This video gave me hella throwbacks, I acted just like you and thought the same things. But trust me when I say this- ENJOY the beginner feeling, the new experiences and everything that comes with it. Because you will miss that feeling one day. It's just something very special about it. Broooooo, you brought me back to 19 years old buying my first '03 Suzuki SV650S with underfairings. Getting on the highway was the scariest thing I had done to date. Learn to be predictive and proactive, and not reactive. Put an exhaust on it to be heard, not for any other reason. Loud Pipes Saves Lives. Be safe, ride hard brother! Congrats on your purchase!

I got the same 450ss as my first bike this year. This really remind me of my first ride home. Don’t know how to fuel, going 30 miles and thinking I am going too fast, stays in the second and third gear almost entire trip because I panicked. Mine was shorter ride though. This bike is super fun, and powerful. I hope you safe and have fun on this bike.

I just took my first "traffic" ride the other day. I had been doing a lot of neighborhood and parking lot stuff but figured it was time to ride with traffic. I will say that I didn't have near the balls that you did by jumping into the deep end just a day or so after my MSF. I bought a used bike and had a buddy test ride it and drive it back to my house for me. I have to ride on a parkway to go anywhere from my house and the cars are literally doing highway speeds, which is why it took me some time to get up the nerve. Thanks for sharing your first ride adventure. Be safe out there.

One thing I would recommend to new riders to keep from stalling is to hold the gas open to like 10% and then just really slowly ease off the clutch. It doesn't matter if you ride the clutch on a bike like you have to worry about it in a car. Cars have dry clutches, bike clutches spin around in oil. It honestly doesn't get hot and burn up like that. Just ride the hell out of the clutch until you get the timing and feel of everything down.
Also, when shifting up remember to completely close the throttle, clutch in, click up, release clutch, then reopen throttle. It will keep the bike from being jerky. You don't have to be all fast and crispy when you are learning how to ride. Just get into the higher gear and then reopen the throttle. You have enough forward momentum and your rpms are up enough that you aren't going to stall or hurt anything when shifting like this, even when done slowly. It will get faster and smoother with a little bit of practice.
And one last thing, remember that the rear brake is great for holding the bike still at a stop and on a hill, you can do the thing I mentioned about giving the gas about 10% and then easing off the brake as you are releasing the clutch to keep from rolling backwards.

Grats on the new bike bro. One huge piece of advice ii have is totally forget about other cars being mad at you because you’re holding them up while turning or getting moving from a stop. It allows you to concentrate more on your fundamentals of the bike and pay attention to what’s going on around you. All those nerves will go away eventually and you’ll be able to really enjoy your ride (=

This video is really impactful for me. Bro is clearly scared, has very minimal idea what he’s doing, and seems a bit overwhelmed. But Despite all that he is still doing it, he’s still trying and trying until he gets it even tho he’s scared and out of his comfort zone. I hope to break down my walls and live in a similar way, Thanks for the Vibes, Much Love
