A fatherly figure in the national police service has rested, a General in his sunset , Gitiba Mwita

REST IN PEACE COMMANDANT EZEKIEL GITIBA MWITA, SAIG,COMMANANT BPU.
The Rdu Family Network is saddened to notify us all of the untimely Demise of Mr. Ezekiel Gitiba Mwita [SAIG, COMMANDANT BORDER POLICE UNIT,BPU] .
The late Officer who until his demise was the Commandant Border Police Unit (BPU) felt unconceous on the midnight of 14/12/2023 while in his House within Matuu Township .
He was rushed to Matuu Level 4 Hospital for emergency medication but was pronounced dead on arrival .
The late Officer will not only be missed by the Border Police Unit fraternity (BPU, BPTC, SOG) , but the entire National Police service Family.
Sir Mwita as was known to many previously served as the Commandant National Police College A. Campus and the Commandant SGB/VIP Protection Unit.
As a family we express our deepest condolences to friends , Families and colleagues of the departed Commander as we ask God almighty to give us all strength and courage to soldier on during these hard and trying moments.
Thanks to Members of the National Police service who responded swiftly during the incident so as to save his life .
