In so many tournaments the crowd is 90% chinese nowadays, and you can't have a great atmosphere like that unfortunately.

Would be the same everywhere. Olympic was a little different because you had ppl all over the world coming. For this WTT game, I doubt more than 5% of audiences were non-local

Thats's the way to beat wan chuqing. Spin, tempo changes and spinny pushes in combination with good reactions. I think wan chuqings only strength is his speed. He has nothing more to offer.

@@robbelycops5335 i think i can see very cleary wich techniques wang chuqing is playing with. And there were not nearly as much as anders was playing with. The table tennis Sport is evolving into a very offensive style of playing style wich is good. But the creativity of a truls or anders should Dominate the Sport. Its more interesting to watch and the way to beat the chinese

The best player of Top 32 in every tournament.
Basically, FZD is the last great Chinese player that came out of the dominant CNT dating back from Kong Linghui/Liu Guoliang. Everyone else isn’t up to the challenge except maybe Lin Shidong.

I feel like Wang Chuqin has a chance never win anything big as OG or WC. Fan Zhendong is still around for another few years while Lin Shidong is getting stronger from month to month. Plus there are still Truls, Lebruns brothers and Hugo who could make him troubles.
I don't think he could do what Ma Long did when won his first gold WC medal late at the age of 26-27 and kept winning everything since than. But who knows...

The issue is that Wang Chuqin is facing exactly what Ma long faced a mental barrier. Remember when Ma long was getting better Fan Zhendong was basically Lin Shidong and getting stronger. Things can change, skill can improve, mentality can improve you never know. For a couple events Wnag Chuqin was so dominant he only dropped like 1-2 sets the entire tournament.

I got slated on another thread for stating the chinese robots, meaning orthodox, highly trained, highly drilled, struggle against players who are the antithesis of robots. The match was Alamyan v Lin Gauyuan and the Iranian ran him close. Moregard v Wang Chuqin was my other example. I'm about to revisit that thread and say " told you so!" 😂😂 Nice one Anders!
Wang is simply not that good. Certainly not on the same par as Ma Long.
My man, wang is skill wise number 3 right now being ma long and fan Zhen Dong. He is an amazing player. Everyone has dry periods. Just look at ma long ever since 2023.

wp from enders nice pace gesture, few mistakes, took responsiblities when needed. Wang wasnt mentally ready for that one. Anders also made him incofortable, nice mechanics anderstanding also from Anders , we see real dedication out there.
