I'm in college and I have had nightmares about math. I avoided math over and over until it was unavoidable. But I found "Yay Math" and I started out watching your Algebra 2 videos last semester which helped me pass my math class and now I'm going to start Statistics. Thank you...you have helped me so much!
i need the answer for this question below. Car color preferences change over the years and according to the particular model that the customer selects. in a recent year, 15% of all luxury cars sold were red. if 50 cars of that year and type are randomly selected, find the following probabilities: 1.At least five cars are red 2.At most six cars are red 3.more than four cars are red 4.Exactly four cars are red 5.Between three and five cars (inclusive) are red
my teacher has worn the exact same clothing every single day since i saw her. She's nice but man, it's brutal lol. She kind of reminds me of a cartoon character who never changes their outfit lol
In a mathematics test, the average score of Bobet and Allen is 92, the average score or Allen and Aaron is 87 while the average of Aaron and Bobet is 83. Find the score of each boy.
Wait...so at 16:52 I thought we were just concentrating on the outcomes of the red Jacks.... from the three types of facecards. Or were we using all the cards?
I was wondering about the odd numbers including the ace problem. I was wondering why it is not 24 over 52 because you have 20 odd number in the deck but then I thought you were also suppose to include counting the 4 aces as well but you guys have it as 20 over 52. Please check the problem.
You are a great teacher and I do like your method and style of teaching but your students are extremely annoying and made it almost impossible to hear and enjoy it. Maybe in the next video you can just do them without an audience.

His teaching techniques were good. But, i did not however like that part where he made fun of middle eastern's. What was the whole point of that? And than the annoying British kid said "yalla" which really made it about arabs! Grow up
Thank's a lot for this videos their helping me a lot I'm a college student and this really help's me remember things that I have forgotten over the years.
The income of the group of 12000 person were found to he normally distributed with mean Rs. 520 and SD RS. 60 Find (1) the number of person having income between Rs. 400 and 500 (2) the lowest income of the richest 500.
a computer lab has 30 computers. each of the computers has 90% chance of working. if a class of 30 students are taken in to the lab, what is the probability that 25 students will get working computer?
I am a college student at Mendocino and statistics is my last class :) I saved the best for last! At 50 I am really struggling to keep up with the young whipper snappers, and I do find myself once again locked in that same old memory of OMG what is going here? Thank you for making it fun and breaking it down with simplicity! I got a D on my first test, which was so noisy with static that when I tried to make a melody out of it, I got lost in all the frequencies of chaos! That is how I see math sometimes when I am rushed through a lesson! £OV€s
A pharmaceutical company receives large shipments of aspirin tablets. The acceptance sampling plan is to randomly select and test 30 tablets, then accept the whole batch if there is only one or none that doesn't meet the required specifications. If a particular shipment of thousands of aspirin tablets actually has a 5% rate of defects, what is the probability that this whole shipment will be accepted? n = 30 p = 0.05 q=1-p = 0.95 is this Bionom pdf( n p q)?
Yay. Thank you for this. It's very helpful. I'm this 👌 close to withdrawing from my stats class right now, it's super frustrating. I found your videos & decided to keep trying. Thanks for posting this. Appreciated.
WHy do i need school if there's youtube?! Thank you for this, sir.. You teach better than my sensei. They don't even explain properly how to get stuff like this like that.
I am a bit stuck on a problem similar to the ones shown in this video. What is the probability of throwing two dice in one toss so that they total 11? The way the answer is explained is a bit confusing. The test says you should simplify list all the possible combinations resulting in 11 (5+6 and 6+5) and "realize" that the total possibilities are 36 (6x6) thus the probability equals possibilities totaling 11 over total possibilities = 2/36=1/18 The you should "realize" part assumes I understood what they meant. If you could point me to a video of yours or think I should re watch this one to solve this problem let me know. Thank you.
I realize this is a late response but if you were to list all the possibilities in a 6x6 grid. like so www.chrisbeales.net/environment/consequences_probability%20dice.html From there, you see where they equal 11, so out of 36 combinations, there are only 2 that would have 11 as an outcome. 2/36=1/18
I don't understand the fundamental counting principle of how you get the two's over the outcomes. What are the categories and arrangements? I understand answering the question on the board of: What is the probability of both heads! I see that clearly it is 1/4 and I understand how you got the 4 possible outcomes of flipping the dice. Shouldn't there be four outcomes since you are flipping two dice 4 times? I know this is obvious to most people but I have an autistic mind and I need to have things communicated literally step by step with no assumption that I understand. I sure with a help full tip from someone it will click in my mind. I'm sure it is obvious but I just can't get it now. I have watched the video three times. Maybe there is another video I should have watched first.
Because there are two possible outcomes each and every time you flip a coin. (These aren't fractions; you shouldn't divide the second outcome by 2.) I'm not sure why you're talking about dice, but let's use that example instead. What's the probability of rolling a 12 with 2 dice? Well, in order to roll a twelve, both die would have to land on 6. There are 6 different outcomes for both die: Each have a chance to land on 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6. Therefore, we multiply 1/6 x 1/6 (or 6 over outcome 1 times 6 over outcome 2). You'll find that the answer to my problem is 1/32 (6x6) (or 32 possible outcomes).
If there is 9 numbers there are 5 odd numbers out of the 9 so 5 times 4(different types of numbers) then you get 20 and plus 1 ace times 4 you get 24 so how did you get 20.
You make math look fun, unlike the other people in my campus.

I don't think this is a sentence.
Lmao. No one cares.
lol the average nerdy guy in the class at 10:05. Why do teachers always seem so annoyed when students ask questions?

Too silly. I sure hope classrooms are not run like this these days.
I sure hope parents abandon kids like you these days
The British guy needs to shut up; he makes the video almost impossible to watch. I like your videos, and your enthusiasm for teaching.
Which guy?? Give me a timing
Arka Roy 2:09 mins the British guy is hell annoying.
Yes. People like him give me extreme anxiety in class. Def couldnt finish the video.
agree
god please help me to understand everything about this,BTW my exam is tommorow so wish me luck.
Damn, ,wish you were my teacher, you make it all so easy and understandable! Thanks for uploading!
That British kid....
needed to shut the hell up.
Amazing. Wish you were my teacher.
You make its very easy to undestand! You are a Fabulous Teacher. Thank you for uploading!
Right now I feel like I can predict the probability of me winning a slot machine 🎰

thanks a lot.....plz never stop doing this
wish i had a high school teacher like you, what a lively class. Not the long hours of scare I use to go through haha
I somehow watch every minute of yay math videos. Loud kid needs to be more quiet. Keep up the great videos!
I hate Statistics, " I have Statistics phobia" but you make it funny and easy to understand !
its so hard to understand with all the kids screaming in the camera
You are right, I wonder what why so much noise?

I always cringe whenever he jokes.
Until now I don’t understand this. Why did he skip the first couple of boys and girls but then counted the 3rd one? I’m so confused.
2:36 did that kid just say damn in front of the teacher? yo wtf.
You made it very fun👌

Help! I need more stat videos! And, pronto, I'm in Stats right now(spring) and it is not going so well with my professor!
My math teacher wore a South Park tie before
Why can't you just be my math teacher? Great, informational videos btw!
You know, I'm usually really good at math but probability problems I never seem to get it, I guess it is just me :(
I wish my maths prof was this cool 😫
14:24 I’m confused on this part
There are 1 diamond on every sets of 13 cards right ? And there are 4 sets total
So wouldn’t it be 4/52 ???
thank you sir, your videos are really helpful. i request you to make other videos some what fast. thanks
We are studying this on grade 10 highschool, why they like collage?
It’s actually 33.333333333.....%
I am not a card player so am lost
in probability 1 is equal to 100%???? am I right????
Yes.
thank you so much! i was always afraid of probability and i finally understood it.
yay math is hang loose
What a Fantistic teaching method.. I loved that ... Good Job sir
this is so great .. thanks

I don't understand when you write 2 over outcome 1 and 2 over outcome 2
Excellent examplination... big hi from Doha Qatar...
at 3:28 why doers both outcome one and 2 have 2 possibilities?
This is too easy
If there is 9 numbers there are 5 odd numbers out of the 9 so 5 times 4(different types of numbers) then you get 20 and plus 1 ace times 4 you get 24 so how did you get 20.
there is ace,3,5,7,9. thats 5 odds. all up there are 20 suits. not very hard
zev piro
Yeh?
hubris you double counted Ace
Excellent teacher, but is very distracting with the noise of the students. Sorry I pass...student need to be less cockee!
Wow, 2018 is nothing like 2013
"Fun"
Cool
amazing lesson, helped me catch up in my class :)

Why did you multiply it by half?
seems like he is a great teacher.
me watching this in 7th grade
Whr is statistics in this video?
a wonderful class to be
