@@adityamittal3885 replying two years later, but when ittf changed the ball size from 38mm to 40mm, Liu found the change unsuitable for his play style, and decided to retire and become a coach. (The larger ball made games slower and had lesser capabilities for spin)
@@Masterbaiter-yx2ll I am surprised because if I am not mistaken, he is a short-pips penholder (short pips on forehand), which does not generate much spin (correct me if I am wrong), but does the larger ball affect pimples players? I am guessing spin should be no problem because pimples don't generate much spin but maybe the game being slowly makes pimples penholder not ideal since a lot of pimples playing style is blocking and smashing which can be exhausting. Correct me if I am wrong.
At the 1994 U. S. Open I alone stood courtside as Liu played Kong. At the time I didn't know who they were or that one of them would soon be World Champion. The game was still played to the 21 points, 2-3 and with the 38mm ball. The ENTIRE match consisted serves and the flip kills and lasted no more than....7 minutes(and that's pushing it)! The greatest thing I have ever seen.
Away from the table Feng TianWei actually has a kind of 'Rachel Maddow' cuteness to her. :) And Liu Guoliang can loosen up and smile when he's not in his regular role of Beastmaster of the Chinese National Team.
people just don't notice because chinese/ taiwanese or even asian table tennis players don't makeup when they play, nobody looks perfect with no make up.

I'm curious to know how many attempts were done to nail the shot? It would be really impressive if some of them were done first go. Great shots none the less.
