- Next project on the channel that is really exciting for us, 1959 Ford F100 Long bed and 2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor chassis swap. In this video, we prep the truck for clear coat and well as create fauxtina (pseudo patina) on the areas that need bodywork. Great work from @FREAKStudios on the airbrush work to bring this to the next level. This series of videos will highlight how to do this conversion as simple and cost effective as possible. We are shooting for $2000 initial budget to have a running driving shop truck. In the future, we will make improvements after we enjoy it for awhile. Also, you know me, this is staying patina!

That satin finish is perfection! 😍🏆
Thank you! A lot of people don't like clear coating old trucks, but buffing them instead. But in certain cases like this one where the paint is flaking off I feel like it's necessary so that it doesn't get carried away! And in my opinion if you're going to clear coat a classic vehicle It has to be satin, not a shiny clear over patina fan!
Ah heres the video with treating the wood in the bed! Im really enjoying this truck build.
Thank you very much for following along!
Awesome Job!

Nice!
Viper engine or power stroke?
@@PenjaminFitness it's a pi 4.6. but a 7.3 power stroke would be rad!
Like the video and where did you get paint mask ?
Thank you! I got it from my local PPG store.
Looks great... what size rims are you running?
The stock 17" p71 wheels
Oh, just my worthless.02 cents. I would look for some older OEM 17 x 8 inch Mustang Crager style cast wheels. I *believe* they made them in two different offsets 45 and 35et.
Not a bad idea!

@@thatmaverickguy859 that's what I was thinking!
Me again, Will the clear paint stick to bare metal even after being prepped with Scotch-Brite?
Yessir, as long as it's etched properly!
@@BestDamnShopAround Thanks for the reply, much appreciated!
