I'm a youth travel ball and high school coach. And your first tip is the best. Take a break! Get some rest. Baseball is secretly rough on the body. Rest your body but also rest your mind. Stay in love with the game and don't get burnt out on it. Good vid!
Could you please do a video for younger kids but still helpful for adults because there are lots of times 12 year olds like me can’t do weights and things like that so if you could find a way to make it possible for adults and kids, that would be great thanks
Can you make a Video on how to increase bar speed because I am constantly hitting balls to the first baseman and giving them easy outs and I want to drive more to shortstop and third base.
We’ve got quite a few videos on the channel already for increasing your bat speed. Just search “bat speed” or click on our hitting playlist and you’ll find them! That being said, it sounds like you might not be hitting the ball at the proper contact point. Remember, if it’s an inside pitch, hit it more out in front and pull the ball. If it’s over the middle of the plate, hit it back up the middle. If it’s away, let the ball travel a little bit more and drive it to the opposite field!
Try a lighter, shorter bat, step back in the box, open up your stance, think 'drive the ball hard up the middle', swing thought is drive the ball with authority.
Hey man thank you for the videos much needed. Quick question, my dad (who has played ball almost his whole life) told me that I’m shut down from swinging a bat, throwing, and all that stuff from November-mid February. I have been lifting a lot but what do you think about that? Thanks man!
I think taking a short break from throwing is a good idea to rest your arm. But I think you should never stop swinging unless you are nursing an injury. Good luck and keep working hard!
I recommend focusing on dialing in your nutrition and eating quality foods. Stay away from the sugar and processed stuff. Be sure you’re drinking enough water! You should also be lifting weights several times per week focusing on compound movements and baseball-specific movements. And don’t forget about your skill work! Nothing will prepare you more than actually hitting, throwing, fielding ground balls, etc.

Hi, i'm 13 years old and was wondering if there is anything like drills that I should be doing for hitting and infielding. Thanks
Nice video coach Justin I will for sure use this. Have been trying to stay in shape by squatting and benching and doing arm exercises
Awesome to hear! Keep working hard this off-season... it’ll all pay off!
Great vid. What do you recommend for a hitter that is not able to get live pitching on a regular basis?
I'd suggest whoever is throwing you batting practice to mix up speeds a lot so you can work on timing 🙌🙌

Body weight exercises!
What do you mean body weight exercises
@@ethanthimpson9533 Pushups, squats with no weight, lunges with no weight, sit-ups, crunches
Baseball is the only sport without a offseason for some reason
I have been working every day for softball but this video really helps and I’m gonna try to start eating healthy
Diet and nutrition is key!
Thank you so much Justin. 2021 is going to be my best year! ⚾️💪
Thanks for the tips!

@@carloslamadrid1444 there isn’t a set stance, just get a guideline and do what feels comfortable.
