Before the game, Liu "Let me see if I can fill in for you in case you are injured or something" After the game, Liu "you know I was just joking right?"
Is Liu training Ma for all the illegal serves he's going to encounter during tournament play? Just wondering, since all of Liu's serves were hidden with his arm.
In past, when you serve ,you can hide the serve. But the rule already change when 2001 . Liu Guoliang play in 1995, he have big trouble because the ball change from 38 mm to 40mm and cannot allow to hide his serve. One of Liu Guloiang strengh is third ball attack
The title has to be an exaggeration... why does everything have to be labelled to the maximum? There are other excellent players in the world, too, you know...
because dhs hurricane 3 neo national edition ( blue sponge ) is being crafted with only black , if its not because of that, jt is because of being used to
@@fernandog.m7012 It's said that if you have a red rubber on top of a blue sponge then the red color will be changed, so they only produce black hurricane 3 (blue sponge). Also Some people say that the stickiness on black rubber lasts longer than red one. I doubt that though...
I have heard that black rubbers are more sticky while red rubbers are more bouncy. Also it is easier to see where you hit the ball on black rubbers so easier for self analysis to use black on the most used side (often forehand for chinese players). That is the reason the people who use red on forehand usually are backhand dominant players.
I am Chinese, let me tell you the real reason. The real reason is that, because several years ago, because the production process, the performance of black rubber was slightly better than red rubber. And forehand is more important than backhand during those time. So they used black in forhand and red in backhand. But nowadays, the technolegy becomes far more advanced than before, and this problem no longer exist. So it's doesn't matter which color you put on forehand. But black on forehand, has already became a trodition.
Ma Long ensuring Liu remains in his position as a coach. There is time for everything
Funny to see Liu still retains the habit of hiding the ball with his left arm while serving. Old school.
Liu and Ma Lin really likes to do the hide serve when playing w/ current players lol
Effectable training.
Good old day in tt
they still do. they hide the ball with their heads now. this is why they stoop their heads low and hit the ball beside their heads.
the legendary move haha
Liu's serve tells us: a good serve is always illegal.
It was legal during the era in which he played, plus it's good training for reading the spin of the ball when recieving serves
Ma Long looks like he was genetically designed to play table tennis.
And spoiler alert, he certainly was
he is Chinese, so yes. just like Yao Ming was genetically designed by China to play basketball
Sure, ma long seems to have some potential.
Must see in the future if he can perform in this sport.
Agreed 👍👏✋
his name is ma long
Before the game, Liu "Let me see if I can fill in for you in case you are injured or something"

hahaha
Legend never die
Coach under pressure. Everyone is watching
Black is slower but more spinier. Red is faster but more flat . Just mine opinion
Liu having fun with ma long

that was how he played back when it was legal, rules have changed but he hasnt

the objective of the training is to be able to read the serve EVEN IF MA LONG CANNOT SEE the contact of the ball while being HIT
Lol LGL’s serve is so illegal🤣
its legal back in the old days😂
Old habits die hard, I guess.

😂 sure thing
I can see they all use red rubber in the back and black in the forehead. Any reason? Does color have an influence on the spin (rubber grip)?
Cheers!

@@kaganbulut7951 I see. That makes sense then. I ignored the fact that some rubbers are only produced in one color.
Cheers my friend 👌
