawnable are tied to it, they literally "live" in the cutscene and get destroyed when the cutscene or shot is over. This is great because your scene is not cluttered by all the characters and versions of thereof for the entire time you work on the cinematic (healthy Kenshi and blinded Kenshi would be separate characters, and same goes for healthy, sick and mid-transformation Mileena). You can also avoid pushing actors around to fit into planned camera angles, they just appear along with a sequence in right places in front of right cameras, which would look inconsequential in real world, but it works very well on-screen and is very clean in editor. My point is, they probably used the final version of playable Kenshi with Sento in kombat, that has nothing to do with Spawnable Actor in the Sequence, that no longer exists at this point of game's runtimie (they are very different objects in terms of underlying logic even though they look almost identical). Also, the Spawnables might be responsible for Tanya's body disappearance, since she just wasn't included in a shot and unconscious version of her was destroyed by the end of previous sub-sequence. As far as I'm concerned, nothing is pre-rendered now, everything is generated real-time by Unreal Engine, which is really cool :D
Honestly I dig that and plus: in her POV a bunch of guys who were INVITED came to disturb her cure and beat up her servants so yeah, I would probably get pissed
Mileena's split lower jaw could be a result of the Tarkat disease being constantly suppressed. Like, by letting it manifest and then suppressing it again, it could have caused irregularities that other Tarkat sufferers don't have. Also, I'd assume they left Baraka behind so they didn't have to address him witnessing a potential cure to his disease. Otherwise, they'd have to ignore it (leaving it for SonicHaXd and the4thsnake to tear apart) or include dialogue and reasoning as to why they don't attempt to treat Baraka. I mean, it stands to reason that his affliction is too far gone for Mileena's treatment to have the same effect it does on her, but Baraka would have definitely tried to get his hands on it. If not for himself, to try and help the others.
Maybe Goro is still younger as compared to MK9 and MKX, like *A LOT* younger. He probs still has a lot of growing up to do. That’s my reason, there could be a separate reason.
Its been 226 days since release of mk1 and sonic still hasnt complete these videos. I won't watch this series untill its completed, so, perhaps, i have to wait one more year to finally dive into it
I genuinely thought Goro's reduced stature/muscles in MKX was because he was older. He definitely looked like his face aged in that game which makes since considering the time skip that noticeably aged Liu Kang, Kung Lao (in their "what if" costumes), Johnny, Jax, and Sonya.
I like the part where NRS literally turn Kenshi into Vergil the moment Kenshi said "Where's your Motivation!" and has a Grab Brutality that where he does the Judgment Cut End.
I only knew of MK1 from the perspective of someone who plays Fighting Games, but I like channels like this one that show us all the nuances behind MK1. When broken down like this, NRS did a pretty good job adding all these cool details.
Me personally im fine with goro wearing armor, but i never noticed that goro was shorter then shao, also i hadnt really had a problem with him wearing pants bht it just looked kinda weird. Wouldve been better if he wore shorts instead

I feel you with the Goro changes. A character is more than just appearance, but the lore and journey of a character is what separates them. Goro no longer holding the prestige of being the Outworld champion, the effective "big boss" and the one who defeated the great kung lao, really does mean he is effectively a different character. While all of the characters were changed, in certain ways, for the sake of the new time line, the Goro change does pretty much remove his identity. It's the same name, (not really) the same appearance, but a hollow shell of a character.
You're right about Kenshi being people's favorite I liked him ever since deadly alliance cuz I thought it was so cool that ermac train them on how to use telekinesis and for Neitherealm to finally give him purpose that's cool.
My only complaint about this chapter is that they didn’t know exactly what Shang Tsung was doing. They just thought he was doing some kind of evil experiment on Mileena and go charging right at him without any hesitation or second thought. And I don’t wanna name any names here…but…Johnny really needs to think before he acts. I do like the Avatar segment at 9:49, though.😂
useless curiosity, this chapter and d'vorah chapter in mkx got the same enemies in the same order(baraka, rain, tanya, mileena) and d'vvorah race is mentioned in kenshi chapter
“you haven’t stopped him, you’ve just made him angry.” I though kenshi was just talking to himself, expressing that the fight isn’t over and Baraka just got angrier because he lost the first round.
One of my gripes about fighting games is the player as the character you’re playing as is on the left side every time during campaign/cutscenes. There’s so many instances where the opposing opponent(s) just walks around the the character to the right side of the screen even though they’re already on the left side of the screen to begin the fight. It might be a coding issue but Mileena should’ve started the fight on the left because her circling around Kenshi, as a flesh eating monster, instead of going in for the kill makes her look stupid.
You know, i have an idea for a Goro story. Maybe he somehow learns of his original timeline wins, gets an enormous ego boost, and decides to go fight Lu Kang (aka god), even though he knows he almost certainly will will lose, all because he wants to be like his midway counterpart.
I swear I need to play the entire story mode with descriptive audio on, I accidentally turned it on and when I was doing training mode the fatal blow animations started getting described as well and I was already crying and dying at that point

Mileena's split lower jaw could be a result of the Tarkat disease being constantly suppressed. Like, by letting it manifest and then suppressing it again, it could have caused irregularities that other Tarkat sufferers don't have.
Also, I'd assume they left Baraka behind so they didn't have to address him witnessing a potential cure to his disease. Otherwise, they'd have to ignore it (leaving it for SonicHaXd and the4thsnake to tear apart) or include dialogue and reasoning as to why they don't attempt to treat Baraka.
I mean, it stands to reason that his affliction is too far gone for Mileena's treatment to have the same effect it does on her, but Baraka would have definitely tried to get his hands on it. If not for himself, to try and help the others.

I genuinely thought Goro's reduced stature/muscles in MKX was because he was older. He definitely looked like his face aged in that game which makes since considering the time skip that noticeably aged Liu Kang, Kung Lao (in their "what if" costumes), Johnny, Jax, and Sonya.
Maybe, though Outworlders live longer then humans. So I don't think 20 years would affect him that much XD

I only knew of MK1 from the perspective of someone who plays Fighting Games, but I like channels like this one that show us all the nuances behind MK1. When broken down like this, NRS did a pretty good job adding all these cool details.

I feel you with the Goro changes. A character is more than just appearance, but the lore and journey of a character is what separates them. Goro no longer holding the prestige of being the Outworld champion, the effective "big boss" and the one who defeated the great kung lao, really does mean he is effectively a different character. While all of the characters were changed, in certain ways, for the sake of the new time line, the Goro change does pretty much remove his identity. It's the same name, (not really) the same appearance, but a hollow shell of a character.

You're right about Kenshi being people's favorite I liked him ever since deadly alliance cuz I thought it was so cool that ermac train them on how to use telekinesis and for Neitherealm to finally give him purpose that's cool.

My only complaint about this chapter is that they didn’t know exactly what Shang Tsung was doing. They just thought he was doing some kind of evil experiment on Mileena and go charging right at him without any hesitation or second thought. And I don’t wanna name any names here…but…Johnny really needs to think before he acts.

useless curiosity, this chapter and d'vorah chapter in mkx got the same enemies in the same order(baraka, rain, tanya, mileena) and d'vvorah race is mentioned in kenshi chapter

I though kenshi was just talking to himself, expressing that the fight isn’t over and Baraka just got angrier because he lost the first round.
One of my gripes about fighting games is the player as the character you’re playing as is on the left side every time during campaign/cutscenes. There’s so many instances where the opposing opponent(s) just walks around the the character to the right side of the screen even though they’re already on the left side of the screen to begin the fight. It might be a coding issue but Mileena should’ve started the fight on the left because her circling around Kenshi, as a flesh eating monster, instead of going in for the kill makes her look stupid.

You know, i have an idea for a Goro story. Maybe he somehow learns of his original timeline wins, gets an enormous ego boost, and decides to go fight Lu Kang (aka god), even though he knows he almost certainly will will lose, all because he wants to be like his midway counterpart.
I swear I need to play the entire story mode with descriptive audio on, I accidentally turned it on and when I was doing training mode the fatal blow animations started getting described as well and I was already crying and dying at that point
