Kid is brilliant for sure. I heard once that he was in therapy and his therapist said “you should do comedy”...can you imagine Chrissy’s therapy sessions? Bananas 🍌
In a more serious interview he said the thing you had to know about his father was that wherever he was and whomever he met, he was the most liked person around. Even in his ex-wife's tony neighborhood he knew everybody, more people than she knew, and they all loved him. People are complicated. As for the skit about this that he did in a comedy club, I think his father probably lost God for what he did, not for what was done to him.
I got hit a fair amount of times when I was a child, looking back I’m genuinely happy that my dad did that. Many will say it shows the parents in capabilities to use words but the truth is if the hitting is moderate and just as in you did something wrong so you got a just punishment. And it might just be me but getting hit built a new sense of dignity, integrity and respect that is still instilled in me to this day. Lessons that I will always remember sitting down talking to my dad after he hit me, and him explaining to me, it shaped my morals and made me a man not in the sense of oh I got hit a lot so now I’m a man but in a emotional level aswell being able to show empathy. I know that as long as there are people on the world there will always be those who dislike hitting, but for me it can make a better person
He admits a lot of the stuff he jokes about his father in an interview, is ACTUALLY about guys his father hung OUT with in Brooklyn . His dad was never a wise guy but his friends were
Please go and search his stand-up, the story is better told in his show, is so hilarious and I pretty sure you gonna delight, thrust me (Chris distefano's 9/11 story)
Here’s the link ⇩ to Chris telling the whole story onstage in NYC on the anniversary of 9/11. He mixed vodka with an antihistamine so he’s a little crazy, but it makes it even better. ruclips.net/video/LM0V_m3N7I0/видео.html
He tells this so much better on 9/11, after a vodka soda & an antihistamine.
Keto guido
That 911 bit was so good

"Ain't nothin Chinese ever gonna take me down." - Chrissy D's dad on coronavirus
Red, White, and Blue.
His dad is a straight up OG that pulled a goodfellas, the godfather mob boss power move. Straight legend.
Definitely, thought of goodfellas
Bronx Tale - Bar Scene
Maybe seen more than there is but, Chris knows how to tell a story in the right tone for the occasion, he's an intelligent dude
He has a doctorate degree of course he’s smart

You are so so right. He’s mirroring the tone in the room and making the story suit that tone!
You either get smart in New York or you die, well now they just turn out stupid Democrats but oh well I guess
Wow, a story so good the Aceman didn't interrupt.
RIIIIIGHT?!
he did interrupt.... "wait a second"
He said the kid never pressed charges but was supposed to. I wonder how that negotiation went lol

I imagine his dad is Joey Diaz
Haha I did too!!!
Joey Diaz is a fat Puerto Rican not an Italian wise guy ... so makes no sense
Anthony Benardo Cuban. He means more the attitude and the way he talks
Similar! Old guidos
@@TNYC_728 cuban, dummy
This is the kind of man that made America great in the first place
A lowlife that threatens people when their lowlife child hits some kid with a chair?
Yeah you can’t disrespect a father like that in front of his kids. That’s just asking for problems 😭
Chrissy D's dad was definitely a top dog bookie
Big Tony Ballz!
Who says violence doesn’t solve anything?

Ok we believe you, but is this really an appropriate place to ask people to thrust you? I mean this is youtube, not GRNDR.

Hey , Carrolla is looking pretty good for his age.
Funny that you said that. Now I ain't no mo mo but I was watching his show the other day and thought to myself he has aged very well. Peace out.
Carolla really ruined the end of this story
My question is :
Where the hell is that kid that you put in a coma after all these years ?
How did he get the parents or the other kid to drop the charges?
Chis…. Are YOU my Fucking Brother?
The way things should be handled.
How do you zone out of this story?? Like bruh wtf
His Dad is G
Fuckin adam, sorry i tuned out in the middle of an excellent story, completely throwing off the momentum.
I miss Gina. She was a solid side chair.
tf he mean by his girl name wtf 😭
Chris/Christopher masculine and Chrissy/Christie Feminine
Bros lying thru his teeth 😅😅😅
Glorifying his dad's bullsh like this is actually funny behavior...his dad is/was a criminal.
Cool adam Corolla ruining your guests story by making some dumb unfunny irrelevant comment…. nicely done.

🧢 idc who your father is. He would’ve put his hands on me. That would’ve been the last time he threatened someone
Sure, I bet you'd be on the ground, bleeding out from a knife wound.
Tough façades don't work in the real world, chump.
Sick of his dad being a badass bit. Not cool not funny
Shit story😂
Never happened
This is late night talk show material, not shitty podcast. No offence
