So bought my 2016 Colorado in November of 24. My screen was acting up in the same manner. I read up on things that help but they didn't help. Finally I just jumped in the truck. Shut the door and the screens came on like normal. I then pushed the on button on the radio and BINGO! Both screens reset so it's working great now. That is what worked for me.
Thank you so much. My screen has been dead in my 2015 Colorado for about 4 years. I could never bite the bullet and replace the whole thing for $1000. The dealership when troubleshooting moved my speakers to the right front only so it is so great to finally have all my speakers back after four years!!
Thank you, thank you thank you! I just performed the reinstall today and it works flawlessly. I'm so glad I found this. I used your Amazon link and got the new screen for only $105. Install was a breeze except for the plugs, which were a pain, but still did it in less than an hour. Can't believe so many others are having the same issue. Shame on GM for not offering the fix. Even the service depts looked at me like i was crazy. They didnt know about the issue. Thanks so much!!!!
Thank you for the detailed instructions. I have a 2016 Colorado and the middle of my screen was not reactive at all. I purchased the screen found in your description, followed your instructions and now my screen works great. This saved me so much money as the dealer said it would be so expensive to replace he said it really wasn't worth it. Thanks again!
Thank you for making this video and providing the link to the touch screen/digitizer. It was very helpful. The only problem, which I experienced was figuring out how to disconnect the three plugs, which ran from the touch screen.
i viewed this video several times. i replaced the touch screen panel closely following the instructions. new touch screen works. my install was in a 2016 Canyon SLE new touch screen works perfectly, not sure about the steering wheel controls, i don't use them. only issues i enclountered. the star bit is a T15 i didn't have, ran to Lowe's got a set. and re-installing the 4 screws that rest deep on each side are difficult; need a mag. holder to keep the screw in line with the hole. The only other issue i encountered was when re-connecting the ribbon connectors, it is sort of hit or miss as to the connection. I got lucky. thanks for this video. mines up and functioning again.
Thank you for this video, I am taking stuff appart right now, do I need to disconnect the neg on the battery ?? Update,, I did all you said and it all works :-0). Did not disconnect,, thanks very !!
Did you have to do any reprogramming afterwards? I didnt notice in the video if you said you did or not. Im about to do the same with my 2015 z71 colorado

Thanks so much for this. Bought the replacement unit from your link. Put it in my 2018 Chevy Colorado. Super easy. Fixed the issue.
This was pretty helpful, thanks! Used the same screen. Hoping it fixes my issue. I’ll know within a few more startups if it was my problem or not
If you have the ghost touches or dead spots in the screen, I can say with about 99 % confidence this is the problem.
@@tylerclandry good to know! Thanks!

Nope just install and go. Its just the screen not the radio so no programming required
Does the steering wheel controls still work with this screen? Very curious ive been told they wont work with just any screen.
Everything works as it should. No issues with mine so far.
