  • Here we see the people of Newbrough (Northumberland) celebrating the Queen's Silver Jubilee of 1977. It seems most of the village has turned out for the event as far as I can gather, which I assume was held on the cricket/recreation grounds.
    No credits appear with this apparently amateur footage. However, the skill in photography evident here suggests that whoever did the filming was not an amateur I think.
    This is frame by frame digitised from the original Kodachrome 16mm film footage at a resolution of 2048x1152.

    Great quality, and I think I recognise the lad third from the left at 3:10. His name's Matt (if I'm right) but he was always known as "Bev" and he worked for years at Bowman Motor Factors in Fourstones and Hexham.
