Wow, 4 huge Chinese upsets in like 2 weeks. Liu Guoliang about to get the belt out and whip everyone in the training hall 😂.

he can't whip everyone. he is too fat to do that 🙂. He'll be out of breath.

Matsushima is only 16, extremely promising. Possibly the most talented young player in Japan.

There seems to be attitude problem expressed through his posture. He could win 3-0!

Sora's coach: "Sora, today we are going to work on your short game"
Sora: "coach, what is short game?"
Never seen a player who doesnt play anything short. Lol. This is unreal stuff

It clearly works for him on some level, but I think it's dangerous because a player with strong short game can really disrupt your game flow and cause cascading misses. You also always have the pressure to make that strong flick... if it's not hitting some days, what do you fall back on?

The moment him and Felix won the youth doubles championship title I knew they both were going to have very bright future and it’s happening.

    身体全体を使ったダイナミックなフォアハンド、コースどりの良さ、バックハンドのスピン系パンチ系の使い分けなど、将来がますます楽しみな逸材だ!怪我に気をつけて頑張れ!

Hugo, Liam, Anton, Lee, Sora all has these straight low to the net that looks like a bullet instead of the high arc topspin curve. It looks beautiful and difficult to block.
Is the world getting better or Chinese getting weaker? Whatever the case, I have a feeling the next Chinese generation won’t be dominating this game anymore!

Hard to prove, we need to look at the dominance of Ma Long and Fan Zhendong

Of course it’s just wishing. But the China Super League does show that the new calibers weren’t nearly as good as the current ones. I know they lack experience but you don’t see someone and go “damn, that’s your future FZD”. Actually, there was one: LGY, but he’s also current gen.
