    @17:30 I really hate that Honda decided to go away from the industry standard, and changed their switchgear to where the horn button is now above the turn signal switch. My 2010 VFR1200F DCT had this arrangement, which made "some" sense, as the left switchgear also housed the manual + & - gear selection buttons---the left switch pod was busy. But, for people who own multiple motorcycles, of different brands, this makes handling a modern Honda anything but intuitive. p.s.--great review Kate!

    • @RawTopShot
      @RawTopShot 2 года назад +2

      Totally get what you're saying!
      Years on a CB500 and RC36 VFR750, the first time I test rode anything remotely modern (NC700S, VFR1200 and the 1200 crosstourer model) it totally freaked me out and gave an instant annoyance, that on a short test ride of each I couldn't shake.
      The one time you wish Honda hadn't thought "WHAT IF...."

    • @thumperjdm
      @thumperjdm 2 года назад +2

      Yup. One of the bikes I highly anticipated was the new-for-2013 CB1100. I immediately bought one (the ABS version) and only put a few thousand miles on it. Although it was a beautiful bike, and well-made, I found it quite boring to ride. The suspension was fine, and the power output was okay, but the engine just had no character--it was like riding a very smooth sewing machine. Of all the Honda's I've owned, the one I wish I had back was my burgundy/silver 2008 CBR1000RR---stunning to look at, and a hoot to ride!

    Very nice vid Kate you are so polite toward the bicycling people. If I may a have a question, when you are test riding a “big bike” with 1000 CC why are you testing it on a country lane instead of a highway? The upside is we can hear you saying it handles very well on a bumpy twisty road so that’s nice. You don t test it on a highway, is that because everyone can ride very fast in a straight line😀 big thumbs up for this one👍🇳🇱

      Hey, it's the Oxford Mondial suit. They do a mens version which my partner Mike wore on our NC500 vlogs. It's a brilliant suit and it's never leaked on me once!

      @@Maverick-moto Same on my CB650R. Springs are weak, they're relying on compression damping to handle hard braking. Downside is every single sharper bump goes right into your arms...

      @Maverick-moto 11 месяцев назад

      @@233kosta I had the front end resprung for my weight by Maxton back in the summer and the internals modified to reduce compression damping.
      I also fitted a Maxton rear shock, again to match my weight. It’s now pretty sorted, but you’re spot on.
