I use the iPhone XS alongside my Note 10 (that I recently traded in from a One Plus 7 Pro)
I have never once thought I would “die” if all I had was the Android and I often just have two android phones if I am not using an iPhone
It’s quite silly to say, “a superior iPhone to an inferior Samsung”
Like as if all iPhones are automatically superior to all samsungs

A lot of RUclips's who is doing this phone camera review is forgetting about the hdr10+ feature for doing videos.
Absolute madness the variety of options, tweaks and general settings the Ultra gives you. That mic zoom really impressed me and I'm still blown away by the level of zoom on a smartphone. Can't wait to get mine on the 10th.
The Verge and other reviews say the camera has some real issues, so be ware.

Why is it when something negative is said about a Galaxy phone they’re automatically labeled an isheep? That is so childish, and to think I’ll be associated with that nonsense when I switch back to Android...damn. Someone’s opinion doesn’t change anything, and Samsung does put things out needing updates, but they DO update them. Stop saying its a lie when YOU don’t have it!

Great cameras! Very impressed with the quality of all cameras, but mostly on the front-facing one. For the zoom, up to 30x is fine to use.

I preordered it while ago and i was excited, but after watching this it made me more excited, especially knowing that it has the HDR10 mode which is pretty awesome.

It's hard to see true full quality when steaming at 1080 on youtube.
30x and even 100x Zoom seem to look SIGNIFICANTLY better on high-contrast images. Just look at 11:22..
Finally, a techtuber that actually understands videographer, the angles, the HRD10
,color grading and trying to give us (videographers) a real life view of how the phone performs.
The rest just talk gibberish with no real substance.
The 100x zoom is definitely a "weekend-category", cool to show off but not that useful for actual pictures.
Overall, looks like the great quality cameras we've come to expect, although for vlogging I really wish there would be a better microphone. Especially since the Rode VidMic is no longer an option without headphone jack.
Also, I have no idea where that place is or what the building is called, but I love it a lot, reminds me of certain color-blindness glasses.

@@standopowah Rode has a VideoMic Me, which is a little shotgun mic that you can connect to you phone via the headphone jack.
Of course of you want the best quality you'll go with a DSLR with extra mic, but with the quality that a phone like this offers, it's much less expensive to just add a mic to your phone if you want to vlog occasionally, but have great audio

What do u expect from 100x zoom in a phone.....search on RUclips for 100x zoom on DSLR and how far smartphone has come
@@nrnayem5028 It has come a far way, although I still believe it to be a "weekend-category".
Like, you'll show it off to your friends and it's pretty neat. However with the stabilization issues and low resolution, I would not see myself using it on the regular for taking important photos.

The zoom in mic is just like gta with a sniper

8K isn't that well stabilized for walk-around vlogging. I'd prefer to record in 4K with HDR10+ and grading the footage later.
Edit: HDR10+ combined with pro-video mode on this phone sounds like serious video chops for content creators

Just use the Filmic PRO app, not the crappy Samsung camera app...
HDR video capture in the S20 ultra is just a beta... It even says so in the official site.

I'm looking at the vlog from front camera in 4K but on a smartphone (small screen) and I basically can't tell the difference between this and a professional VLOG camera.
Your taking ads to the quality. I might be able to tell the difference if I watch this on a big screen but this is great

OMG best camera review as of today for the S20. You know what Joshua Vergara, I've seen lots of camera reviews of the S20 but you are the only one who highlighted the HDR video where it makes flat colored videos so that filmakers or vloggers can color grade it! Anyway The Mahal kita is very cute. Wish you both good luck.

Thank you for the real world review, just got my Ultra yesterday after upgrading from a S8+. I feel like there is a lot to love and great flexibility after spending some time with the camera.

Ultra looks bad. Yes there are MPs with details in still pics but in practice it looks like a glorified midranger.
@@BPosey tbh who would even use the zoom feature that much? they made that as a marketting strat. Even without 100x zoom or 10x zoom, the phone itself is still brilliant.

The Buds have improved significantly on the mic front BUT there’s no way you can use them on a vlog recording
I've seen the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra on video after video after video and this phone gets more amazing every time I watch it on a video I just have to say W😲W absolutely a brilliant phone Samsung literally blew it out of the water with this one the camera quality is insane the performance of the phone is insane mind-bl🤯wing anyway nuff respect to Joshua Vergara👊🏽 for another dope video keep it up

I use phones alongside my DSLRs on shoots and gesture triggers are very important especially when using a tripod
It is always hit and miss but the phone’s reactions every time Josh gestured were just perfect every time
I mean, looks like the remote trigger with the Note 10 pen may be irrelevant
I think Samsung made those different levels of zoom with concert culture in mind

That's Crazy. The LG V30 shot in LOG in 2017.
He did a great job showing actual details of the phone. But just to let people know. The zoom after 10x works for things far away up to 30x before it's gets grainy. But if you use it for items close already then it gets grainy faster.

Were you using the S20 Ultra’s mic @ around 7:30 ? It sounded really good to me, but also noticed you had the Buds in. So wasn’t sure if you used the phone’s mic, the buds mic, or a separate mic all together.

What was the case you had on it? Black and white. It looks quite funky.
Video was done well and I actually learned something more about that phone. All these videos are all the same which is weird since no one ever even tries to switch the wording up. Anyway. Good video and I've never seen an Asian with freckles in my life. Keep up the good work
Did u get the new update before this video?
I am seeing the side effects of EIS trying to remove micro-jitters. It is in other videos too and in both front and main camera units. I believe Samsung got rid of those before, and now they are back!
P.s. I have not seen those side-effects, including the jello-effect in recent mid-range handsets from other low-cost brands.

Sweet vid and great music choices JV! Cameras are looking great with a few exceptions like the overdone HDR for the bench photo. Videos sometimes focus or IS jitter. Would appreciate your thoughts of this as a people/portaits camera when you get the chance.

Re: the 100x zoom , one of the problems with such a huge zoom is light and atmospheric conditions have to be absolutely perfect , even having the camera on a tripod you can still get small vibrations coming though the ground, and air movement can also effect your shot.
Still handy to have though.
i notice a lot of light blure when taking night photo from street lighting. its there any setting to get around this?
