    I don't think I could have gotten a better review than what I received here. As a Hip hop producer I am familiar with only a few of these wind instruments but YOU Sarah have given me the proper education on what I was hearing which is very beautiful. I LOVE your energy. THANK YOU! ❤

    LOL, I never heard a better review. Recorder commands a different flavor, unique. Andre 3000 seems to mesh native/classical/jazz reshaping appreciation the way Ornette Colman caused us to question what we have called music. Instead of music genres we have instruments shaping sound. This is exciting. Thanks Sarah Jeffery.

    Hi, Mrs Sarah Jeffrey! I've watched your videos on RUclips for almost a year now, but this would be my first time of commenting on any of them. My apologies on that. I really want to appreciate you for all your tutorials on the recorder. You are such an amazing teacher. How I would love to meet you in person. I'm from Nigeria, and I never got such lessons like yours on the recorder since my school days, but in less than a year, you've transformed my Recorder playing like literally. Now, when people see me playing the Recorder, they are in awe because of how it sounds(thanks to you). Thank you so much for giving us these lessons on team recorder for free. May God bless you greatly

    I LOVE flutes. I have played flute since 2003 - 20 years now! To be fair, not as regularly as I did in middle and high school (I was in band) but I try to keep it up. I still have the muscle memory and the ability to pick up a piece of sheet music and play it on flute. I am working away at recorder every now and then. I am LOVING the tenor recorder - but my dream is to have the ability to play (and to have) a Soprano, alto, tenor, and basset.
    I already have a soprano, tenor, and alto BUT my soprano is not ideal - it is out of tune and the windway is straight and not curved.

    Is that 432 recorder a waldorf edition one?

    Hello Sarah, would it be possible for you to do a video explaining the recorders theoretical spot in the concert band? Such as instruments that could possibly covered by a recorder to allow them to fit in, such as covering oboe or flute parts on certain recorders?

  • @giralua1
    @giralua1 10 месяцев назад

    I watched the close-ups when André 3000 played on Stephen Colbert's show. Overall the flute looked somewhat like a Native American Flute. It was not a fipple flute, like a recorder, and it was not an end-blown flute (which I find very difficult to get a tone out of) - he was using a tiny mouthpiece sticking out the side near the top, but the closeup wasn't close, steady or long enough for me to get a good look at his embouchure. I couldn't tell if his lips closed around that mouthpiece or if he was blowing into it. I have yet to find a detailed description of the instrument online. If anyone can point one out to me I would appreciate it!

    Native American double flute

  • @aetheralmeowstic2392
    @aetheralmeowstic2392 11 месяцев назад

    Honestly, you should try to learn how to play the Native American flute, more specifically the two chambered variety sometimes called the courting flute.
    It has a rich, earthy, somewhat haunting tone, especially with ones tuned to a lower pitch.
    Keep in mind that they're tuned to a pentatonic minor scale, and the key of a Native American flute is determined by the lowest note it can play.

    There is a difference, between making noises, apart from making music.. the margin grows as large as the difference between making a man hard, versus making love.. that's as simple as I can put it.. one leaves you feeling cheated and expecting more.. he's famous and the media won't allow him, to practice or learn, the instruments.. if he blows a F note, on a harmonica, people will tell him, he needs, to record it, and put him, in a magazine.. they're destroying his space, a plant needs, to grow.
