I wear the trousers in my house too, the good lady just tells me which pair! 😂
Had a chance to demo a 765 RS and it’s easily one of the best motorcycles ever made. Trying to get away from naked bikes on my next one but it was making me rethink that haha. Enjoy it!
Oops 🙈😂 I highly recommend Keis heated clothing Dave, I have done a vid on mine. Game changer 👍
Lovely bike. Roll on Summer and hopefully the end of all this rain.😊
Beautiful bike, Dave! Thanks for taking us along.
Cheers mate. 🙏
Try the comfort settings for the suspension, from the handbook. They improve the ride without impacting the handling too badly. I'm running mine on comfort settings and also did the same on my old 675r I had before. 😊
I meant to say don't forget the motorcycle shop is only open monday to friday hahahaha At least the bike got some excersise haha
went from a vfr to a suzuki gsxs 1000gt and I'll never go for a bike without cruise control again, i feel your pain 😂
It doesn't seem to be noisy on the motorway. Lovely motorcycle.
Consider Chinmounts for the Helmet Camera. Love the bike!
Weirdly I just bought one. I have it fitted but haven’t ridden out yet. 🙏🏍️
Glad it's everything you hoped for. I get my RS on the 7th March ❤
The camera quality at speed is amazing compared to some other Bike vloggers using GoPros albeit older versions. The pixel quality suffers zero denegration at high speed on the forward view. Certainly confirms your choice in moving away from GoPros. ME thinks you need some heated clothing Dave! There is nothing worse than being cold on a bike, it slows down your body movements, especially the fingers. Be well, ride safe and keep em coming.👍
Cheers Trev! 🙏
Hi Dave greetings from the Isle of Man love the channel I have had my R/S since July last year and love it my one criticism was the harsh suspension, found a suspension specialist here on the Island and had it set up to suit me highly recommended transforms the bike something for you to think about getting done cheers
Nice to see you loving the STriple so much Dave - I miss my old one and I must admit the thought of having another in the garage has crossed my mind....great machines. Oh and love the fact the bike shop was shut, that's the sort of ride out I do....
🤣 Like I say, it’s all about the journey. Have a great weekend man.😉
Owned the first generation Street Triple and loved it. It was the same as yours in its own weather cloud. Everything was filthy after even a short ride in the wet. Had to soften the back end of mine as well, although at 5'6" and 11st I'm probably a bit lighter than you!
You and your new bike compliment each other. A great choice.!! I agree that S W Motech gets a premium price for their products. If I had only bought their stock 5 bikes ago I'd would have made a fortune., but they sure do make super quality items. I can't thank them enough for doing their research and developement. Also, thank you for entertaining me every Saturday morning. You and Andy are my favorites. 👍👍5🏍🙋♂️
Many thanks for your kind words John. Appreciated mate. 🙏🏍️
Good first ( proper) ride review Dave . As for rear hugger extender Pyramid Plastics do one but only in matte black not carbon . Might be worth a look .
Thanks Ian, I’ll check them out. 👌🏍️
Nice video 📹 Dave...glad the bike is ticking all the boxes! Now, if you had a heated jacket or gilet you would be toasty on the bike...nag nag...😂! Cheers Steve
🤣 Cheers Steve. I keep thinking Spring is around the corner and that I won’t need one. But I might just pull the trigger on one.
Breakfast with Dave again. It has been nippy in the mornings the last few days. Best of Luck on the new bike.
Cheers John. 🙏👌
Subscribed to you channel after seeing you live on The Peaky Bikers midweek mumble live. My uncle got his mudguards from a company called The Carbon King. Trioumph Scrambler Let me know if you don't have any luck as got loads of contacts off line in the biker world. Love your bike. my very first bike I ever bought brand new was yellow, It was only a TS 50 though but thats how my biking jurney began. Hope you do not get into to much trouble if your wife sees this video hahaha Like the micro tank bag!
Thanks for the sub, shame I had to leave the ‘live’ early due to my terrible WiFi. I’ll check out the Carbon King. 🙏
Have you considered removing the 10mm spacer in the rear suspension? Making the riding position a little more upright and comfortable? I think it's 10mm anyway. Since you mentioned your position was a bit forward and the rear was raised over the R to make it more aggressive.
Well Dave, easy to get caught out as you'd be thinking Tuesday to Saturday opening times as with most bike shops lol.
I actually headed over there to maddocks at lunchtime on Thursday on the bike for same reason.
Picked up the pro micro sw motech vag and tank ring(which i pre ordered)for the Tuono v4 1100.
Headed back home just in time for the rush hour traffic northbound on m50.
Going on tge bije is a gift though, just filtered the whole way and home in no time👍
Yeah I can’t tolerate the M50 in a car anymore especially after being there on a bike. 🤭
@@WheelieGoodTV I'm the very same,it's no problem on the bike but nightmare in the car😆👍
I’m thinking about buying one of these to compliment, my Ducati Diavel V4, I’m dying for you to do a test drive to compare. As always, even when you get it wrong, you make it an enjoyable video. As for the sound quality, amazing.
Cheers mate.. lucky boy with a Diavel as well. 👍🏍️
Reviewing my bikes I obviously have a multiple personality issue. Here In Canada I have a R1250 RT and an S1000 R. I don;t know if I am a hooligan or California Highway patrol... Like you I have a big solo tour all booked. UK to Cappadocia in
Turkey and back. I'll film it and try to learn from you. @@WheelieGoodTV
Shame about the wasted journey Dave ! It is a stunning bike I must admit 😄😄
Never a wasted journey on that thing. 🤗
Great video Dave as usual,I have the aprilia RS660 in acid gold just like your previous bike.can I ask how do they compare ,do you miss the aprilia in anyway or is the triumph an all round better bike as I’m quite taken with it myself and I can’t justify having 2 in the garage
Ooh that’s the million dollar question.🤯 I’ll put it simply, with the RS660 I had to find an excuse such as a video to make to go out and ride it. With the Triumph, I wake up every morning and check the weather to see if I can go and ride it.😍 it’s all subjective of course but the Triumph excites every nerve in me. Saying that, the 660 is a brilliant bike!
Can’t believe it was closed😩You should have tipped just another 30 mins down the road to Brittas bay beach, beautiful place for a quick ramble
Yes it is nice there. The heavens opened as soon as i left so I just needed to get home quick. 🤗
It’s closed 😢😅😅. Made a good vid thought. Another spin required
All done and dusted. And tank bag fitted. 🤗👌
I know you know this, but it’s always good to be reminded, never let yourself get cold riding a bike, it’s when the accident happen. Hard to control a bike well, or as well when you are shivering Said the hypocrite who almost rode from Roblin, Manitoba to Kelowna BC, Canada in a day. One day, when I buy you a Murphys, I’ll tell you about it. 😉
That shop looks cool look foward to follow-up, have you considered getting a heated jacket I hear they are a game changer and hearing you shivering i think you should look into them !
Yes someone recently commented about a Keis heated vest. I must do that before next winter. 🥶
@@WheelieGoodTV “bike like Mike” did a recent video about a month ago about keis heated vest worth a look !
I bought the Gerbing heated jacket and gloves at Christmas. The jacket is very nice tailored fit and stylish. Can be worn as casual jacket.
This stuff is a game changer, now I'm looking for low temperature days just to get out on the bike with the heated gear😂
@@turloughnolan9838 lol that’s great to hear, yes when I heard him shivering I though, why wait, it’s only money can’t take it with you 🤣 I haven’t got a bike yet but will be getting back into biking in 2024 and a heated jacket and gloves definitely is on the list
FBR carbon do an extended hugger for the Street Triple.👍
Thank you, I’ll check this out. 🙏
Love the beautiful roads and infrastructure in the South.
Sadly our roads in the North and in the rest of the UK have been neglected because we apparently left Europe 😅 😅
If the roads get any worse up here in Antrim, I'm buying a Scrambler 😅
Hopefully now you have a government again, the roads will get some attention mate. 👌😉
@@WheelieGoodTV Those Clowns 🤡 🤣 couldn't run a message 🤣 NO Dave, the whole of the UK has potholes, dirty road signs, Zero road and drain maintenance, the mainland is under water because of zero drain maintenance but they blame it on Climate change which l call Climate Tax .
The UK is run by Europe NOT London so we're being punished for saying Leave 🙄
Politics eh 🙄 nasty business.
Ride Safe
Nothing gets spent on UK roads and the rest of our infrastructure because we're too busy spending money helping the rest of the World.
dji mic 2 or wire mic you have in that video ?
Apols, I actually can’t remember. 🤯 I’m experimenting with both at the moment as I can’t stand the delay in connection with the Mic 2.
It's hard to tell if you like the bike 😂 Can you get the cruise control added as its listed as an accessory?
🤣 yes mate, I can get one fitted as an afterthought but it needs to ‘switched on’ by a dealership computer.
The mudguards (or lack of) on modern motorcycles are ridiculous. Definitely a case of form over function. I mean what is the point of getting covered in krap every time it rains? 🤔
My thoughts exactly 👍
