This video series is awesome. We went to the Big Island 4 years ago for 2 weeks and that was one of our best vacations we have taken. You need to make sure you go to the Big Island next. You will love it. Thanks for taking us with you on your travels. Love you guys.

What a fun way to spend your birthday, Ashley! I'm so sorry you didn't get to swim with the sea turtles, though. Mike and I visited Maui many years ago and spent most of our time snorkeling -- including with sea turtles! There are lots of great snorkeling opportunities there where you can see sea turtles, both independently at several of the beaches and with snorkel boat tours that take you out farther into the ocean. I can't speak to what traffic is like there now (since we've haven't been there in years), but there is so much to see and do on Maui that I think you would love it. One tip, though -- the best snorkeling there is in the morning, after the sun gets bright enough to see the fish clearly but before the trade winds start to kick up the sand on the sea floor (clouding up the waters). We also did the gorgeous Road to Hana drive and stopped at Maui Wine (winery) to sample and buy some of their pineapple wines - yum!

How fast you travel is all up to you. If you slow down and stay in an area longer (minimum of one month), you'll save money on transportation (flights mainly), housing and food costs as you'd probably prepare more food at your AirBnB. The beauty of slow travel is you have time to see "all" the area you wish. I remember you guys talking about doing that at the beginning of last year. But you've kept the same brisk travel pace you usually do. Josh, lovin' the retro 80's style shorts! Bring back all the 80's style. I miss those parachute pants! Safe travels.

When I went to Hawaii for my honeymoon we went to a beach on the North Shore and there was sea Turtles everywhere, it’s known as turtle beach. It was amazing😁 I didn’t swim with them though.
I agree. People are chill in Hawaii but too chill where service suffers. If you go to Latin America, people are very chill but service is incredible.

I was supposed to go to Hawaii for my 40th birthday but my life had other plans. I have relatives who live there. Many years later, I'm on SSI so I doubt I'll ever get there now. Watching travel videos is as close as I'm going to get.

Definitely a lot more things to do ;) Yes, living here in Hawaii is sooo expensive and I drive through traffic going to work and going home from work everyday. :/ But love it here. ☺️ Yeah, a lot of people here are laid back, but there are quite a few places that give exceptional service. Hope you guys come here again and do a meet and greet!

If you want to see sea turtles than add the Galapagos Islands to your list of must-see places. You can swim with sea turtles, sea lions, marine iguanas..... It's incredible!!!

If you guys go someday, I would recommend seeing the islands on a small cruise ship rather than island hopping on small boats. We did it both ways and found that the little boats are just too rough on the ocean. We ended up taking a ton of Dramamine! The cruise ship was glorious though...barely felt the movement of the ocean, and had a ton of activities that interested both my hubby and I, and also the kiddos! Best trip we ever took!!! BTW...love you guys! Keep creating

I just recently moved to Kauai and it’s true even here the traffic is pretty bad at times. The groceries/eating out is expensive. Definitely no since of urgency for anything really like responding back to things or service or getting things done lots of follow up. We get gas at Costco so it’s usually about $3 something sometimes in the $2 range. And visiting vs living is a whole other story. The pay is terrible for most jobs, breaks and lunches are not required so that’s kinda weird. I like it, but being from San Diego where there’s tons of stuff to do, it’s taking some time to get used to. Aloha from Kauai! 😁🤙🏾🌺✨

Those are really high prices. Gas is 1.99, and milk is 2 bucks here.
You'd be shocked in the UK then..we pay around $6 per gallon of petrol (although we actually buy it by the litre!) :) Milk is cheap though....
If you want to spend time with turtles I can recommend a great place to volunteer in Costa Rica where you help with conservation ... Loving the travels with endless adventures
